Thank you to NetGalley and Wild Rose Press for this e-arc in exchange for my honest review.

Firstly - this formatting was incredibly odd - random numbers throughout the text (that make no sense, nor has any reason to be in the text) and weird spacing, etc. That has nothing to do with the story however and will not harm my review.

This story was very romantic and full of such care and love that I truly just found it to be beautiful. I love that Rea is this strong woman, she's a trauma surgeon and she's strong and hardworking - the way she meets Drew is not a standard meeting, but it works. I love how he's rich, a bit messy, but the way that they work together to each improve the other is really well done. It's believable and was truly written incredibly well. This book truly made me feel it all - swoony heart eyes, heartache, healing, with a dash of feet kicking from the joy!

Unfortunately this book wasn't for me. I'm not a fan of insta love and this was ridiculous. Trauma surgeon Rea with abandonment issues meets famous heart throb movie star Drew, and the pair are living together within a week. I never felt the chemistry or attraction for that level of commitment. The plot is kind of all over the place. At times I felt I was reading a medical journal with too much information that didn't serve the story. I felt like the novel didn't know what it was trying to be, serious narrative about suicide and abandonment or Hollywood romcom.

This female doctor had an unusual upbringing. Many losses in her life. A meet-cute life-saving moment occurs and her life has prospects. The characters are engaging. Interesting back story. Lovely conclusion. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy. My review is voluntary.

Regrets is a heartfelt, emotionally layered story about love, loss, and learning to trust again. Rea, a strong yet guarded trauma surgeon, and Drew, a charming yet surprisingly thoughtful actor, have incredible chemistry that feels both believable and tender. I appreciated how the book didn’t shy away from real grief and vulnerability while still giving us moments of warmth and hope. I enjoyed reading it because it made me feel everything—heartache, healing, and a few swoons along the way.

Girl. This book had me yelling “just kiss already!” and then clutching my heart five pages later. 💔💋 Rea is this badass surgeon with emotional walls made of titanium, and Drew? Literal Hollywood dreamboat with surprising depth. I was not ready for how real their connection felt—and the beach house moment? Yeah, I melted. If you love second chances, messy emotions, and a swoony romance that still makes you cry a little, this one’s for you. 🎬🏥❤️🔥
