I’m not sure how I am meant to move on. It’s non-stop from page 1. I couldn’t love it anymore.
Juno has this insane talent and can’t wait to see what she does next

This book is a satisfying end to this trilogy globally. We start with a complex situation where everything is going downhill, and we see as we read every piece of the puzzle being put back together.

The characters were so interesting to read as they are humans with demons, and to see them accept or overcome them was so true to reality. They are just millennials, with all the references coming with it, who want to make a change for the world and sometimes struggle to do it, but grow while doing it. The thing is that there is an imbalance in the povs we follow, whether it be the four Hebden Girls or the other characters. However, there is a character that I learned to like in this book, contrary to the previous book, Senait. I would like to have a book just about her and her adventures.

This book feels enough without being enough. I think I would have liked two books and not only one, as there are a lot of important moments that are rushed, and there is a lot to wrap up. Some events are slow to come and end too quickly. There is a part that I struggle with with as it can be complex to understand how it works and what the characters will learn from that, but also I always find this method to be an easy way to explain elements that we need to have to understand the end (Also spoiler: I’m not a time travel girly). The fact that we follow a lot of viewpoint doesn’t help this feeling as we easily change of settings or part of the story for only some pages.

Overall, the book wraps up the series really well. However, as there is a ton to tie up, which makes some of the plot sometimes difficult to follow.

Regarding the series, I’m sad to have finished it, and I think that’s why I would have liked to have two books instead of one. I liked to be back with this eclectic group that, as the books are published, is becoming larger, even if you have a core of four millennials who fight for their beliefs with comprehension, communication and love. I can’t recommend it enough!

Thanks to NetGalley and HarperCollins for sending me a digital review copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

I just KNOW I am going to absolutely love this book!!!

I am, however, sadly going to have to patiently wait on my pre order coming through as sadly the e-book format on my kindle is absolutely diabolical and I can't make it past 4% :(

Well book 3 really took my breath away! So much going on but a very satisfying read. Will I read the full series again?? Yes!! Read them all.

I enjoyed this series, and this final book was a great ending. The fight between good and evil, and the battles among the witches themselves, kept the tension going throughout the story.
(While this is a positive review, the bad formatting at the beginning of every chapter made it a struggle to read, and took me out of the story each time.)
A well-written witchy series with some serious themes, it's sad to say goodbye to the characters. Recommended.

I unfortunately could not get along with the formatting of this book. It made it incredibly difficult to read and it took me about 3 days to get 9% in. That's coming from a typical book a day kinda girly. Upsetting as the other instalments in the series have been five star reads for me! I will have to wait for my preorder to read this properly.

What a finale! I have absolutely loved this series. Such a great plot, twists and turns. Amazing!! Loved all of the characters, and I'm so glad how it ended!

Thank you to the author, publisher and netgalley for an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. I reread the previous books and I’m so pleased I did. Such an easy read and kept me gripped from the start!

Having just read the last page of this final book in the series all I can say is WOW! It certainly lived up to all expectations and was a perfect ending to the story. No spoilers …if you haven’t read this series yet you have a real treat in stall. I probably off to read it from the start again. Thank you so much Juno Dawson for creating this world and I’m so sorry that it has finally come to an end. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC of this wonderful novel in return for an honest review.

What a wonderful way to bring this series to an end. Four books, three in current time and one Victorian parts to the whole story. Read them in order if you can. I found it interesting after the big witch against evil battles in earlier books, and how book two ends that much of this book is much gentler, and seems to me about finding peace for Niamh, her found family and her witch friends. Time travel leads to some revelations about the past. The evil characters probably won’t agree, but just maybe Gaia knows best after all. Thank you to Harper Collins UK, Harper Fiction and NetGalley for the ARC. The views expressed are all mine, freely given.

SUCH an incredible series, this was so satisfying🥹 honestly the entirety of this was told immaculately. beautiful womanhood. the povs and timelines all had me hooked and it was so easy to keep up with. there is nothing i love more than a fully fleshed out and detailed ending, juno dawson did not miss on a single FRAGMENT of this plot. cannot recommend enough & i will be getting shelf copies of the 2nd and 3rd ASAP (i am the worst af finishing a series right away so to have got the sequels on an kindle cause i HAD finish is so rare for me)

This was my favourite book of the series by far! Everything leads to this confrontation between the good and the evil, and I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see who - if anyone - could be saved.

I've loved seeing all these characters come to life over the course of the trilogy, and this brought together their stories in such a satisfying way. (Niamh and Ciara in particular had some great character development!) However, it isn't just the characters, but their environments that shine through this finale. There was so much more to learn about the witches and their history, and I would happily read a whole book just explaining the lore!

There were a few places where I had to suspend my disbelief, and plot points that seemed to come slightly out of the blue, but I can definitely overlook that for such a gripping end to the series. I desperately need more people to read this so I can discuss it now!

Books with similar vibes - The Once and Future Witches by Alix E Harrow, The Women Could Fly by Megan Giddings, The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness and Modern Divination by Isabel Agajanian.

Thank you so much Harper Collins UK & Netgalley for the arc!

„She was bloated on a thousand swallowed words. She'd bottled it for so, so long but it was time to release it: her rage."

•looming apocalypse
•witches vs Satanis
•time travel
•female rage
•trans & intersex witches

What's going on:
Niamh is back from the dead, but brought back an unwelcome hitchhiker. Luke turned out to be a witchfinder and is missing, while Ciara is rotting in a prison for witches. Elle is mourning her son, who turned out to be Lucifer, and Leonie is in for a shocking surprise.
Theo has the opportunity to save her family from Satanis but it would mean sacrificing humanity.

What I liked:
All that happened in the series was so well connected and the open plots were tied up neatly. Especially the time travel parts helped to really understand the impact of all the little decisions previously made. I also loved to get glimpses into the timelines of previous witches millennia ago, back to the very first witches.

What I didn't like:
I missed that the girls never really got the time to talk through everything that happened, especially Niamh and Ciara. So many things happened to them individually, that were part of the bigger picture, but the others never got to know.

I have been dying to read Human Rites since the jaw-dropping ending of book two had me screaming at the pages – it did not disappoint!

This was the perfect conclusion to the HMRC trilogy – I loved getting more time in the POVs of our favourite characters and seeing how they all handled the build up to the final battle. Every twist and turn had me at the edge of my seat and unable to put the book down.

Not only did I love how the final confrontation played out, I absolutely loved discovering where all the women went from there, and how their own happiness played out. As always this series is full of incredible representation, and I was particularly thrilled to see honest and loving polyamory portrayed in this final book.

This has just confirmed HMRC as one of my all time favourite trilogies!

I loved the first two books of the series as well as the novella Queen B so I was excited to be accepted to read the arc of Human Rites and it definitely didn't disappoint and in fact it's now my favourite of the series, It was such a fast paced book that I struggled to put down and I loved the character development throughout the book. It made me laugh so many times but it was also heartbreaking and had twists that I didn't expect. The ending was the perfect way to wrap up the series and answered all the many questions I had throughout the book. I can't recommend the series enough, it's such an amazing witchy series with LGBTQIA+ representation and I so can't wait to see what Juno writes next.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC

What a great ending to a great saga! With Human Rites, Juno Dawson brings the HMRC trilogy to a roaring, unforgettable close — and what a series it’s been: roisterous, heartfelt, and full of magic, mayhem, and meaning.

Here, the enemies feel chillingly real and so relevant to our times: fear and hate, transphobia and misogyny made flesh; and it all builds toward a final confrontation that’s both thrilling and cathartic. The daughters of Gaia, Elle, Ciara, Leonie, Theo and Niamh, must prepare to face the ultimate darkness: Satanis and his grotesque troupe. And boy, does it deliver?!

I knew I’d enjoy this final volume. Dawson’s characters are magnetic, their world achingly real, and their struggles so close to home. Every twist and side story pulls you in deeper, all leading toward a final showdown that absolutely doesn’t disappoint.

Witty, surprising, emotional, I turned the last page with that big, lingering feeling in your chest that only the best stories give you.

Thanks for HarperFiction and Netgalley for the arc!

I've said it before and I'll say it again : I love the witches of Hebden Bridge.

However, this title was easily the weakest of the main trilogy.

While the world itself remains incredible and the plotlines, although very chaotic, merge beautifully, it is the characters and writing which let this title down. Many of the characters- so distinct in the first two books in the series- merge together. Characteristics of Leonie, in particular, seem to take a backseat in order to make other plots more convenient.. Every woman, who previously had a strong, unique voice, speaks more and more like the previous character Helena and the only term of endearment they seem to know is 'darl'

Plot points and characters are made purely for convenience and often Dawson goes on tangents which have nothing to do with the scene at hand.

A disappointing end to one of my favourite series.

I absolutely loved the first two books, but what a trial this last one turned out to be.
The formatting was terrible, each chapter started with the same two paragraphs, with lines from other chapters idly floating into view and leaving just as rapidly, in the end I had to download it to my husbands laptop, he wasn’t amused!
Once the story settled down, there were twists and turns enough to make me wish it wasn’t the final book. There was an energy and life to the characters, each back story had relevance to the whole , there were witches, demons and time travelling, the pace was frantic, and made you catch your breath, it was exciting to learn about the power of this extreme sisterhood. It is raw, emotional and wild, but feminine at the same time, and I think that YA readers will take comfort from knowing that, yes, the world maybe be in a state of flux , but it seems to have been that way forever, however friends and determination count for a great deal and that is also magical in its own way.
At the age of 70, I have enjoyed this HMRC series and the prequel Queen B, which was my favourite of them all.
I have rated this as a four star read. I have recommended this to my daughter, who is a book selector at her local library. I will leave reviews to Goodreads and Amazon UK upon publication.

Now this, is how you finish a series!
It is difficult to talk about the book without giving spoilers, but what a ride this whole series has been. The characters, and this whole journey has been absolutely amazing!
This book was fast paced, and definitely kept you on your toes until the very end. It is definitely bittersweet having to say goodbye to such a beautiful world the author created for us, but what an epic story this was!!!
