JILTED is a delicious slow-burn and I loved every single moment of it.
It had romance, humour, and just everything I have come to expect from a Vi Keeland book. Sloane and Wilder were absolute perfection and I could have continued to read their story for hours.

Its been a while since I've read a Vi Keeland book, and now upon finishing this one, I'm again thirsty for more.
Loved both of our main characters, chemistry was flaying off the pages like sparks. I really enjoyed every trope here, while I am usually not a fan of some of them, I did think Keeland plotted even the trickiest tropes into a masterful story that keep me glued to think book i devoured in a single sitting. Loved it!

This book started off so strong! Loved the meet cute and their first kiss. The humour was on point! The plot point about the feature stories for the rest of the weddings was a great set up with 27 Dresses type vibes. Wilder being a rugby player was something I liked too as rugby is severely underrepresented in sports romance books! However, the third act 'conflict' felt forced (given their age and maturity) and it wasn't my favourite trope. I also never really got attached or invested in the main characters, the FMC didn't always act her age.
This book was short and sweet, a quick read and fun addition to any reading pile.

If you're looking for a sweet, sexy and mildly spicy romantic comedy to take your mind off the world around you, this is it. As usual, Vi Keeland delivers a brilliantly funny and romantic story that you just don't want to leave.

Now let’s start with saying this book is a great romcom.

Lightheaded, has loads of tension, banter between are two main characters.

We have a great load of side characters how really add to the plot.

The book is really well written with an original story line that i personally haven’t read before.

I loved the representation of diabetes and Parkinson’s in our characters as well I feel that is a really unique touch and needs to happen more often in these type of books.

I loved the police bar touch really felt Brooklyn nine nine-y (which is a fav of mine) so that’s a bonus!

I do feel however that as a whole the book was quite mediocre, it is a nice simple read however I really disliked both of our main characters. Whether it was their personalities or just how they were written they just didn’t really click for me 😫

Thank you netgalley for giving me this ARC in exchange for an honest review ❤️

I do enjoy a slow burn book.
The two characters of Wilder, ex rugby player, and Sloane the magazine reporter meet by chance whilst she is covering a wedding he is attending. Their chemistry jumps of the page and they begin a relationship that doesn't come easy to either one of them.
Its the perfect Summer read

Sloan used to love her job working for a bridal magazine until 6 months ago when her fiance left her at the altar. When attending a new assignment she's roped into joining the wedding party to fill in for a missing bridesmaid when she meets Wilder. He's cocky, flirty and picture perfect and it leads to a night of bickering and an incident in a coat closet. But Sloans sworn off men not wanting to get heartbroken again, but Wilders not willing to give her up without a fight.

This was such a quick, cute, fun romance and I had a great time reading it. Sloan and Wilder was really great MCs. They were such a good couple their chemistry was great, the friendship they made was perfect and they way the could bond over so many similar things. This was a nice slow burn due to them both dealing with past trauma and heartbreak. Highly enjoyable and highly recommend.

i love and hate books like this. because i love them so much that i dont want them to end. or dont want to,as i know i will, forget i read them a little. that this current feeling they give me on reading them will eventually be rolled over to and exchanged for my next read. i want this kind of special feels forever!
this was a perfect book. my perfect kind of romance. it has the perfect amount of sweet and spicy moments. the characters were just perfect too. and the plot, yup you guess it...perfect.
i cannot say enough good things about this book. its one you go away wishing you had all the money and space in the world for. because you then want to buy it and treasure it on your bookshelf(with all the other thousands you also want to keep forever) in a huge beauty and the beast esque library.
this book hooks you in and surrounds you in that way us cynical humans try to refuse to believe we can fall for. but we do. perhaps its because we are indeed so squishy behind our own walls.
in this book we have Sloane who is wonderful. she is kind and vulnerable but such a boss in her own ways. she doesnt want anything to do with the man she met at the wedding. so of course hes going to be her boss's son. and of course hes going to be shadowing every single assignment she goes on to have in the season.
and Wilder doesnt want her either. doesnt he? he definitely thinks hes emotionally unavailable to everything love. and definitely to Sloane. but as the pair spend time together things become very apparent for them both. and that is that they might just be perfect for eachother. and they might just want a bit more of each other than they could have dared hope.
the flirty banter is toe curlingly brilliant. i love the dry humour types and these two i could happily be mates with.
this was a fab read. top marks. id give it more stars if i could.

What can I say?! I really enjoyed this book Vi! (Thanks for the chance to read early through NetGalley) So lovely to have a book with scenes in the UK 🇬🇧 I’ve seen your post in your facebook group (Vi’s Violet’s) about the Rugby player inspiration for Wilder, but would love to see the eyes that Sloane fell in love with 😍👀
This was a great read, funny, sweet, spicy, dual POV and pulled me in from the start. A great summer read! I would love to see this book turned into a movie!

This is a heartwarming fun slow burn.
Sloane is reluctant due to being the recently jilted and Wilder is a playboy with his own baggage, add in that he’s handsome, cocky and athletic and falls first and obviously Sloane has no hope of resisting this swoon-worthy man.
The banter between them provides some giggles and the spice provides the heat. Their third act required breakup barely registers because Ryder has fallen hard and fast and utterly sweet.
I was incredulous at the amount of back and forth between UK and the US there was for this guy and seemed a little OTT

This was so cute. I loved the romance in it and the premise.

Wilder was a dream - I mean who wouldn’t want a dreamy ex rugby player who wants to treat you like a princess. Sloane was a lovely character too and I was so happy when she finally gave Wilder a chance.

Cute romance and it will be such a nice summer read for everyone.

Jilted is exactly the kind of romcom I love—full of banter, tension, and just the right amount of emotional depth. It’s one of those romance reads that grabs you from the first page and wraps you in all the feels.

After being left at the altar, Sloane has officially sworn off love—and honestly, fair enough. But of course, in walks Wilder Hayes: charming, broody, and emotionally unavailable in the most compelling way. Their first meeting is chaotic (in the best way), and from there, the story unfolds into a romance that’s both sweet and satisfying.

What really stood out to me was how easy it was to love both main characters. Sloane is strong, vulnerable, and genuinely funny. Wilder has the perfect mix of flirty banter and emotional depth. Their chemistry was great, but it was the way they grew together that really pulled me in. It felt organic—not rushed or overly dramatic.

My only real complaint? I didn’t want it to end. I would’ve loved a bit more time with them as a couple, just soaking in that post-drama happiness. But overall, this was such a solid, heartwarming romance and exactly what I was in the mood for.

Thanks Little, Brown Book Group and NetGalley for the ARC.

The banter was just really fun! And if I love one thing it's good banter. It actually made me overlook some of the flaw like some of the scenes/ chapters abruptly cutting off.

Major love! You know it's going to be good when the book makes you smile. I have read Vi's thrillers and I equally loved her romance.

The narrative makes you smile and the witty dialogues and banter are all heart. Loved the main leads and the supporting characters who are absolutely adorable. The premise of weddings and bridezillas were a favourite. Especially the jilted bride covering weddings as a twist to it. Absolutely recommend this book that is sure to make you smile along.

Thank you to Vi Keeland, Little Brown Book Group and NetGalley for this arc!

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve read anything by Vi Keeland and I’m firmly in my romance revival era after being stuck in a fantasy black hole so when I saw Jilted up for review, I was super excited to give it a go!

Jilted follows Sloane, who after being left at the altar, has sworn off men and has given up on the idea of a forever love. So obviously in comes the man of her dreams….she just doesn’t know it yet. (And obviously he’s damaged and brooding and hides it behind smirks and flirtatious comments).

This one was just pure romance goodness, the kind of book that sucks you in from the first page and feels like a comfort tv show or film. It’s rare that I like both the FMC and the MMC in a romance book but I absolutely adored Sloane and Wilder and was rooting for them the whole time. Their relationship was cute as hell and I loved their banter throughout. I thought their relationship development was done really well without being cheesy and while I’m not usually a fan of a certain trope that happens towards the end, I didn’t totally hate it here and everything played out really well.

As with any good romance book, I didn’t want it to end and would have loved it to be a bit longer so we could see Sloane and Wilder grow even more! That being said though I really really enjoyed this one and you will not find me binge reading anything that Vi Keeland has ever read.

I knew I should read Jilted as soon as I read the blurb. Sloane, a wedding reporter still recovering from being left at the altar, crosses paths with Wilder, a charming groomsman (and her boss’s son). Their chemistry is undeniable, but Sloane’s sworn off men, and Wilder’s used to getting what he wants. Cue the slow burn, flirty banter, and forced proximity at multiple weddings.

The best part? The banter. Wilder’s cocky-but-sweet persona grew on me, especially as he softens for Sloane. Their dynamic is fun, and I loved his unexpected bond with her dad. The wedding settings kept things light and entertaining, and the diabetes/Parkinson’s rep was a nice touch.

But… it’s not perfect. Wilder’s POV sometimes felt overly alpha, and Sloane’s character lacked depth. The timeline jumps were jarring—like, wait, when did we fast-forward? And the third-act breakup was so avoidable (classic miscommunication trope).

Still, it’s a quick, enjoyable read with just enough spice and humor.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

This was a 3.25 star for me. I did enjoy it and liked the characters. But it felt a bit too formulaic for me and didn’t have a good flow to it. There were times where the timeline jumped forward all of a sudden when it didn’t feel like the previous scene had come to any kind of conclusion. It took me out of the story a fair few times where I was thinking ‘what just happened? Where and when are we now?’ It was quite strange. But it was nice enough and had some really sweet moments.

This was such an enjoyable slow burn romance! Sloane & Wilder had good chemistry and there was plenty of spice. But I felt like the chapters from Wilder's pov were misogynistic which ruined all the fun and I couldn't believe how he could change so easily for one girl. At times, he came off strong while pursuing Sloane and it was kind of cringey. Also I felt like I barely knew him or Sloane. But the epilogue was sweet and there were some cute moments between them. I liked Sloane's family as well and the health issues (diabetes and Parkinson's) were also well represented. So, this was a light-hearted read but I felt like it lacked depth. Considering, I've read and enjoyed some of the author's previous books, this one felt a bit underwhelming.
