The secrets were heavy between distant friends at one point pulled together close by pregnancy. I liked this. It had the twists & turns you'd want in a thriller. Engaging and a surprising end. What a twisty tale this was! Ava and Emily, who used to be best friends, swap homes when a house near Ava had a break in. This was a great solution for Ava whose daughter was scared and didn’t want to stay home. Emily jumped at the chance to help Ava in order to try and rekindle their friendship. This was a quick read for me since I would stay up a bit too late trying to finish. The characters have tons of secrets, which are slowly revealed throughout chapters written from different character perspectives. Loved the flow of the book and the twists! Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for allowing me to read this ARC.

This was my first book by Leah Mercer, and after finishing the ARC of What’s Mine is Yours, I definitely want to read more from her.

The story is told from three POVs—Emily, Ava, and Lexi—which I really liked. I always enjoy multiple perspectives because it adds more depth to the characters and the plot, and that was definitely the case here. The beginning was a little slow, but once it picked up, I was hooked. The writing flowed really well and kept me pulled in the whole time.

The story itself was dark, twisted, and super addictive. Let me tell you, I devoured this book! I could not put it down because something always happened that kept me on edge. And that ending twist? Did not see it coming.

If you’re into psychological thrillers that mess with your head a bit, I’d totally recommend What’s Mine is Yours. I’ll be picking up more of Leah Mercer’s books for sure.

Leah Mercer, who also publishes as Talli Roland is an author I have been following since 2010 when she published her first novel. I have said this before, but her writing seems to go from strength to strength. Once again she has wowed me with her latest addictive thriller.

'What's Mine is Yours' is another gripping intense and clever thriller from this author. Ava and Emily are the protagonists and were once very close friends, but events in Ava's life meant they drifted apart. Emily is determined to win back her friendship and she stops at nothing to achieve her aim. The repercussions just don't seem to worry her even when secrets and danger come to light.

I have always enjoyed reading the work of Leah Mercer over the years and followed the development of her style with interest. Her recent psychological thrillers have all kept me riveted to the stories, so along with her earlier ones recommended for fans of the genre.

I enjoyed “What Mine Is Yours” — it’s an emotional, character-driven story that kept me turning the pages. That said, I did see the ending coming pretty early on, which made it a little less impactful for me. Still, it was a solid read and worth picking up.

This was kind of underwhelming to be honest. The beginning was a bit slow, but got better, pace wise, after a little while.
I feel like the build up for the reveal was too much for what we actually got. It was often mentioned that something unspeakable had happened, and I kept waiting for the big reveal that never really came. That was right up until the second to last chapter where we’re told what actually happened. For me, that was a bit too late. I had now spent 5 hours being a bit underwhelmed, and the twist at the end didn’t really save it for me.

I did like the twist itself though:)

Another thing I really liked was how the 11 year old, Lexi, was portrayed and how her chapters were written! She slid straight into my heart immediately🫶🏻

I don’t regret reading this and I never felt like I forced myself through this. It was quick and easy, but there are, in my opinion, better psychological thrillers out there. I’m 100% sure this book will be the right one for some people, but this was not for me.

It was really hard for me to put this book away. I pulled an all-nighter to finish reading it. The numerous plots and suspense left me, chapter by chapter I read with bated breath!

this book was fantastic. it had me questioning my own theories all the way through. i questioned if one of the characters was good and one bad or if there was more to it and would the revealing mean i changed my mind once again...yes,yes it would.
i was pulled in from the get go. before that in the blurb infact.
this book truly is the work of someone talented in this genre. i dont want to give any spoilers away but at the same time want to talk to everyone about this book and have massive gasping discussions about it!
i like how the different POV kept you on a cliffhanger almost with every chapter! so it was infuriating in all the best ways when you were just learning something and that person POV came to an end to take you to the next. so you were constantly up and down and then waiting but learning through every single page.
a brilliant book. i would recommend this to all.

Twisty Tale Packs A Lot Of Action Into Its Short-Ish Package. This is one of those sub-300 page books that is going to feel like it *has* to be longer than it is... in all the best ways. For all that happens here, you're going to be thinking this book is probably 100 or more pages longer than it actually is... and you're not even going to notice until you get to the end, look down, and question your sense of reality when you see the actual page number.

And speaking of questioning reality, this is absolutely one of those ultra twisty psychological thrillers where both the characters - and you, the reader - will be questioning all that you know (possibly even in your own "real" life) by the end.

I've read several of Mercer's books now, and this is absolutely both a solid look at her style (for new readers) and quite easily among the best she's done to date (for readers who have been around a while and already get excited when they see her name on a book). Either newbie or established fan, this one is one that will likely gain her far more fans than it loses. (Let's face it, *no* book is for everyone, and there *will* eventually be - wrong - reviews that claim this book is lacking in some aspect. Some people are idiots, and you just have to move on. ;) (And yes, I fully acknowledge that some consider *me* to be an idiot, but I also doubt those people are reading this review. :D) )

There will be at least some who don't want to read it for the simple reason of its basic premise, which largely hinges on mothers' fears, even years after the baby is born, which is respectable. As a childfree married dude, I *fully* get this, particularly given the book's release date between UK Mother's Day and US Mother's Day. For these types, I think the book is strong enough and doesn't really dive into too many problematic issues within the childfree community that I think many of us can still enjoy this book as much as I have, but again, from this angle (and similar), I absolutely get deciding that this book maybe isn't for you. Just please, I beg you - you've now been warned about this in this very review, so PLEASE don't DNF / 1* this book because of these issues. Just skip it entirely. You. Have. Been. Warned. :)

Overall truly an excellent tale superbly told, and great for when you maybe don't have as much time as you'd LIKE to read, but still don't want to read a sub-200 page book either (even though there are many at that length that are also awesome, fwiw).

I have observed that Leah Mercer's books grow increasingly darker with each release, which is truly remarkable.

This was an incredibly twisted story that kept me on edge, holding my breath and hoping no harm would come to anyone. It was meticulously plotted, fast-paced, and brimming with emotion.

I greatly appreciated how the author gave the children a voice, offering genuine insight into their feelings in contrast to their mothers'. This aspect elevated the book to the highly coveted five-star rating.

The unexpected twist at the end completely caught me off guard.

What a rollercoaster of a read! This book had me hooked from the start, constantly guessing and second-guessing where the story was headed. The suspense was palpable, and just when I thought I had figured things out, another twist would throw me off course—in the best way.
The dual (and sometimes multiple) narratives worked so well, giving us insight into different perspectives and slowly pulling together the threads of the story into one intricate, emotionally charged conclusion. The characters were well-developed and compelling, each with their own secrets and motivations that added depth to the plot.
While I did manage to predict a few plot points—which I always find satisfying—there were still plenty of surprises that genuinely caught me off guard. It kept the pace quick and the pages turning.
One important note: this book deals with some heavy themes, including child loss, so I recommend checking trigger warnings before diving in.

Quick paced easy read, told from the point of view of two friends. Hard to put down once you get stuck into it.

Two women - initially friends but drifted apart, are brought back together by tragedy and decide to house swap. One is keen - one is reluctant - but both women have secrets they have no wish for the other to discover, especially now that they have swapped residences!

Quick easy chapters with flowing first person narratives that quickly build the intensity of the drama until dark secrets linking them all are finally laid bare, out in the open. The reader is left wondering just how will these revelations impact the women and their families, and will it propel one or the other into actions with unforgiving consequences.

Loved every page as I sat highly engrossed trying to discover the secrets of Ava and Emily before they were ultimately revealed to the reader.

Leah Mercer is always a must-read for me! What's Mine is Yours is a labyrinth of twists and turns - some that will take your breath away. Well-developed characters and so many surprises!

House swap, secrets, jealousy. Another page turner with so many crazy twist. This author is must read for me. Friendships should be cherished, but sometime jealously can ruin it.

A gripping and emotional story that keeps you turning the pages until the shocking ending. A good read!

This novel had more twists and turns than a rollercoaster! Told from the point of view of two friends, just who can be trusted? I loved how the author set the scene and at times, I wasn't sure who or what to believe! It's a stonker of a novel and deserves to be read now!
