Everything i wanted and more.

A Vampire who decides to come to Earth and take up employment in a bath house while fighting very obvious feelings for the owner's son.

I NEED the 2nd volume immediately!

First up a big big thank you for allowing me to read this book, or well giving me an opportunity.

Because sadly at 60 pages in I gave up. The art was gorgeous (seriously the details), the idea was fun, our human MC's baby brother was adorbs, the censoring was hilarious, I loved the setting. But then there is the rest. There is no tension/sparks between the vampire MC and the human MC and I would have loved to see that happen especially given the whole blood deal + sex partner bit, the pacing felt all over the place, the slice of life which normally is fun just lacked some salt and spice, there was just too much dialogue at times, I am bit done with vampires not knowing how the human world works, and my ADHD just started wandering and I know that is bad sign. So I am giving 2 stars (for the art, the cover, the idea), but any more nope.

A really fun, cute manga that does what it says on the tin! The romance isn't particularly explicit (more implied than directly shown) but it is sweet and enjoyable, I think this is more of a found family book than a romance, overall.

A Vampire in the Bathhouse is a quirky, fun little story with a surprisingly warm heart. The characters are charming, the setup is hilarious, and the whole vibe is light with just the right touch of mischief. What really stood out, though, was the art—expressive, clean, and super stylish. It brings the whole thing to life in the best way. Definitely a refreshing, entertaining read with some great visual flair.

Thank you NetGalley for a free copy!

I was excited to read this and I think I would’ve enjoyed it more if the pacing was significantly slower and the we got to spend more time to develop the characters and romance. It felt like everything happened so fast and we didn’t get to truly experience anything.

It was definitely funny at times and the world was cool, but I also feel like the transitions to Luka living in the bathhouse wasn’t explained.

This would be a fun read for anyone looking for something lighthearted, with fun classic characters and an interesting world!

A Vampire in the Bathhouse is a cute, light-hearted slice of life manga about a vampire who's so enamored with a local bathhouse, he vows to stay with the family in the human realm. Cue the shenanigans. It's a shame this is a one shot. The adventures of Luka and Sakura deserve their own series! The characters are charming and funny, especially star of the show Luka. Though you would assume having a gorgeous vampire in a bathhouse would lead to raunchy situations, the book is surprisingly lighthearted. Sure, some naughtiness is implied, but the story is more about Luka and this family coming together to create their own new, yet weird family. Overall, it was a good time. If you want a story that's funny, a tad absurd, but has a great message, then check this one out.

I really enjoyed this. It was very cute and heart warming, and the humor was great too!
The artstyle was also great, and is right up my alley when it comes to manga. I think Yomis character was a fun addition. I would love to see more of these characters.

Unfortunately this failed to hold my attention and the sense of humor didn’t work for me. I loved the art, but not the characters and storyline

Thank you to Kodansha Comics and NetGalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This manga does exactly what it says on the front cover. It's a vampire in a bathhouse.
It was very cute, the artwork is great, and I can see it appealing to readers, but I don't think I'm the target audience. It was incredibly low stakes and in this instance that didn't really work for me.

This was such a silly but incredibly fun read! Absolutely cute, light heated, and comedic read about a vampire who decides to visit the human world. Who would have thought that the Full Moon Baths would be able to captivate Luka so much that he would end up staying there! I'm so sad this is only a one-shot, because this has full potential to become a series! ♡

Not my typical style of reading, but I had a good time. A lighthearted read about a family that runs a bathhouse that gets hijacked by a vampire who becomes their friend and Ally.

Broken into six parts with a bonus chapter.

Don’t expect a romance this is much more found family situation, even if there are some hands that Luca and Sakura well eventually have to get together. Their chemistry does not really shine through in this.

Es bleibt dabei, ich habe lieber Literatur ohne Bilder, somit kann ich mich einfach nicht begeistern für Mangas

So fun! I loved the art and entire set up for this one shot.

I really enjoyed the dynamic between our vampire and his other paranormal friends.
The bath house setting was so fun.

"A Vampire in the Bathhouse" is a delightful escape into a world of warmth and humor. This sweet slice-of-life story follows a vampire who arrives from the demon realm seeking relaxation in a bathhouse, and ends up becoming a part of its welcoming community. The art style is vibrant and charming, perfectly capturing the lighthearted tone of the story.
The narrative is a delightful blend of cuteness and laughter, leaving me with a constant smile on my face. The sense of community surrounding the bathhouse is incredibly heartwarming, and Sakura's interactions with the diverse members of the community are both heartwarming and relatable. The story is filled with moments that tug at the heartstrings and evoke a sense of genuine connection.
I'm eagerly awaiting the next volume to see where this charming story takes us next!

This was such a fun and cute manga. I adored the playfulness and the laughs of it as well as the relationships between all the characters both platonic and a little more romantic. The artwork is beautiful as well and suits the genre. I adored how it’s part slice of life, part rom com and part supernatural too. It ticked all my boxes. So much so I’ve already preordered a physical copy since I know I will be re-reading.

As always thank you to Kodansha Comics for the advanced copy to review, my reviews are always honest and freely given.

A very cute slice of life with some comedic elements. I did think this would lean more towards romance, especially with the whole "pact partner" thing, but it really doesn't. It's a cute story, but it feels like it was meant to be a longer series that ended up getting compressed into a single volume. Certain story beats are completely skipped, and the ending is technically a cliffhanger. The bonus chapter resolves the ending so hastily, it was clear it was tacked on at the very last second. The art was wonderful, though, I really enjoyed it!

A hungover vampire visits a family-run bath house and makes a contract with the handsome Sakura who works there, becoming a handsome nuisance and needing Sakura's blood to keep his magic levels high. Luka isn't a traditional vampire--he's a demon who is energized by blood, unlike other demons who are energized by ice or the moon. Enjoying the easy-going life of the human world, he decides to live there with Sakura full time.

There isn't much substance to 'A Vampire in the Bathhouse'. If you're looking for a low-stakes, somewhat queer, softly paranormal manga... well, you have plenty of options, and this is one of them. I don't think there's much to make 'A Vampire in the Bathhouse' stand out from its peers. The characters are relatively tired manga tropes, the demon world isn't explored in much detail, and while there are some jokes that land, others are dependent on how funny you find naked people.

In spite of the nudity-inspired humor, it's a relatively clean manga, so I won't underestimate it as a good start for a curious-about-queer-identities teen. In fact, the usual eroticism of vampires drinking blood is neglected here, with Sakura not even exhibiting bite marks after Luka gets his fill. Luka and Sakura aren't together-together, their intimate contract and Luka's line about how if he runs completely out of energy he'll need to restore it with sex imply a lot, especially if there are future volumes. I still think 'Our Dining Table' and 'What Did You Eat Yesterday?' are stronger contenders for cozy BL, but to someone who wants something with a more fantasy twist and is a younger age, 'A Vampire in the Bathhouse' might do a better job at scratching that itch.

I actually didn't expect to like this one so much! I thought the idea was a bit too silly and some of it is, which is why I gave it four instead of five stars. It had cute romance scenes and funny bits that make you laugh. Makes for a good light-hearted read.

A cute manga one shot about a vampire that's looking for a place to re-energize and a human man who runs a bath house with his family.
It's a quirky, comedic manga with some PG queer baiting. Luka, the vampire, teases Sakura, but they never cross the line to romance.
There's a subtle message about found family and the joy of being a part of a community. I found the art style quite pleasing and enjoyed the six short stories within the volume.

Reading the title definitely sounds like it is completely random but it did grab my attention and I was glad that I was able to pick this up. With everything that has occurred within the story, it feels like I am inside the bath house myself.

The comfort that the characters bring is something that I really like. It feels domestic and heartwarming. Having a completely unexpected found family is one of my favourite things in the world. There are a lot of parts that certainly made me smile along with the cozy fantasy elements that feels like a warm hug. The art style itself is also beautiful. I can’t wait to read more of this author.
