Really enjoyed this, fun and interesting premise. It's been a bit since I have dipped into manga and this was a good one to do so. I only wish I had a better screen to read it on to see all the detail of the art. Would definitely recommend.

I enjoyed this book but I found the lore of vampires a bit confusing; are they demons? Why can they only drink from one blood pact partner? That doesn’t sound very logical but it worked for the bonding trope of the story, I guess!
Overall the story was very wholesome and sweet but I think it was a bit TOO sweet for me. I understand why others have enjoyed it though.

Let me start of with I LOVE UMENOSUKE AND PENEQUO, they literally have rolling on the floor with how cute they are. The whole setting is so fluffy and if you need something fun, with cuteness, found family and the slightest (like literally nothing but verbal implecations) of gayness this is your manga. I am so gonna order the Japanese original in my next order from Japan.
Also I miss onsen even more now and if you've never been and plan a trip to japan, try an onsen or at least get yourself some onsen bath salt if you do take longer bathes at home. (But please behave and not do weird tourist shit, clean properly beforehand, put your hair up before entering, etc.)

ok i was obsessed with the art style 😭😭😭😭 soooo pretty, i actually regret not reading earlier !!! i really like the story and my high hopes were definitely correct

A cute and cozy story blending the supernatural with slice-of-life within a bathhouse setting. With the family business at stake, humans and vampires learn to work together in order to have the ultimate luxury - the best bath possible. The storyline isn't too deep in this first volume, but it introduces the characters and basic plot well. For readers wanting a quick read, subtle romantic undertones, and cozy vibes.

It’s very cosy, I loved every moment of it~
I highly recommend, the character and the artwork was beautiful done, the more I read the more I get the urge to get it to add it to my book collection 😭

Thank you Kodansha Comics for a copy of A Vampire in the Bathhouse!
"A heartwarming and hilarious comedy manga about a hot vampire who just wants to unwind and the family who runs the bathhouse where he crashes. Escape to a world of steam and relaxation...and get the blood flowing!"
A very "no plot, just vibes" manga. Relaxing, charming, and endearing! Perfect for readers who just want to take it slow and enjoy cozier reads.

Luka, a good-looking vampire looking to unwind and relax, finds himself in a family-run bathhouse. At the bathhouse, Luka meets Sakura, the bathhouse’s eldest son, who is short-staffed and also caring for his little brother. Through little segments, we see Lujka integrate into the bathhouse life. There are silly moments of helping each other and cute scenes of them at the summer festival or sports day. Overall, this was an easy, lighthearted slice of life with a fun human-vampire mix.

The animation is beautiful and expressive, with careful character design and clever visual humor. The demon sidekick Pequeño is a standout star, and the supporting cast as a whole lends itself to the light but sincere tone of the manga. The flow progresses in each story very well, although I felt the end was a bit lackluster.
Final Verdict: A fun, cozy manga full of charm, with lovely art, lovable characters, and just enough magic. Great for a relaxed read with heart and humor.
Themes: Comedy, Supernatural, Found Family, Light Romance

I liked the art style of this manga, it's an easy read with a found family theme. It's a cozy, slice of life type of story with magical elements in it.
I loved the little side character Pequeño!
Thanks to the author and publisher for making it available on NetGalley

This was a fun and charming supernatural manga about a vampire who travels to the human world to rest and recover—only to find himself at a bathhouse. The story was lighthearted and sweet, with an enjoyable mix of humor and heart. A very fun and cozy read.

The art style is lovely and the characters are cute! The setting was interesting and the tone was light-hearted and fun. Thank you to the publisher for providing an eARC for review!

An adorable slice of life, supernatural comedy, and romance all bundled into one incredibly penned manga! An absolute must read for those who like there romance slow, and their comedy high!

Beautiful story and gorgeous art. I really loved the cuteness and silliness of the characters, the drawings depicts all emotions so well.
Funny, heartwarming, beautiful

Luka is not one to admit he’s suffering from a terrible hangover. He’s a vampire, and he’s way too powerful and regal to let alcohol get the best of him! So what’s his response? Well, a nice trip away from the demon world is in order! That’s how Luka finds himself taking a nice, rejuvenating dip at a bathhouse. His clothes may have gone missing when he was sent from the demon world to the human world, but now he needs to bond with someone so that he has more control over his vampire powers during his stay. What could possibly go wrong?
I picked this up hoping to find a cute and funny story, and that’s exactly what I got. What I didn’t expect was for it to also be a heartwarming story! We follow Luka and Sakura during their adventures during this fun story. Luka is a vampire in need of a vacation, and Sakura is the grandson of the bathhouse owner who works hard to take care of the bathhouse and his little brother. Together, hilarity ensues!
Throughout the story, we get to know the small cast of characters and what makes Sakura’s family bathhouse so amazing. We get to watch Luka discover their town’s sense of community all while growing close with Sakura and his family. I really loved the sense of found family we get in this story, but it’s also absolutely hilarious. If you’re looking for something sweet and funny, I urge you to pick this up.

A super cool time! While the premise and certain plot elements are a little out there at times, I still found this manga to be just an overall good time. The characters are incredibly charming, the setting is so immersive, and the art style is amazingly well-detailed. Highly recommend for a fun and quick read!! However, fair warning, if you’re anything like me, you will be beyond desperate to visit a bathhouse after finishing it.

This was cute! I had a good time and found myself giggling throughout. I liked the lightheartedness of the series and Pequeño was my favorite character.

This ARC was provided to me by Kodansha Comics through NetGalley.
I didn’t dislike this manga—but I wouldn’t say I loved it either. It’s creative, unique, and definitely stands out from a few of the other titles I’ve read recently. That said, I felt like it was missing a bit of the depth I tend to look for in a manga. The story throws you right in without much buildup, which can work sometimes, but here it left me feeling a little ungrounded.
What did work for me were the supporting characters—they add a fun, humorous energy that grows as the story goes on. The adult humor surrounding “the pact” gives the plot this cheeky will-they-or-won’t-they vibe that kept things entertaining.
So while it wasn’t a perfect fit for me, I wouldn’t not recommend it either. If you’re in the mood for something light, quirky, and a little offbeat, this might be worth checking out.

Thank you, NetGalley and the publisher, for providing me with an advanced e-copy for an honest review.
I love reading manga, especially BL and Shounen Ai, and I should definitely read it more often.
I loved this so much, the art was beautiful and the found-family trope was so cute! Umenosuke is my squishy baby, and his friendship with Pequeño is so adorable. As for the "romance” it was way too subtle, which I don’t mind, but I hope to see it developed more in the next volumes.
