This was cute! I had a good time and found myself giggling throughout. I liked the lightheartedness of the series and Pequeño was my favorite character.

This ARC was provided to me by Kodansha Comics through NetGalley.
I didn’t dislike this manga—but I wouldn’t say I loved it either. It’s creative, unique, and definitely stands out from a few of the other titles I’ve read recently. That said, I felt like it was missing a bit of the depth I tend to look for in a manga. The story throws you right in without much buildup, which can work sometimes, but here it left me feeling a little ungrounded.
What did work for me were the supporting characters—they add a fun, humorous energy that grows as the story goes on. The adult humor surrounding “the pact” gives the plot this cheeky will-they-or-won’t-they vibe that kept things entertaining.
So while it wasn’t a perfect fit for me, I wouldn’t not recommend it either. If you’re in the mood for something light, quirky, and a little offbeat, this might be worth checking out.

Thank you, NetGalley and the publisher, for providing me with an advanced e-copy for an honest review.
I love reading manga, especially BL and Shounen Ai, and I should definitely read it more often.
I loved this so much, the art was beautiful and the found-family trope was so cute! Umenosuke is my squishy baby, and his friendship with Pequeño is so adorable. As for the "romance” it was way too subtle, which I don’t mind, but I hope to see it developed more in the next volumes.

Thanks for the opportunity to read this book to Netgalley and the publisher. I was attracted by the drawing style, but the story didn't go in the direction I hoped for and it gave me a sense of something being missing. It's entertaining, but not too engaging. I read it a couple of times and I'm sure this is a "good book, wrong reader" kind of situation. This would be more enjoyable to readers that are first reaching out to manga and are looking for cozy fun.

One of my favourite elements of this vampiric manga is the strategically placed stream clouds covering the hunky vampires "modesty".
This was a fun, at times silly, read with the romance growing between vampire Luka and bathhouse employee Sakura. A good, light-hearted book.
The graphics were typical of manga but I particularly liked how the different textile patterns on clothing were depicted.

Luka, an exhausted and hungover Vampire ends up at Sakura’s bathhouse in the human realm. He forms a pact with Sakura, and ends up helping to run the bathhouse. But his appearance leads to other unexpected visitors appearing at the bathhouse as well. It’s lighthearted and odd, with a plot that was somewhat unexpected. As I understand, it’s a standalone, though it could have easily been the first volume of a series. Overall it was a quick and lighthearted read, though some aspects of the plot could have been further developed.
I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

Enter Sakura, the exhausted eldest son running the bathhouse while juggling staff shortages and caring for his kid brother. The last thing he needs is a picky, pampered vampire customer—but Luka isn’t so easy to shake. As the two clash, connect, and navigate their very different worlds, something warm starts bubbling between them.
This is a charming, offbeat story with slice-of-life vibes, lovable characters, and just enough supernatural flair to keep things fresh. Perfect for fans of gentle romances, found family themes, and vampires who just want to vibe and take a bath.

A Vampire in the Bathhouse is a cozy comedy slice of life manga with a dash of magic. We follow the story of Luka Edelmondt Finsternis, a Vampire who decides to transport himself to the human realm and lands inside Full Moon Baths, a traditional Japanese bath house in order to cure his fatigue and hangover. He's met with the formidable Sakura, who works at the family run bath house. And fun shenanigans ensue, there is a tiny demon familiar, and a brooding Dark Lord who turns out to be more of a softy.
Perfect for fans of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid or other cozy slice of life titles with a magical twist. Can't wait for more of this to be translated and would love to see it get an anime!

Such a cute concept and fun read!
The vampire Luka discovers a bathhouse in the human realm and is determined to enjoy and protect it no matter what! Even if that means he has to battle his own kind!
Loved the art style, our characters and it was so funny!

Very sweet story! The art was so pretty and I enjoyed the lighthearted tone. Seeing the relationships between the characters develop was so nice and there were some panels that made me laugh out loud! I felt refreshed after reading this, like I took a trip to the Full Moon Baths myself!
Thank you Kodansha and NetGalley for the ARC!

It’s not bad, but it’s SUPER light on the romance and more about the cuteness of this vampire being in the human realm and I’m eh about it.

I enjoyed this manga that was a unique story about finding your place…even if it’s not in your world! The drawing style was beautiful and the story drew me in right away!

Super adorable and cozy manga!
When vampire demon Luka shows up in a bathhouse in our world, he is enamored with the town and family who run it. And decides to stay.
This was such a joy to read. Incredibly low stakes. Great cast of characters. I would love more in this story/world and by this author.

I was initially unsure about this manga due to the was magic was replenished but quickly grew attached to the characters and the storyline. A fun unique twist to a magical world.

This was a really great read! I enjoyed the lightheartedness of the book and how it made me laugh at times. I didn't spot anything wrong with the book and I really liked it.

Luka is a vampire who is in desperate need of something new. Hes finding his day to day routine a bit drab, more so because hes a tad bit hung over. Luka decides to take a little peek into the human realm, when he spots a relaxing bath house, he is sure that this is just the thing he needs.
When Luka pops in, hes found naked in the bath house before they even open by Sakura, the oldest son. Sakura has been working in the bath house since he was a young one, now he pretty much knows how to do every bit of the job, and is teaching his younger brother. While sakuras parents are often out of the country for work, this leaves him and his much younger brother staying with their grand father at the full moon bath house.
Sakura has alot on his plate, and now he has a Vampire staying with him. Luka forms a pact with Sakura, unknowing to sakura what that fully means. Luka is learning alot about the human realm as well as his new friends.
The story between Luka and Sakura is wholesome. Its truly a slow burn romance in the works. I love how they are both growing in their own ways and bringing out the best in each other. Sakura was never confident in himself and hid behind baggy clothes and stood to the side. Luka really shows him that hes important and cared for and means alot to those around him.
The bonds they all have with each other really do make your heart smile.
Thank you NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for the Digital ARC for review.

This book was adorable. The book is all “meet cute” and never gets to that yearning point you’re waiting for. You have a vampire that needs to be healed and sees a commercial for healing bath and snap there they are. They’re not only in the bath, they insinuated themselves into the lives of the manager. Not only does our main vampire need blood. He needs a sexual partner to fully recharge. Most of that did not happen in this book. But it’s the meet cute of everything. Of the characters getting to know each other of the world building it all just works and makes you want the next book.

This manga was a very lighthearted read with beautiful illustrations. The book mainly centres around family and community and hints at romance. It is comedic and witty and features smaller stories within the book. It is a casual read to pass time. I did not pick it up too much as it didn't draw me in enough but was great to read in small bursts.

I chose to read this hilarious Manga because I watched the Anime version and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to try it. If you are looking for a funny Manga, this is a good one to try and enjoy.
Thank you to NetGalley, Kodansha Comics, and the author for the opportunity to read an early copy of this Manga.
