not really necessary if you've recently read the series but a good refresher if it's been a while. I might use it when reading the last book if I find myself wondering who's who

I love all of the books by Jennifer and am working my way through all of the series between reading review books and books for enjoyment. This book is exactly what it says a companion book and will work really well to have alongside when reading the series or rereading her series to back up what is in the books. It is well written and I love the addition of the artwork.

A well thought out and great addition to Jennifer's work - though I cannot rate it as I would normally when it comes to pacing and story lines I feel it is a solid 4 stars and and something any fan needs.

Was it needed? Not really.

I still read it, I still enjoyed it but I also spoiled some of the Flesh and Fire books for myself (whoops).

I have since then read them, so no worries and just need the rest of the books please and thank you.

This book is Amazing! I love this series and this author! This book is a good fun read for a fan! I really enjoyed it!

Visions of Flesh and Blood is such a fun deep-dive into the Blood and Ash / Flesh and Fire world. Told through Miss Willa’s cheeky POV (yes, that Miss Willa), it’s packed with lore, character details, beautiful artwork, and even some bonus scenes. Some bits felt a little repetitive, but overall, it was such a treat for fans of the series. Definitely worth picking up if you want more behind-the-scenes magic and spicy extras! Solid 4 stars from me.

This book was alright. I wanted to read it all but it was pretty redundant to the whole series (which I’m also getting burnt out on), and didn't add much new to the story lines. But I really enjoyed Miss Willa’s parts, I could have read a whole book of her journal.

This was exactly what I needed to refresh myself on the series as it's been a while since I read it. It was short and sweet and straight to the point. I adored that it was told from Miss Willa's perspective, who is one of my favourite side characters.
I think this is a great addition to the series for people who need a refresher.

Let's say this, it is always a pleasure for me to read about the From Blood and Ash world, because it was one of my first romantasy ever, and my first english (written) reading, so, it is absolutely my cup of tea and my comfort place. Anyway, I need to be realist and this book, this "compendium" it is not a real necessity book, but let me explain - it's okay if you forgot something and you need to clean your mind about it, just this.

A great addition to this universe. This compendium allows you to deepen your knowledge from the POV of Miss Willa (icon). Please note this is more of a reference/guide book when you go to read it.

This is a great reference! It is perfect for those that are new to this world and need something to reference while reading all the new names and locations and need more definition. Also perfect for those like me who have put down the series and needed a refresher on all names and places before I get back into the later books. I’d definitely purchase this to have on the side while I read the series through.

This book is a great example of a publishing company trying to release something while we are waiting on an actual book. This is essentially a recap of the past books which could be helpful if you didn't want to do a reread. One of the problems is Willa being creepy and watching people have sex. No thanks
Overall id say this doesn't need to exist.

As someone who read most of this series years ago, this book is super helpful as I anticipate the next installment in the series. I've struggled with remembering the complex dynamics between and past and present in this series so I think this was a neat way to remind myself of everything in a fresh way since I don't plan on rereading the entirety of the series before June. Also, the pictures included were so neat and fun.

Blood and Ash & Flesh and Fire have been on my tbr for ages, but I haven’t had the time to read them yet so this compendium worked as a nice introduction to both series.

This book recaps what happened to different characters in both series. If you don’t want to see any spoilers, I would recommend reading this only after reading the previous books. I haven’t read the previous books so I can’t say how much new information this book provides, other than some exclusive scenes. As someone who hasn’t read the series yet I found this book to be informative and interesting with introductions to characters, information about bloodlines, creatures, etc. And there was also some beautiful (character) art sprinkled around the book.

Miss Willa is one of my favorite side characters mentioned throughout the books. Her salacious musings and conquests are scattered throughout the series and with how long she’s been around, it makes sense that she’d also be a historical steward of sorts!

I loved how this compendium is organized to give the reader added depth and insights into these series—including exclusive scenes!

Visions of Flesh and Blood is a perfect interactive guide and encyclopedia encompassing the beloved world of Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire!

"Visions of Flesh and Blood" by Jennifer L. Armentrout may appeal to readers of paranormal romance, but it leaves much to be desired for those looking for a deeper, more compelling story. Because this is a companion guide. I personally didn't find this useful. The series can be confusing but I was so bored by this and ended up skimming this. If you're a fan of the series, you'll love it. But it was not far me.
