Thank you to the publisher for sending me an e-copy of the final installment to the HMRC series.
I did reread the first and second book before diving into this one but to be honest, the author provides enough information at the start of the book that you probably don't actually need to do this!
This book was so exciting, action packed, tense, with many twists and turns that I didn't see coming. Personally, it was the perfect ending to the trilogy.
The character development for all the main characters was moving and emotional and really well done, everything was tied up well and for the majority of the book I could not put it down.
This is hands down my favourite in the series and I can't wait to be able to talk about it with more people!

A perfect ending to this trilogy, I adored this. It did such a good job to tie up loose ends and had such a satisfying ending. I will miss these characters!!!

HMRC
What an ending, an epic conclusion to the series with some bittersweet moments at the end. Still truly a satisfying send off for all these characters we have grown to love!
This story has everything we loved about the previous stories, girlhood, magic and telling the most beautiful stories that we don’t get told enough. This is a tale about family, bloody and chosen, about how it’s never too late to make the right decisions and about knowing your worth and owning your powder.
This was a time spinning tale, that played out like a movie in my mind, with the excellent world building this author is so good at. A story about strong women, a tale the whole world should hear.
I’ve loved this world, these women, this stories. Thank you for story Juno, they’ll be missed but everytime I see HMRC … I’ll know ✨

What a ride! Human Rites delivers everything I hoped for and so much more. I couldn't wait to dive straight into this book after finishing The Shadow cabinet, and I was swept up immediately in the most epic fantasy I've ever read set in our modern world. Juno Dawson has a remarkable talent for blending the everyday with the extraordinary, and this installment truly explores that magic in a way that feels both fresh and deeply rooted. One of the aspects I adored most was the detailed exploration of the magic. It dove even deeper into solidly established elements but also introduced new facets that enriched the lore of the series.
It is almost impossible to talk about this book without getting into spoilers, but I'll give it a go anyway. This last instalment dives even deeper into the history of these beloved witches and the monumental moments that have shaped their lives. Every turn of the page brought a mix of joy, heartbreak, and jaw-dropping twists that kept me turning the pages well into the night. I went on this emotional rollercoaster right alongside them, feeling every high and low as their stories interwove with one another, making the hardships all the more real and the victories all the sweeter.
It’s clear that the witches of HMRC have grown in ways that have captured my heart completely. Every single character became someone I could not help but care for. Their journeys, with all the twists and complex emotions, have left a lasting impression on me, and I'm really sad that this series is over. It was truely magnificent, and unforgettable as a whole and I can't wait to see what Juno Dawson will come up with in the future.
If you crave an epic fantasy that is rooted in our modern world, this is a must read journey you won't soon forget.

HMRC IS BACK.
What to expect:
✨ Witches taking on the apocalypse
✨ More twists and turns than the Scottish countryside
✨ Rage
✨ EMOTIONS
It's near impossible to talk about this book without spoiling the entire bloody thing so I won't. What I will say is that there's A LOT happening so if you have an attention span like me where you get distracted by a spec of dust floating about, then read this on a day when you have full brain power. You need to absorb every damn moment I promise.
Am I really sad we won't hang out with the gang in HMRC any more? Absolutely. But I'm also real happy that it's ended when it has. Consider my cold little heart satisfied.

An epic finale for a truly wonderful trilogy. All of witch and wizard kind have time band together to save the world. I couod not have predicted the twists and turns of this if I tried, all in the very best way.

3.5 stars.
An overall satisfying end to the trilogy with all of the pop culture references and girl power vibes that the reader expects from the last two books. There is a lot I like about this book - the humour is well done, I love the community of Witches and how each of the characters are developed. Elle and Leonie especially steal the show. There are also a lot of really amazing lines in this book that I highlighted
I will say that the pacing of the book is strange - a lot of it is quite slow then suddenly rushes at the end to try and connect all of the plot at the end. However, I imagine the rise of Satan and leviathan would probably feel that hectic!
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC!

A group of women who love each other, and not necessarily in the romantic way. They are friends. They are sisters. They are family. They are a Coven.
The story reaches its apex, its conclusion.
Everything comes to an end. What type of ending? Good or bad?
I had been waiting for this book for a long time.
I read the previous two books in series, plus their prequel: at this point I had no doubts this one would have been as incredible.
The plot develops starting from the turning point that ended the previous book.
We find new twists, old acquaintances, new coincidences, but are they really coincidences?, new ties, old ties.
The many kinds of relationships are some of the real Treasures of this series.
It’s hard for me to put it into words. The strength of the plot, kept together by its apparent simpleness, its deep topics, the unforeseeable moments, the power of words but followed by facts.
I watched with trepidation, surprise and satisfaction, the Strength of these women.
I won’t give spoilers.
It is, without a doubt, a Urban Fantasy.
The story in itself, as in the previous books, is unpretentious. There’s just the right balance between events and politics, feelings, changing, stability… and it is in no way banal.
Yet this series is all new. I’ve never read something like it.
This book, like the entire series, is written with a deep knowledge of the facts, first handed experience and mastery of the various topics and situations and social conditions. No sensationalism allowed.
We find something more primitive: the ties that keep people together, as well as let them overcome life together. The desire for some sort of redemption, for strength, to fight against something you know is wrong in your heart, may be the prejudices or the final villain. The truthfulness they treat each other, with no doubt in their hearts, no hesitation, with faith despite it all. The hesitation that come from past sorrow, the chance to overcome it; the desire for change – changing things or changing oneself.
It brought me, once again among known people, who are about to battle the greatest menace of all, that could separate or keep them together.
I consider them all my friends.
As with all previous books, we find chapters of the right length, with many POVs; everything is very well written, the narrative rarely drags: it’s very dynamic, which makes it more interesting.
The plot involved me very much, in particular when they talk about old age, which is a very delicate topic for me: in this case we find not only sadness, also much hope.
I loved everything. From the characters to the world building and descriptions and events, this series captured me.
I see the expert hand of the author and I like the way she writes very much. I will surely read her future publications.
To this book, as I did to all the previous books in series, I give full 5⭐! ❤️

The ending of this book was absolutely brilliant, it was the perfect ending for these characters. Best book in the series by far and I’m sad to be saying goodbye to them. It was so well written and I was shocked and amazed constantly

4 STARS
Ok, so... did I enjoy this as much as the first two books? No. Did I still have a great time? Yes.
I think the pacing of this book is all over the place which is likely what made this a 4 star read for me rather than a 5 star like the other books. It was super fast paced in some places where it definitely needed to slow down, then slowed for parts that didn't need to be that sluggish. The time travel element didn't help with this pacing either.
That being said, I still had a great time with this. The character development was on point as always and I got to see some very satisfying character arcs within this story.
The plot was good, and I think the ending is satisfying so I don't think many will be disappointed with how this series came to its end.
I wish the pacing had been worked on a little more. If that had of been nailed, this would have easy been a 5 star read for me, but was just lacking that finesse the other books had.
Overall, a good end to a fabulous series. Not sure what to do with my life now!

I am a huge fan of this series, so when I was approved to read the finale I dropped everything to read it immediately. I was not disappointed. This is the perfect ending to an incredible series. Juno Dawson has created an incredible world that blends the complexities of family and friendship with current-day issues, deep emotion, and just the right amount of humour. I am devastated to be saying goodbye to the Hebden Girlies! The growth of the characters has been beautifully written and the redemption arcs have been masterful. This is truly a perfect conclusion to an epic saga of magic, friendship, and growth.

What a FANTASTIC conclusion to the series! I've adored following the witches in this series and believe me when I say, the twists we saw before are NOTHING on this one!
This nicely wrapped up everything I needed, especially loved the final look at what happens after to the characters.
I will say there is A LOT going on in this one, especially with a brand new twist, that while I want to keep it spoiler free, took my brain some getting used to. That being said, this is a book about witches, demons and the end of the world, so just go with it!
I raced through this to see what would happen. Like I mean ignored EVERYTHING I needed to do to read as much as I could. Totally page turning, edge of my seat wrapped up in this final instalment of the HMRC series.
The sisterhood and characters in this are on point! Exactly what the power of women, and witches, should be about. I love the personalities and diversity across this book. You just so want to be part of that circle of friends.
Loved this series and the author blows it out the water with this epic conclusion! Now I'm just sad it's over.

Continue to be OBSESSED with HMRC and I’m sad to have finished! Love every character and always great twists I didn’t see coming!

What a finale to on of my favourite series!!
I could not have guessed this plot if you paid me and I could not stop reading. The stakes could not have been higher and the morale could not have been lower but if there's something Juno Dawson knows how to do, it's write kickass female characters who will not go out without a hell of a fight. The affects of the previous books are not ignored and our girls are in some state but the individual growth and the love and sisterhood was amazing.
This is truly a girl power series through to the end and does an incredible job of looking at women-women relationships, whether that be friends, lovers, parent/child, or sibling.
I'm so sad it's over but can't wait to re-read them all again.

I love this series, and this was a great finale. Tension builds, everyone gets their time to shine, and the epic battle at the end is epic on all scales. I did miss some of the more homely snapshots of the witches that we're treated to in earlier books but overall I was totally enthralled by Human Rites and couldn't put it down.

This was the MOST amazing ending to the trilogy we could have wished for! I thought I knew where this book was going to go and O boy was I wrong. I was shook reading this (in all the best ways). it made me laugh, squeal, scream, cackle, want to throw the book across the room! Basically the ride of my life. The crew are as badass as usual and honestly I did not see anything coming. Dawson has obviously know exactly what she was going to do to us from book 1 and oh wow she executed it to perfection!
I do not know what I will do without this series now, I have been along for the ride since day 1 where I saw this book advertised on booksta. I cannot wait to see what Dawson does next. And yes I have not talked about the book much, because i do not want to spoil even a single moment. Other thank you all knowing the 90's references are still on point in book 3!

All too soon the magnificent HMRC series has come to an end with this grand finale. And what a showstopper!
The Coven and Hebden Witches have to dig deep and draw on every power and alliance they have in order to vanquish Lucifer and save the world as they know it for themselves and for all who follow after. Throughout the series, the hard topics, the humour, the resilience and downright fierce celebration of womanhood in all its guises are handled expertly. It’s an absolute joy to read and I’m gutted it’s over. Brilliant stuff.
My thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley. This review was written voluntarily and is entirely my own unbiased opinion.

Girls just wanna have fun and also cast spells and fight the patriarchy?
Well, I should be clear: the patriarchy in this case is literally Satan. (But also a bit of just the patriarchy.)
At book 3 in this series, 4 if you count the 0.5 novella, you know what you're getting into here and if it works for you. These are very witchy books with a lot to say about gender and womanhood and friendship. And while some of it may seem pretty on the nose and obvious to the point where you don't really need to have it said, you just have to look at the world around us to realize that oh yeah, this does really need to be said again.
I appreciate how distinct each character is. They all have their own demons (some literally) and their own arcs, but at the heart of it all, their bond is always there, which is just wonderful. Some arcs worked better for me than others, but I thought all were satisfying and earned.
The book has a very defined tone, it's very millennial. Which, as a millennial, did work for me! But I found that depending on my mood, it could also be a bit much, so I had to make sure I was in the right mindset to read this because the style really does want its reader to have fun with it (and also get punched in the emotions a bit).
For a conclusion, I felt the plot moved fairly well and, as every book in this series, had unpredictable moments. This isn't a series where anyone ever feels safe, which I appreciate.
I always find it a bit tough to write a coherent review of a final book without getting into spoilers, because so much of my thoughts of the book and the series as a whole revolve around how it wrapped up. So I'll just say that this series is a lot of fun, had some great and extremely relevant themes, and while I never quite connected fully with it, I think due to the aforementioned narrative tone, I did enjoy it. If you're a millennial who likes witches, friendship, feminism, and is not a bigot, then this will hit a lot of marks.
Thank you to the publisher, HarperVoyager, and to NetGalley for the ARC.

What a finale! The witches of Hebden Bridge have work to do, don't get in their way. A really well paced wonderful story.

Human Rites is a heartfelt, fast-paced and powerful goodbye to our Hebden Bridge witches. The long anticipated finale to the Her Majesty’s Royal Coven series was in my opinion how you go out with a bang.
There were a few elements that felt a little rushed or abrupt but then again there was a lot to cover to tie up all of the character arcs from the multi-povs. All of the characters stepped into their own power or levelled up in some way by confronting their past traumas and choosing their futures. I really loved the sense of sisterhood, the celebration of enduring female friendship, representation of found families and the central thread of unconditional love and acceptance. There’s a sense of gritty reality to the writing style which can feel a little harsh in places but also makes the characters feel more truthful and unapologetically who they are. This makes the dynamics between them stronger as, in this book more than ever, they need to rely on and believe in each other to defeat their biggest threat yet and, to do so, they need to understand each other and their part in a battle between ancient entities.
Prophecies, huge stakes, uniting covens and facing your own demons. What more could you ask for? A very satisfying and unexpected conclusion to the trilogy.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the digital arc in exchange for an honest review.
