A nice collection of trivia and facts for the budding young geologist – here (eventually) is stuff about how the Earth formed, and the continents, countries and geographic features and so on that are currently on it. A lot of the routine geology topics are here, too, such as flags and currencies, but when it goes into culture – books and their printing, and the nature of team sports – it does seem to have stretched the boundaries a bit to fill it out. Still, call it bonus material – it certainly fits here better than in the other books in this attractive set of five.

I saw it present data in kilometres at times, and once with mph, translating neither, but that doesn't prevent the four stars from me.

A million stars to this wonderful book.
I was excited to find this book and thanks to the publishers for allowing us to enjoy this book. It is from the "All About"series. The book is packed with exciting facts and stunning photos. It is designed for kids and is so easy to read and understand. It talks about so many subjects from all around the world, like art & literature, culture and more. We loved learning about music and dance and the about food from different cultures. It talks about climate, geography and so much more. The possibilities for learning is endless. This Is the Perfect addition to our Home school. It has everything I was looking for and more. I highly recommend to any teacher and as a great gift for any child who loves to learn about our world and its wonders. Enjoy with your little ones!

This guide covers several interesting topics about the world aimed for children.
It has a good balance of images, facts and fun.
The flowers, scientists, the weather - all very interesting.
We read some of the other books in the series with my child, and we liked some other ones a bit more.
Best for 7-9 years olds in my opinion.
