Action in the air - snark, sizzle, intrigue, betrayals, secrets, and maybe a bit of second chance romance! A lot of action and escapes, tense moments, and the Redemption Security crew to the rescue! Great team of characters and perfect mix of suspense and sizzle, with some light moments. A great read all around!

Whilst this wasn't my favourite book of the series it still deserves all the stars as it was well thought out and all technical terms were explained so us readers would understand.
So definite kudos to the author for that.
Whilst the action wasn't as much as other books, it was still there and will keep you guessing.
I look forward to seeing what the author comes up with next.

Fighting for Mari is another great story in the Redemption Harbor Security Series by Katie Reus. While Mari and Colin are independent pilots neither of them work exclusively for the Redemption Harbor Security Agency. However, Mari has strong ties to many of the individuals who do. This second chance, enemies (at least on Mari’s part) to friends moving quickly into more is an exciting look at the life of pilots.
As always Katie Reus gives the reader strong independent women, protective males, great support group and evil where you least expect it. A compelling read with likable characters in complex situations. Romantic suspense readers will love this book.

The latest release in the Redemption Harbor Security series and while the heroine Mari technically wasn’t an official part of the team, she’d helped them out in the past so when there a drive by shooting at her house, the Redemption crew were quick to step in and help her. Also ready to help was Colin, her brother’s best friend and Mari’s own personal nemesis. Rivals in business, she hates him with a passion for reasons he’s never quite understood ever since they were teenagers but after the attempts on her life escalate, she finds herself stranded with Colin in the wilderness. Perhaps now he’ll have a chance to get to the bottom of what her problem with him was, but only if they can evade the people hunting them.
What’s not to love about story about a couple where the tension has been building between them for years. There’s nothing quite like a healthy helping of hate to get the blood boiling in more ways than one. There was no doubting that Mari held a mean grudge and I felt a twinge of sympathy for Colin who was completely in the dark about what he was supposed to have done and when he did find out, it had all been for Mari’s protection as he’d had feeling for her and like your typical teenage boy, not realising she could overhear him, had acted without thinking things through leaving her feeling betrayed. I loved that the suspense element of their story played a major part pretty much from the start of this book as in the past the balance has leaned more heavily towards romance with the suspense almost an afterthought, but for this reader, the balance between both elements was spot on here. And with appearances from some of my favourite security team, Fighting for Mari has gone into my top five reads from this author.

Great pilots work together instead of hold grudges! Loved Colin, who had no idea why he was hated by Mari. The twists and turns kept me at the edge. Cannot wait for more!

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.
A very suspense filled book and one that will have you guessing. Mary and Colin have known each other for ages but Colin has not been on Mari’s good side lately.
Thrown together and on the run, the air is cleared and romance blossoms but will they stay alive to see where their relationship will go?

You always get a great adventure when you read one of Ms. Reus' stories. Loads of action, suspense, great characters, levity and dedication (the love kind). Mari can hold a grudge for a very long time. I'm so glad we got the answer as to why and then what Colin did to make up for it. Sitting tight or making an escape through a bathroom window, choices, choices. I loved the flying aspect of this book, learned a lot of terms and all about flying. "Always with you."

Something about Katie Reus books… I don’t wanna say too much on the characters themselves because while I think these books are perfect pallet cleansers, they can be a bit predictable. I loved the aspect of the hit man, and the forced proximity of being on the run. I do wish that the “feud” hasn’t been started in their earlier years from miscommunication. Overall I enjoyed the story and if you like thriller romance, you definitely will too.

I finished this book on April 1 and forgot to share my goodreads review with NetGalley!
I enjoyed this book so much and going to go backwards and catch up on this series. I am sorta local to Katie and hope to meet her when she goes to our local library! ( I saw she has a book signing coming up ).

*3.5 stars*
There was something missing in this story. The suspense was well-executed, but the relationship between Colin and Mari felt underdeveloped. While Mari's issues with Colin were clear, Colin's realization seemed more like a fizzle than a firecracker. The enemies-to-lovers vibe that started strong just didn't deliver in the end.

Fighting for Mari
Redemption Harbor Security Book 6
By Katie Reus
First off what a fantastic story I loved it from the beginning to the end while reading you felt like you were in the cockpit next to Mari when she flew her clients.
Mari had a crush on Colin for years but one night she overheard something and a feud started. But when she over hears one of her clients and while flying she needs to make a emergency landing both Colin and Mari are on the run from paid hit men. It's a wild ride from beginning to the end with both of them trying to fight their feelings for each other. I loved the conversations that Mari and her best friends as well as her grandmother (Halmeoni).
Thank you to Victory Editing Net Galley Co-Op and the author for allowing me to read a wonderful book.

It was fun reading about pilots. The book is filled with suspense. I loved Mari and Coin. Mari is sospunky and Colin is all alpha. The book is humorous. There’s lots of appearances by past characters in the series. There were a few surprises thrown in. I highly recommend reading this book. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

I loved this story about Mari and Colin. There was suspense, danger, and. hot steamy scenes, There was misunderstandings and the help of good friends and family. This was a great addiction to this series and I look forward to the next one. I would recommend this book. I was given an arc from Net Galley . This is my honest review.

Loved this one so much! Both Mari and Colin are such lovable and wonderful characters, it was easy to get behind them being a couple.
Something that happened in high school, and the fact that Colin is her brother’s best friend, has always prevented them from being anything more. In fact despite attraction, Mari really didn’t like Colin. But so many years have gone by now and once that air is cleared and he apologizes and it is obvious they have a very strong attraction, well you guessed it, things progress from there. He hadn’t even remembered what had happened until she told him. He has always had a crush on her.
They just need to get Mari out of danger and maybe they can try to be a couple.
Great action that keeps you a bit on edge plus the budding romance between Colin and Mari makes for such an enjoyable read!
ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Another fantastic story from Katie. Bless her heart, Mari had no chance when it comes to love and friendship. Enemies to lovers is one the best tropes and this one starts out that way but you know romance less enemies and more I cannot stand to be without you vibes. Good suspense, I never say that one, not really. I am loving all of these interconnected stories (fyi, each one reads as a standalone).

It’s a fun read, well written and entertaining. It’s full of danger and suspense trying to figure out who is after Mari and why. The hero of the story, Colin is determined to keep her safe and eventually make her part of his future. It was full of surprises and not everyone was who they appeared to be. It’s a great story and I truly enjoyed it.
I received a free copy of this book via Netgalley and are voluntarily leaving a review.

Really enjoyed this one! It's childhood friends to enemies to lovers with plenty of high stakes action to keep the reader entertained.
Mari has hated Colin ever since she overheard him saying something hurtful when they were younger. She's shunned him ever since but Colin has no clue why she despises him. However, there are also hidden feelings that both are hiding from the other too which creates a lot of tension between the two. I found Mari & Colin's relationship to be exciting and full of passion. I also liked how protective Colin became once he realized Mari was in danger.
The action here was intense and high stakes. I was glued to my kindle because I had to know what happened next.
I thought it was super cool that Mari was a pilot. A different kind of profession for an FMC, one we usually don't see so.
A fun & entertaining romantic suspense! Can be read as a standalone.

Mari is an independent woman who can hold a grudge with the best of them and one of her long-standing grudges is Colin. There was a an issue when they were younger and she was never forgiven him, even though they have a mutual attraction. Mari gets into a dangerous situation and Colin flies to her rescue.
Mari and Colin's romance moves very fast and so does the plot. Both main characters are likable and seem to compliment each other. This was an enjoyable story.

Another amazing, edge-of-your-seat read in the Redemption Harbor Security series by Katie Reus. I feel like my reviews of this author’s work sound like a broken record, but there’s no other way to say that she knows how to write romantic suspense. I believe this is Book #6 and I honestly don’t know how many other characters she’s going to bring into this engaging and intriguing series, but I’m fine with as many as she wants to write. This is Mari and Colin’s story and it has all the drama, suspense, twists and turns that we’ve all come to expect from this amazing author. It can be read as a standalone but again, I would suggest reading them all because it makes the experience more enjoyable once you know all the characters and how they relate to one another. Another 5+ star read. I’m grateful to have been given an opportunity to read an advance copy of this book through NetGalley.

Another great installment in the Redemption Harbor series from Katie Reus. The relationship between Colin and Mari was fairly low stakes. The comment that Colin made all those years ago was really quite awful. I was glad that he retracted it at the time, so it didn't go much further. But the misunderstanding was swept under the rug and they moved on quite quickly. Even the third act issue was a bit of a non issue. On the other hand the action/mystery were very interesting. I liked the survival aspect as Mari and Colin tried to evade the bad guys, bonding the two very early in the story. Overall another fun read from Katie Reus!
