Well, unfortunately I was disappointed by this one.

This definitely had the potential with it being a workplace rivals-to-lovers situation with the new doctor, and the A&E nurse, however it did not deliver.

I’ll start with what I liked. It was an easy and fast read, and the humour was enjoyable in some parts, as was the glimpse into hospital life.

Onto things I disliked.

I thought the pacing of the story was odd, and it gave me whiplash. It was fast paced and then slow. It was not consistent.

The romance with Dr Luke was very chaste and not fleshed out. I thought it was an odd side-plot and very unnecessary. And then Tilly’s new found romance with someone else was also a disaster. There was no emotional connection between them and they never had deeper conversations that went beyond surface level topics. I did not see the chemistry between them, and it was honestly all too fast. They suddenly kissed and then were married in the epilogue.

There were far too many side-plots that distracted from the main story and romance.

Again, this is all a pacing issue and issue with prioritising certain plots.

This book was so different to any other romance book I have read. I had no idea who the love interest was going to be until about half way into the book. The book had so many twist and turns.

I really enjoyed the character development plus the side characters made me laugh so much with their banter.

The setting of this book was amazing! I loved the hospital setting and showing what it is like as a nurse in A and E. Overall would definitely recommend for a unique romance.

A wonderful read!
This novel drew me in from the very first page and kept me hooked until the end. The characters were vibrant and relatable, the writing was engaging, and the story had just the right balance of heart and humor. Highly recommend!
Many thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

This one fell a bit flat for me and I was getting lost in the plot. I believe there are people who will get enjoy this but it wasn't for me.

I'm grateful for the ARC and will keep my eye out for other books busy this author

Love Accidentally by Phoebe Macleod,it’s about nurse Tilly, and although this one wasn’t my favorite when she started getting closer to Will I really think that save the book but I’m starting to notice the author has a lot of fancifull notions in her book. It seems every character in her book goes above and beyond for the main character but having said that I still recommend this book because as I said when her and Will finally get together that really raised it from two stars to three stars at least in my book. The only issue is that doesn’t happen until 80% in so if you’re really looking for a true looney romance this may not be the book if you’re looking for a slow burn that will eventually get you there read this book.#NickGalley, #TheBlindReviewer, #MyHonestReview, #PhoebeMacleod,#LoveAccidentally,

The premise sounded very promising, I love romances set in a medical setting and a workplace romance between a nurse and a doctor in A&E sounded very exciting. And I want to say that this book was by no means bad. It’s a light and quick read but it also wasn’t great.

Sadly, it fell flat for me. In the first half of the book, we get to read about the relationship between Tilly and Dr Luke but that ends before it really starts. I understand that this adds some backstory to Tilly’s character but the whole thing could’ve been told in maybe 20 pages or as a thing that happened in her past and explains her hesitancy to open herself up for a new relationship. Instead, we spend half the book focusing on Dr Luke who just disappears in the second half.

And though Tilly finds love, I felt as If there was no depth between them. They have one or two deep but very brief conversations, as a reader you feel that there is chemistry but it’s not really well explored, in my opinion. Lastly, there are so many different side plots and quirky characters that are mentioned but not further explored, which left me a little unsatisfied.

However, just because it wasn’t my cup of tea doesn’t mean it isn’t somebody else’s. It still is a light romance with humour that also deals with heavier topics without dragging down the mood while reading.

Super cute book! I started and finished it in one day! Based on the description, focusing on Luke and Tilly I really thought I had it figured out in the beginning with their ending being a HEA. Let me just say, you will not expect the twist! I think that is why I really enjoyed this book - still a romance but also with a little plot twist.

Thank you to Phoebe MacLeod, Boldwood Books, and NetGalley for the eARC! I would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys romantic comedies!

Thank you Netgalley and Boldwood for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review. Unfortunately, Love, Accidentally just did not quite live up to my expectations. It had a strong and memorable start, but I quickly found myself lost within the various plot lines and shifting characters. The romance itself felt very rushed and inauthentic, without any real chemistry.

3 stars!

This book had a super cute premise. Set in a UK A&E (ER for us Americans 🤣) a nurse and doctor start a romance. Started out super sweet, but he raised some red flags. Come to find out, he's married and has a baby on the way with his wife and our FMC is gutted by being the other woman.

This took up the first half of the book and was unnecessary, in my opinion. The FMC does go on to find true love in the second half of the book. I adored the second half and wish that romance had been the main focus of the book. Their love story was sweet and I feel like they deserved their own story! If that had been the case, I would have rated this much higher.

Overall a cute and quick read that ends positively with an adorable couple!

I really wanted to enjoy this book as I do enjoy a good romance set in the hospital but something about it made it really hard to read and connect with. Thank you for the arc though!

I sadly DNF'd this one. I had such high hopes as I am a huge fan of Greys Anatomy but I just could not connect emotionally with the characters.
I felt the love interest fell a bit flat and there was nothing keeping me engaged. It is a shame as it did have such great potential.

Love, Accidentally
Rating: 3.5/5

This was such a cute rom-com! Once I made it through the whole Dr. Luke storyline, I flew through the rest of the book. I absolutely loved all the characters — except Luke and his family. Every other character was so adorable and funny; they really made the story shine. Honestly, I wish the Luke drama had taken up about 1/10th of the headspace it did, but overall, I really enjoyed the story and would definitely recommend it to other rom-com fans.

This was bad…

There was no romance and 50% of the book was about someone else?!

Who was Will?! He came out of nowhere and there was no romance with him or Luke.

This book had a good idea and a good premise, but the delivery was not very convincing. We got distracted with the romance that did not go anywhere, and the one that was real felt rushed and forced.

DNF at 20%

**Summary:**
Tilly, an A&E nurse, starts to question her happily single life when her flatmate finds love and her sister starts planning for another baby. Enter Luke—the new, ridiculously handsome doctor turning heads at the hospital. But as sparks begin to fly, Tilly has to ask herself: is he really what she wants, or is she looking in the wrong direction?

**Review:**
I really wanted to love this. As a nurse, I’ll always give a medical romance a shot—but this one just didn’t work for me. The writing leaned way too hard on telling instead of showing, which made it hard to connect emotionally with anything happening.

Tilly, the FMC, felt flat. She came off more like a bundle of surface-level traits than a fully fleshed-out character, and I couldn’t get a sense of who she really was beyond the occasional internal monologue about being single. I wanted more depth, more heart—something to latch onto—but it never came.

The romance felt rushed and unconvincing, and without any real chemistry or build-up, I just couldn’t buy into it. I hate DNF-ing, but I also don’t want to force my way through something that isn’t clicking. This might work better for someone looking for a very light, surface-level read, but it wasn’t for me.

This one, unfortunately, wasn't for me.

I really went into the book thinking I was going to love it, the blurb was promising, but it couldn't grab my attention the way I hoped it would. The overall story was something I usually like, but the loose side plots were very distracting from the main storyline and I missed the getting into the real love story.

I didn't like the FMC and got annoyed with her throughout the whole thing, her mother was worse though.

If you like A&E light, fast paced stories with a lot of side plots this might be the book for you.

Very much enjoyed reading about Tilly and her flatmates, family and friends.
Her search for love sends her to the new doctor but as he is caring for his mother, she hates asking for more time for them.
But should she be looking for love elsewhere?
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for this ARC in return for my honest review.

this book was very greys anatomy & definitely full of drama and turns!! unfortunately, this one just was not for me. i found the lead character to be very difficult to sympathize with, and entirely too easily swayed by the people in her life. particularly her mother telling her to stay with a married man because she needed to "lower her standards."

Will, however, was super sweet & i really liked his storyline with his dad, but it does take quite awhile to get into his relationship with tilly.

even though this book wasn't for me, i can definitely see it being for a reader who lives for the drama in their romances :)

Love, Accidentally had the setup for a sweet, engaging romance, but it didn’t quite deliver. The first half centers on Tilly’s life at the hospital and her budding connection with Dr. Luke, which initially seemed promising. But that storyline loses steam quickly, and just as it starts to feel like something might happen, the narrative shifts direction. While Tilly does find love by the end, the romance feels rushed and underdeveloped, lacking the buildup and emotional payoff I was hoping for.

The pacing overall was uneven, with too many loosely connected side plots that distracted from the central romance. The side plot with Dr. Luke, in particular, felt unnecessarily outrageous and could’ve worked better as a brief chapter from Tilly’s past rather than taking up a third of the book, especially since he just... disappears. There was also whiplash between characters and plot threads that made it hard to feel grounded in the story.

What I did enjoy was the setting; there’s a dry humor in the hospital scenes that felt authentic, and the portrayal of emergency workers coping through banter and resilience added depth. The tone is light and easy to read, but I found myself wishing for stronger emotional arcs, richer character dynamics, and a more cohesive structure.

The premise had promise, and readers who enjoy light medical fiction might still appreciate the setting. But for me, it leaned too heavily on telling rather than showing, the romance never quite came to life, and the plot felt a bit too scattered to fully connect with.

Thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC.
