The was a great book but I did not realize when I read it that it was part of a series. Now I will need to go back and read the other books that came before... It works fine as a stand-along title but now that I've started reading Darling's books, I want to go back and read them all

Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

As someone who loves fashion and vintage this was the perfect fit for me! I love anything to do with owning a fashion business and I thought Freddy was an adorable love interest as well. I highly recommend this book to readers looking for a light cozy escape love story.

I enjoyed this and would happily read the others in the series now - I didn't realise it was the last and it worked really well. The author created some great characters and there was just enough humour, romance and empathy to make this an engaging read. Would recommend.

Book Review: Wrapped Up at the Vintage Dress Shop by Annie Darling
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

Annie Darling wraps up charm, romance, and holiday cheer in the utterly delightful Wrapped Up at the Vintage Dress Shop. This cozy, heartwarming story is the literary equivalent of your favorite festive sweater—snug, sparkling, and just what you need for a feel-good escape.

Phoebe Baker is the kind of heroine you instantly root for: bold, fashion-obsessed, and fiercely loyal to her boutique and her fabulous Frenchie, Coco Chanel. Her world is full of vintage glamour, but when a viral mishap threatens everything she’s built, Phoebe’s picture-perfect life starts to unravel. Enter Freddy, the patient and quietly smitten business advisor, who brings both heart and heat to the story.

Darling masterfully stitches together themes of self-worth, redemption, and learning to love beyond the fabric of fantasy. The romance is slow-burn and sweet, with just the right touch of tension to keep you swooning. And the holiday backdrop? Pure magic. Expect fairy lights, festive fittings, and enough vintage fashion references to make your inner stylist swoon.

This book is tailor-made (pun very much intended) for lovers of romantic comedies, vintage aesthetics, and stories with a strong emotional thread. It's as much about finding yourself as it is about falling in love—with a person, a place, or a perfectly preserved 1950s gown.

Verdict: Wrapped Up at the Vintage Dress Shop is a glittering, cozy rom-com that proves love—like fashion—is best when it's timeless. Pour yourself a hot chocolate, cuddle up with your pet, and let Annie Darling sweep you off your (stylishly clad) feet.

I had not realised that this was the fourth book in a series. I enjoyed it so much that I really do want to go and read the other three. I really liked the setting in the vintage bookshop. I also thoroughly enjoyed the characters. A really recommended read

I think Annie Darling has saved the best until last in this series! Having read the previous books, I didn’t think Phoebe could carry her own story but I was proved wrong. It was wonderful to dive into her character and understand how her past has shaped who she is, and then to watch as she opens up to new opportunities, friendships and relationships. This has been another wonderful series of books. Annie Darling effortlessly transports us to almost magical settings and I can’t wait to see where she takes us next.

I thought I'd read this book before but turns out it's part of a series so I now need to go and read the rest of the books.

A beautiful book with some amazing descriptions of vintage dresses and fashions. You can't help but feel sorry for Phoebe with her hard protective shell from such a raw beginning. A wonderfully romantic story, watch out for the cracks in the shell!

Oh what a darling of a read and one I enjoyed rather wonderfully. Phoebe Baker is a wonderful and delightful character and love the bulldog (Coco Chanel). This is definitely a feel good read and has everything you want from a good easy to read heart-warming book.

I love all the characters in the book as they each bring their own unique personality to an already great story. Although this is the first and only book I have read from this author I can assure you it won't be the last!

Thank you NetGalley and Hodder & Stoughton for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

This is the last one but you could read as a stand alone. Phoebe was one hell of a character . She annoyed you, you understood her and she finally was likeable. I love the vintage clothes shop. The staff are brilliant . Coco was a spoil but adorable dog. You just read and read. Johnno was one of my most favourite characters. Just read and escape. Can’t wait to see Annie Darling writes next. A perfect ending.
