A Dance-Moms-esque psychological drama, this is a great read that keeps you guessing until the end. You can never truly trust any of the characters and that keeps you intrigued. Really enjoyed this and would recommend.

What's Yours is Mine is a thriller novel following Kate and Collette as they compete for a prestigious dance scholarship. The story has a Dance Moms-esque vibe to it with the drama and chaos that ensues. I truly could not believe what I was reading most of the time, it was so ridiculous. I definitely struggled at times because the plot was so petty and insane. Just unreliable narrator after unreliable narrator.

I wouldn't read something like this again since it's way out of my wheel house but it was an enjoyable read. 3/5 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC. All opinions expressed are my own.

What’s Yours Is Mine is the dance moms book that tops the trend I’ve been seeing, full of mysteries and bad behavior that is hard to solve but easy to love. Kate and Colette have grown up together as talented young dancers, though Kate’s single mom Valerie has worked hard to get them in a place where Kate can succeed next to wealthier Colette and her ex dancer mother Elise’s more privileged upbringing. The two girls are up for a competitive dance competition with generous prizes and the chance for exposure when Elise realizes Kate may be outshining Colette in talent - and may even be trying to sabotage her.

What follows is a lot of adults acting like kids and shady characters and behavior emerging under the pressure. The two girls are more of a mystery - until the very end, that is, when some interesting insights unveil what’s really at foot. This book had a lot happening that flowed together very well (making it feel more simplistic and easy to follow, perhaps due to how interesting the story was). I adored it and wish it was longer!

I have finished reading this 2 or 3 books ago yet I am still having a hard time collecting my thoughts. The story and the writing captured my interest right from the very start. I even had a hard time putting it down, despite my eyes so heavy with sleep. At some point, I also just had to stop and give myself time because some parts just hit way too close to home and I needed time to process. You could tell it was written by a woman because she really put into words and made a story of the complex relationships among women, especially between a mother and daughter.

I read so much suspense that it’s hard to impress (or surprise) me — but this sparkling novel really stands out from the crowd. I got sucked into the story right away — the characters swiftly became real to me, and the building intrigue made it impossible for me keep my promise to myself to go to bed after “just one more chapter.” The author shows a deep understanding of how each person develops their own flaws — I found myself having empathy even for characters who make choices (I hope!) I never would! The final twist was the best of all — it made total sense, but I never saw it coming, which in my opinion is the best kinds of twist.

5 Stars! Jennifer Jabaley’s What’s Yours Is Mine grabbed me from the first page and wouldn’t let go until I’d finished the whole thing! Compelling characters and a plot that kept me guessing the whole way through.

What’s Yours Is Mine immediately drew me in from the first page. Such a great blend of characters you loved, characters you wanted to pull for, and characters you were compelled to loathe.
I didn’t guess the ending and was truly questioning everyone’s innocence the entire time. Jabaley did a great job of weaving in suspense and building a story of characters with such depth. A fast-paced great read.

What's Your is Mine tells the story of Colette and Kate, two best friends who are dancers with big dreams. But Colette's mom, Elise, has even bigger dreams and is determined to push her daughter to stardom. When their friendship slowly turns to a rivalry over a big dance competition, things get dark very quickly.

This book is a peek into the dark world of competitive dance. The lengths that Elise pushed Colette to in order to "beat" her best friend is a bit nauseating. The fact that those kind of things actually happen is even more so. I really, REALLY disliked Elise as a whole. There really wasn't any redeeming quality to be found. She pushed her daughter to the point of anxiety attacks and treated the rest of her family like they were just background characters in the "Elise and Colette show". She's a great character to hate. Lol! Kate's mom, Valerie, is the opposite end of the spectrum and worries about the pressure her daughter is under. The author did a great job of showing the mind games that go on and just how easily someone can be persuaded to believe things, whether it's true or not. The ending did come as a surprise and I won't lie and say it didn't hurt my heart just a little bit! I look forward to reading more from this author in the future!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinions.

WHAT'S YOURS IS MINE is a penetrating look into the world of dance moms and one, in particular, who would do anything - anything! - to give her daughter an edge over the competition. Fast-paced and riveting, this novel has an ending that surprised even me.

What's Yours Is Mine follows Valerie and her teenage daughter Kate. Kate is a teenager being a teenager, but Valerie can't help but feel she's failed as a parent. She enrolled her daughter in a dance studio as a child, and she's grown up to be self-absorved and obsessed with the lifestyle. On top of that, Kate idolises Elise, her best friend Colette's mum. Elise is privileged and not the best role model out there. Valerie relies on her best friend Jazmin for comfort, so when Chad, Kate's father comes back to their lives, Valerie opens up to her in ways that maybe she shouldn't have. Are the other mums in the studio as bad as they seem? Will Elise do anything to make Colette a star? What happened to Chad?

This was a fantastic read! I don't have anyexposure to the dance world, so it was fun to learn all about it. I did guess the villian from the start, probably because I read a lot of thrillers, which made the ending incredibly satisfying. The last three chapters are incredible!!

Propulsive, suspenseful, and textured with dancing world atmosphere, What’s Yours Is Mine had me roped in from the first page. This story about rivalry between two teenage dancers, exacerbated by their controlling mothers, who might not be entirely aware—or are perhaps ignoring—that there is a difference between wanting the best for their daughters and pursuing their own unfulfilled ambitions, until an unexpected turn of events demands the final reckoning for all, will have you turning pages, missing bus stops, and losing sleep. I could not put it down! Highly recommend this amazing book!

This book really caught me off guard! I’m usually great at predicting twists, but the ending completely surprised me. It was unexpected in the best way—definitely worth a read!!

Really enjoyed Jennifer Jabaley’s What’s Yours is Mine. Loved the overall style and voice. The multi-character perspectives kept me engaged and guessing. A subtle menacing tone develops as the plot fleshes out and it kept me turning the pages. Great twist at the end which I did not see coming! Overall a fantastic read.

Immersing, sexy, and suspenseful. A well-written story with round and relatable characters and a gripping plot. Can't wait to see what Jabaley writes next.

I liked the book but I would like it to have the more complex words into something that new adults and people barely getting into reading could understand better
