A seasonal book in this series but can be read alone. The dresses and the shop itself play a huge role in the storyline. A confrontational with a customer is set to ruin Phoebes idyllic life . Can she and the shop be saved

Having not read the previous books in the series I was going in blind. But I loved this story and will definitely be reading the previous books in the series.

Phoebe is involved in an incident with a customer that then goes viral on socials and she has to take a back seat in the dress shop that she manages and with the threat of losing her job she needs to turn things around in her work life and her love life also takes a hit as well.

When disaster strikes, what will happen and will she be able to fix what she has done recently ?

A lovely return to a favourite book location! I love the Vintage Dress Shop and it's staff. Such well written books with empathy and funny moments running through them, I hope it isn't the last visit we have here.

Wrapped up at the Vintage Dress Shop- Annie Darling

I am a sucker for an old fashioned romance. It is the start of cosy season and I loooove a good cosy romance but I have to say that I did struggle with this book. It was an okay read but nothing really happened and it took me quite a while to finish. Jm a fast reader and I rhink this has taken me at least 2 weeks. I didn't have the desire or motivation to pick it up. It was fine, but certainly not on par with some of the romance books that I have read recently. I don't know if it was because I have been spoiled lately with some excellent romantic fiction or if this just wasn't the best read but either way I can't really give it more than ⭐️⭐️ and even at that, I think Im being generous.
I'm always grateful to get approved for an ARC but this just wasnt my cup of Pumpkin spiced latte. Lol
I've seen that its part of a series, maybe if I'd read the rest of the series Id have been more invested but even still the story was very slow moving and very little actually happened.

Some books feel like stepping into a warm shop on a cold day and Wrapped Up at the Vintage Dress Shop is exactly that. Annie Darling blends festive sparkle, vintage fashion, and emotional depth into a story that’s both stylish and sincere.

🧣 Plot Summary
Phoebe Baker is the proud manager of The Vintage Dress Shop, where every outfit tells a story and her French Bulldog, Coco Chanel, is practically royalty. But when a customer confrontation goes viral, Phoebe’s beloved shop and her job are suddenly in jeopardy.

Enter Freddy, the shop’s business advisor, who’s determined to help Phoebe save the store, even if she’d rather face a fashion emergency than a romantic one. As Christmas approaches, Phoebe must decide whether she’s ready to let someone in not just into her heart, but into her carefully curated world.

This is the third book in the Vintage Dress Shop Romances series, but it works beautifully as a standalone.

💗 What I Loved
Phoebe’s Spark: She’s witty, independent, and emotionally guarded in a way that feels real. Watching her soften is a joy.

The Shop: It’s a character in its own right full of charm, nostalgia, and the kind of magic only vintage fashion can conjure.

Seasonal Vibes: Darling captures the festive spirit with warmth and restraint. It’s cosy without being sugary.

Romantic Tension: The slow-burn between Phoebe and Freddy is well-paced and satisfying.

🧵 Final Thoughts
Wrapped Up at the Vintage Dress Shop is a charming holiday romance perfect for fans of Jenny Colgan, Trisha Ashley, or anyone who believes in the transformative power of a great outfit. If you’re looking for a story that’s equal parts heart and hemline, this one’s worth slipping into.

Such an adorable book! I loved being immersed in Phoebe's world!
She is such a unique character, very guarded and prickly, but wonderfully kind, caring and loving (even if she doesn't know it)
I enjoyed all the details of the vintage clothes, and I didn't know that this was the last book in the series, so now I need to read the rest.
I was hooked on Phoebe's relationship with Freddy, Johnno, and the girls in her shop, and the saga with the influencers who didn't understand her and her clothes kept me reading to find out what happened next.
The ending was absolutely perfect, and I am excited to read more of this series.

Wrapped Up at the Vintage Dress Shop follows fashionista and vintage couture loving Phoebe, deep diving into her choldhood throughout. A rather straight talking manageress, Phoebe finds herself causing a stir in a viral video portraying her bitchy side as she tries to save a beloved vintage dress from an influencer.
Will she and her assistants manage to prevent the shop from going under? Can she salvage her rather tricky relationship with Freddie?

I loved the notion of the story, and perhaps if I'd read the other books in the series I may have been more invested in the novel. Dissapointingly, I found this quite a slow paced story, which in my opinion, lacked a gripping storyline. Thank you to the author and Netgalley for the opportunity to read Wrapped Up at the Vintage Shop.

i mean can we just take a moment to look at that cover. how gorgeous is that?and the book carried on with that same magical charm.
this is part of a series. id say you can read as a standalone but i think its all the better when you get to know a whole gang of people and come back to them like old friends. and then like in this book we get to know one a little better. and this one really took you into Phoebe's story and it certainly explained some of her isms and the way she is. which is someone who is entirely focused, semi obsessed with her dress shop and more to the point picking the right dress for people. or should i say the right people for her dressed.
when one day a costumer encounter goes viral its threatens all she holds dear.
theres all the thread that is getting fraid between her and the man in her life.
but shes got her dog so thats something. and its all she needs right? ermmm....
i really like how Annie describes her settings to us. you get feel of them, you almost see them in your own minds eye.
the characters in this book are definitely ones you might bristle at a few times. but i think thats what makes them actually more readable and humans in this book. we cant be head over heels with every human. but neither do we need to think they are rotters, lol. and i like seeing sides to people, seeing how or why they are this way. and its creates a more caring and kind way towards people and maybe also to put a little thought before we judge.
the charm of this book was once again on point. it was so lovely and felt comforting the whole way through.
its so much about family, friends and love in all its guesses.
lovely book. lovely time with it.

I read the second book in this series, but at the time thought it to be standalone. When I started reading this book, Phoebe's story, I then realised it was the final part of a series. I think each title can be read as a standalone, but it is nice to spend some time with the characters again. I will have to go back and read Sophie's story next. So, I really enjoyed Phoebe's story. Loved the setting, loved the vintage dresses, loved Coco Chanel! I really really liked Freddy too. And I did like Phoebe, but although I understand why she behaved the way she did, I do think her way of speaking to people was "too much". I can't help but wish we'd heard a bit more from Freddy too, especially at the end, as to his thought processes and why he'd done some of the things he had, because I did think at times that he was a little mean. But overall it's a great read and one I will re-read. With thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Anne Darling wraps up the third book in her series with Wrapped Up at the Vintage Dress Shop. You do have to read the first two books to appreciate this book. If you like reading about vintage dresses and romance, this book is for you. The main character loves her job as the manager of the vintage dress shop and her dog more than anything else. She feels a connection to each item and a responsibility – should she sell to just anyone?!
This book is filled with charm, romance, and character growth.
Thank you, NetGalley, for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I didn't realise this was part of a series of books so hadn't read about any of the other characters beforehand. This features Phoebe and her relationship with her co=workers at the Vintage Dress Shop. She is sassy and outspoken and ends up accidentally going viral while 'defending' one of her vintage dresses that an influencer has ruined. Her reputation is in ruins and the shop faces bad publicity, causing ill feeling among her colleagues. Phoebe loves two things - her beloved vintage dresses and her dog Coco Chanel. Oh and Freddy ... but they are on/off and neither know where they stand with each other. Life all of a sudden becomes unnecessarily complicated.

A good little easy reader perfect for the summer. Thank you to all for the advance copy!

'Wrapped Up at the Vintage Dress Shop' is the latest book in this series by Annie Darling. I had read one of the previous books and had no problem picking up the threads (ha!) of the story, and it could easily be read as a stand-alone novel. This book focuses on Phoebe, manageress of the Vintage Dress Shop, and explores her past. Phoebe is an intriguing character - vintage fashion is her life and her passion, so much so she on occasion refuses to sell items to customers she thinks won't treasure it! When a tricky situation in the shop is recorded and goes viral, her life has she know it suddenly changes... Phoebe's back story is explored as Phoebe tries to move forward in her new normal. A great holiday read, thank you to Netgalley for my ARC (this has not affected my review).

Wrapped Up at the Vintange Dress Shop. The story is set in a Vintage Dress Shop in London and it's team of women, who run the shop. The story revolves around Phoebe, the manageress who is more passionate about vintage dresses than people.

I loved the dynamic between the women who work at the dress shop. Their little dramas, friendship, fights, secret romances, all are so much fun to witness.

Thoroughly enjoyed this story of Phoebe and her passion for all things vintage, in particular dresses. I hadn’t realised it was part of a series, but still that didn’t deter me from reading it, in fact I’m on the hunt for the others in the series!

This was a good read, I enjoyed all the vintage clothes.

Another great book from the Vintage Dress shop. I do love my visit back to the shop and the various characters and their loving animals. A beautifully written story with twists and turns that makes for a book difficult to put down. A real page turner.

Good story. Easy reading. Good characters. Did find a little strange that their were no consequences for taking one someone's identity

Annie Darling is a brilliant writer that manages to bring her characters to life right from the pages of her book.

Phoebe and her French bulldog Coco Chanel live on a boat, Phoebe is the manager of a vintage dress shop. phoebe's story is emotional and complicated and has made her the woman she has become. Can she change? Does she want to? Phoebe is passionate about the vintage clothes shop , but her customer service could be vastly improved, leading her to get herself into trouble with an online influencer, further complicated by Freddy, her secret boyfriend and the boss!

This book is full of emotional up's and down's, I loved it and couldn't wait to find out how Phoebe's story ended. You will not be disappointed!

Third in The Vintage Dress Shop series. I liked the previous two, I liked this one as well. This outing features Phoebe, the least likable, and most interesting of the recurring characters. These are billed as romances, but they are more about friendships, family (found and otherwise) and finding your passion. Romance is a side quest.
Phoebe’s consuming passion is vintage dresses, to the exclusion of much else. She seems obsessive, controlling, like kind of a bitch, and someone badly in need of therapy. With this installment, we get to learn why Phoebe is the way she is, and understand her a bit better. She experiences a good bit of growth throughout the course of the story; I even found my self relating to certain aspects of her character (I am as surprised as you are). In summary, another solid outing from Annie Darling. Recommend.
