I am a huge fan of another series written by this author, namely the one starring detective Amanda Steele. This time, the writer decided to take a different approach and created a new series starring a lady, Sandra, who is a negotiator at the FBI.

 These negotiations must of course be treated with the utmost caution because 1 wrong word can destroy everything connection you built up so carefully.with the hostage taker.

When someone decides to raise the bet and make it very personal, Sandra has to pull out all the stops to bring the matter to a successful conclusion. Above all, she should not lose sight of that ticking clock.

This sets the pace high and it is great to see how the whole team sympathizes and cooperates with her.

Not only is there a lot of tension in the story, but personal matters also cause a lot of emotions and you can feel them clearly.

After each chapter you feel like reading the next one immediately and before you know it you have read finished the book.

This book is an excellent start to a new series. 5 stars.

Great author! Awesome story about a woman who will go to the ends of the earth to protect the person she loves most!

Most mysteries are usually written from a detective or police officer's point of view but this is the first time I've read a book about a negotiator!! Won't be the last!

A favorite author…realistic characters…red herrings and secrets…mysterious and suspenseful…this is a cannot out down novel about a sister who loved her brother so much… I really like this author. I liked this book. Curl up in a comfy chair. Grab a cup of steaming herbal tea. Become lost in this story. Thanks Netfalley
