I really enjoyed the first book in this series, so I was super excited for this one, and it didn't disappoint! I really like both Bella and Chase, and as with the first book, Chase isn't the bad guy you think he is! As much as I enjoyed the first book and will be keeping my eye out for more books by Amy, I like that each book in the series has a different author as each book is centred around someone different! I'm looking forward to finishing this as well as reading the rest of the series as it's the perfect summer read!

This was my first Pippa Roscoe read, and it was enjoyable! It was advertised as John Tucker Must Die meets The Hating Game, and I was sold.

I wasn't a huge fan of the third person pov, but the story was still cute.

Slow Burn
Revenge pact

Sorry for the short review, I am studying for the bar and am super busy!

I liked this book but wanted to love it. I liked the female characters and enjoyed the premise. What held me back was how slow the slow burn was. I would normally enjoy that but I didn’t feel the spark.

This is the second book in the multi-author series The Karma Club, and while it can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the other books in the series as well! This book is a humorous, romantic workplace comedy that I really enjoyed. It's about Bella and Chase, who I loved as individuals and as a couple. Bella, in particular, is a wonderfully written FMC who I loved from the beginning. Chase is also a well-written character that I loved. The friendship between Bella, Astrid, Paige, and Sienna is another reason to read the other stories!

Thank you to NetGalley, Boldwood Books and Pippa Roscoe for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Where to start with this book. From the beginning and the girls meeting ver came with Prosecco I knew I was going to love it!

Bella is a character that I didn’t quite know if I like her at the start because I wasn’t sure if she would annoy me or not. She didn’t. And I loved her! And I loved Chase too. I really wanted to not like him because of how he’s portrayed at the start - but I really did love him.

I love the dual POV too and I love that we get glimpses of the other girls and their plans. I just loved their friendships.

I love the writing, how the story plays out and by the end I just couldn’t put it down. I didn’t realise this was a series at first so I will definitely be going back and reading book 1 - but this could totally be read as a standalone read too!

To sum up - really great read, likeable characters and a wonderful art filled storyline. A brilliant read!

When four strangers meet one another by accident in an airport, café and all discover that they have been wronged by the men in their lives, they vow to help each other to get even.

Although all four women are in on the plan, this book focusses mainly on Bella’s story, as she helps Astrid to get even with Chase, an art gallery director. But as with many times in life, things are not always as they seem and the initial assumptions made aren’t always correct.

I thought this was a really well-written, fun book. I loved the immediate bond these women had and how quickly they came to rely on one another, not only for the revenge but for the support.

I like that the second book in the Karma series continues the relationship between the four new friends while drawing the reader into Bella's world as she takes revenge on Astrid's ex, Chase, who neglected to inform Astrid he wasn't single. It's an emotional story. Chase is holding onto a lot of angst about his relationships, his promise to his parents and his lack of creativity. The details about the art world and galleries lend credibility to the story, and the cast of characters Bella meets are complex and diverse. There is a gradual reveal of what motivates Chase and why he wasn't transparent with Astrid, mirrored by the emotional connection Bella and Chase make, which leads to unexpected passion. I like the setting, as well as the relationships between the staff at the gallery and the bond between Bella and her three new friends. The developing relationship between Bella and Chase is complex, marked by misunderstandings, workplace romance issues, and past involvements. I particularly enjoyed the romantic conclusion.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher.

This book was adorable! It was very well written, the plot was well thought out and I really enjoyed the characters.

While I truly enjoyed the first book in this series, I struggled reading this next book. The characters do not have a strong connection and the revenge plan often is lost or confusing to follow with Chase and Bella. I found the book lacking in a strong pace for the story to keep me reading. I would not recommend this book. In fact, I am very glad that this book can be read as a standalone.

3.75 stars. Thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the E-ARC. A little bit of revenge with alot of laughs sign me up please. This book is part of a series where 4 women decide to get a little revenge on the 4 men that did them dirty. But the kicker is that each women takes on a different man that the one that hurt them. Bella (FMC) goes to work for Chase (MMC) and to ruin his life but of course she soon finds out that maybe things aren't always what they seem. This was a fast and cute read with the fun banter.

This is the second book in the Karma club series - Four women meet by chance when they are stranded at the airport. Prosecco and cake lead to them sharing their stories of heartbreak and worst exes. Each of them sets out to avenge their friends and Bella’s target is Chase Miller, her friend Astrid’s ex.
cheater!
Bella’s strategy is pretty simple; get a job at Chase’s soon-to-be-opening New York art gallery. Make herself indispensable, all the while subtly chipping away at his reputation and sanity. She just needs to ignore the chemistry sizzling away between them.
I enjoyed watching Bella bloom in his story. She has led a very subdued, make no waves life and while working first on her revenge plan and later in undoing the effects of the revenge plan, she found herself. Chase and Bella have an heartwarming and fun romance. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

This is the 2nd book in The Karma Club series. If you have read the first book, you already know that Bella, Paige, Astrid and Sienna meet at the airport in a snow storm and shared some desserts, drinks and past relationship stories. They decided then to form the Karma club to get some type of revenge on their exs.

In this book Bella will revenge her new best friend Astrid. She moves to NY to work at a new art gallery where Chase, the charming and cheater artist, is the gallery director. She has a plan to ruin Chase's reputation and being a "silly" socialite anyone would think of her being behind that.

Every story has two sides and Chase maybe isn't as bad as they initially think... and maybe Bella and Chase are perfect for each other, or at least they have great chemistry.

I loved how Bella pranks Chase because her everyday little pranks were just evil in the long run. But in the end they made each other better and that made me love them.

How to Get Even is the second book in a new multi-author series, The Karma Club. The series is a spicy revenge romance and is perfect for fans of Olivia Goldsmith’s The First Wives Club and Sally Thorne’s The Hating Game. How to Get Even should be read after The Payback Plan for the stories to make sense.

26-year-old Bella Carmichael is stranded at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport due to a snowstorm and hangs out at Just Desserts, a sweets shop. She shares a table with three other stranded female travelers, and the ladies bond over prosecco and desserts. They share their tales of heartbreak and woe, and devise a scheme whereby each lady will seek revenge on another lady’s ex. The plan is to cause chaos in each heartbreaker’s life, not irreparable harm.

Six months ago, Bella was left at the altar by her groom, Olly Prendergast, who jilted her via text. Paige Parker is returning to England to spend Christmas with her mother. Bella arranges for her to stay with her ex-fiance, Olly, for a few weeks at his father’s place in Cornwall. Paige and Olly’s story is The Payback Plan, which must be read first.

It's decided that Bella will take revenge on Chase Miller, the married man who broke Astrid’s heart. Chase is a famous painter who is currently starting up an art gallery in New York City. Bella has been exiled in Paris for the past six months since her wealthy parents were embarrassed by her wedding fiasco. She was supposed to start work at their charitable foundation but delayed it to secure a job at the art gallery. Bella quickly becomes invaluable to the team and becomes invested in making the opening of the art gallery a success. She also realizes that Chase is not the villain that Astrid believed, and she must decide if she wants to continue the revenge plot. Additionally, Bella suspects that Paige is falling for Olly and has to deal with those emotions.

How to Get Even is an emotional enemies-to-lovers rom-com with engaging characters. While readers can predict the overall storyline, they will be engrossed by how Bella’s character changes course over the story. Refined Bella reveals her hidden cunning side and inflicts comical revenge on Chase, then changes gears and tries to redeem him. There’s suspense as readers wonder if the gallery will be able to open and will Bella’s revenge scheme get discovered. The characters are very well developed, so that the reader really roots for their happiness. The side characters at the art gallery are a very diverse group, so most readers should be able to identify with one of them. The author’s descriptions are so clear that it’s like watching a movie.

How to Get Even does contain some profanity sprinkled throughout the story and an open-door sex scene. It’s similar in spice level to Sally Thorne’s The Hating Game. I’m now anxious to read Astrid’s story, which is The Puck Stops Here by Rachael Stewart. I really hope that this Karma Club series can be made into a movie or TV series.

I received an Advance Review Copy (ARC) from NetGalley and Boldwood Books for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Book two in this series and I loved it, four young woman meet at a Chicago airport when there is a snow storm over champagne and cake they become best friends and plan a revenge plot against the four men who have hurt them, Paige was book one now we have Bella who is out to get revenge on Astrid’s ex, Artist Chase Miller, let the fun begin.

Bella Carmichael is a socialite who had her world turned upside down when her fiancé jilted her at the alter by text message, now she is going to get back at her new friend Astrid’s ex and she has just landed a job at the art gallery that Chase is director of in New York as Communications director, she has a few things up her sleeve, work hard, upset his daily routine and put the wheels in motion to tarnish his reputation and sanity, the only thing is that he sets her heart aflutter and the more she gets to know him the more it flutters.

Chase has been through a lot in his life and Bella is seeing that now and now understands a little more of what went on in his and Astrid’s relationship, has she done the right thing? And can she set the wheels in motion to repair what she has done without losing her heart totally to Chase?

I loved this one so much I loved Bella and Chase and the wonderful characters that work at the gallery, it is moving, emotional, fun and it is one that I highly recommend, it was a joy to read, it is a lovely romance that left me smiling and eager to read the next one in the series.

My thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for my copy to read and review.

A spicy, slow-burn workplace romcom packed with sass, sabotage, and unexpected sparks. When jilted socialite Bella joins forces with three strangers to form The Karma Club, her mission is revenge—not romance. But her plan to infiltrate and sabotage bad boy artist Chase Miller’s new gallery gets complicated fast when fiery banter turns into undeniable chemistry. As lines blur and secrets surface, Bella must choose between payback and a shot at something real.

This is book two in The Karma Club series, 4 interconnected books from 4 different authors (I'm a big fan of this). I really enjoyed book one and How to Get Even (Bella's story) was a great continuation of the collection. Now yes there is a certain bit of predictability in the sense that the 4 women set out for revenge but we know they'll inevitably fall for the enemy but that's what makes this series so much fun.

I loved Bella, she's ruthless, petty & hellbent on bringing Chase down but she also had a beautiful journey growing in confidence and coming into herself.

The connection between the 4 ladies stays strong in book 2 and the writing flows beautifully, the different authors linking the stories perfectly. A great read, I can't wait for book 3.

If you read (and loved) the Payback Plan by Amy Andrews, I'm sure you've been waiting for the next story of sweet revenge and the best laid payback plans that...tend to backfire.
Four women get stranded at O'Hare airport during a snowstorm and out of their shared break-up stories the Karma Club is born. This time it's Bella's turn to mastermind and execute the four friends' revenge on Chase, Astrid's ex.
Our perfect Bella gets a job of a communications director in Chase's soon-to be-opened art gallery and gets down to work on her plan of bringing Chase down. I'm a big fan of the enemies-to-lovers trope with its inherent tension, especially when it is as engaging and well-written as in Pippa Roscoe's How to get even. The slow-burn allowed us to fall in love with Bella and see how much she changes and matures through the book. Chase isn't the most likeable character at the beginning (If he was, would he have ended up as a target of the Karma Club?), but not everything is as it seems and slowly, but surely our story transforms into something much more emotional and heartwarming.
I really enjoyed the way Pippa Roscoe took me on this rollercoaster of jokes, sweet moments and hot, spicy scenes and will be looking forward to reading more books from this author.
Now I can't wait to find out what is going to happen in Astrid's story (The Puck Stops Here by Rachael Stewart, out on June 17, 2025).

It's hard not to compare this book to the first in the series, they're different main characters and written by a different author, but because they are so closely connected It's hard not to.. unfortunately this one just didn't grip me as much as book 1. 25% into this one and it felt like absolutely nothing had happened and for a "revenge plot" nothing revengeful really happened until around the 35/40% mark except for some salt instead of sugar in the MMC'S coffee - this book was more about the art gallery and the FMC setting it up than the "Karma club". I did enjoy the second part of the book more, but unfortunately it just didn't give me the same feels as book 1. I'd probably give this around a 3.5 stars

I love these girls, the authors involved in this group of standalones are amazing. This book is the second one in the set that I have read and the drama is top level. This has been written in such a way that you are able to binge them so easily, it is an ideal summer read. I can not wait to get to the other books in the collection and also read more from this author.
