I have finished it the other night. I thought it was super cute! I didn't expect it to be exactly like an episode or anything and I think that kept me from judging it.

It was just the right blend of mystery to keep me engaged and cozy that I could read before bed.

Overall I really enjoyed it and I will definitely follow up for other books..

-I liked how the interview with the author gave insight into her inspiration, previous relationship with the Golden Girls, and writing process.
-The discussion questions were open-ended and thought provoking,
-The bookmarks had cute Golden Girls images and were thematically appropriate.
-The food and drink were thoughtful and helpful for book club party planning purposes.
-The minute mysteries and which Golden Girl are you quiz were cute and great for previous Golden Girl fans.

This kit is a cute and fun addition to the book. It provides some insightful questions for the group to ponder and discuss I love that there are recipes included to enjoy with your book friends. I also love that there are recommendations for books from other authors as well as more from Rachel Ekstrom Courage. This was such a great read. I can’t put my finger on it but it reminded me of a show I used to watch h years ago.
It was mysterious, suspenseful and down right exceptional .

Okay, I have to admit… this is definitely one of my favorite kits.
I love that vintage vibe with a perfect mix of bloody and sweet.
The recipes? I have to try them ASAP!

Golden Girls meets HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER... I truly enjoyed this read, and had to force my non-reader bestie who's a HUGE Golden Girl fan to read this, and it made for a GREAT BUDDY Read and fun to annotate.

This is an awesome kit with a guide on how to create a book club around the novel, Murder by Cheesecake, by Rachel Ekstrom Courage. I've been excited to add this to my suspense/thriller adult book club unit, but I didn't know how until now. I think this is a great guide in what this book has to offer, and how to adapt it to different readers. I especially loved the bookmarks in this kit.
However, I wish there was one side decorated and one side blank on the bookmarks, so that students could use the bookmark to jot down notes while reading. Or better yet, I wish this came with a journal that students could use specifically for this novel while reading. I will definitely be using this in my classroom!

This has a day full of activities that will keep any murder mystery or Golden Girls fan happy and entertained. Filled with activities and recipes that will help set the stage for a fun day of murder, mystery, mayhem and friendship! I love the idea that there are easily printed custom bookmarks. Personally this is a favorite of mine because I can keep notes on the back as a reminders for my book club discussion as quick page references, and if you don't like that and have a small reading group this could be a cute Yearbook Booster Page style memmo where each member leaves a special note to the owner. Have your own copy, a wonderful reminder of a great day, read digitally or from a library, then you still have a cool momento!

Well designed and thought out with activities to make a great girls night or even an overnight retreat! Add some classic episodes and a dress up as you favorite Golden Girl and the weekend just got a little more fun!

This is such a resourceful and fun book club kit. I love that there are thoughtful questions for discussion. a quiz to see what Golden Girl you are, other recommendations, drinks and cheesecake recipes, and bookmarks. It's such a neat idea for people who are just starting to do book clubs and need some help.

I think the book is cute and cozy for sure. I do with the mystery aspect was just a tad bit more thriller-esq. I truly felt like the author wrote the characters so well to our beloved Golden Girls personalities that I felt like I was reading an episode of the show. If you’re looking for something light hearted and familiar, then this is for you.

I was already excited to read the book Murder by Cheesecake because I am a huge Golden Girls fan, and this book club kit has me even more excited. The recipes sounds delicious and the bookmarks are adorable. I cannot wait to make the St. Olaf’s Kiss Cheesecake and print off some of the bookmarks to use while I read this book.

A nice little companion to the 'Murder by Cheesecake' book for your Book Club!

The questions were helpful in getting the book club talking, seeing everyone's results in the quiz was a great time, and we even tried the cheesecake recipe (There was some user error as I'm not the best in the kitchen, but it turned out good I think)!

It was a morning meet up, but I'll definitely be saving the drink recipes to try at a later date.
