I actually devoured this book. Best suspense I've read in quite some time. Andrew and Kristine have both been through a lot, both together and apart, but they make a great team in more ways than one. Only negative is there must have been a previous story in the series because there are a ton of people to keep track of with obvious story histories. Highly recommended.

All I have to say is I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!! I never read the descriptions on book and just grab them on the cover and did the same with this book. From early on in the book I swear I had it figured out but the author did have me second guessing all the way through. I love this series and this group of friends and this book did not disappoint at all. I loved Kristine and my heart truly broke for her with some of the things she faced but she was a fighter and had the biggest heart and was always going above and beyond for those close to her. Andrew faced a few things that seems to break his spirit but he just kept going and doing the best for his friends, family and his country. He was also an amazing character to read about. I truly feel like I am catching up with friends when I read this series they are an amazing group of friends and I truly can't wait for more from them. Just be prepared to read this is one sitting because you will not want to put it down.

Air Marshal Kristine Duncan and her friends are headed off to a resort for ten glorious days, but shortly after takeoff, a man tries to divert the plane. The man’s plan has no chance to survive as Kristine’s friends are all involved in law enforcement. This brings back memories of her mother, a stewardess, who was on a plan that was hijacked and went down. Returning home, she is met by her controlling father who demands that she give up her job. Voluntarily assisting in the investigation of the attempted hijacking, she is working with FBI Special Agent Andrew Ross. There is something simmering between them, but finding the man who paid for the hijacker is their primary concern. When it might involve the Serpentine Network, he contacts his good friend who is still undercover with the group. Danger begins to follow them and as his worry for his friend’s safety begins to blend into their investigation, their entire friends become involved in the investigation. Dealing with attempts on their lives, shots fired, an attempted kidnapping, his cousin who is trying to avoid prison and the long-ago case that still haunts him, will they be able to keep his friend safe and finally learn who was behind the hijacking of the plane…and maybe so much more? An absolute action packed, thrill a minute romantic suspense by one of the best! I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)

Final Approach by Lynette Eason
Book 4 in the Lake City Heroes Series
This book starts off with a BIG suspense aspect! LOTS of action, feels like a movie or tv show. We see Air Marshal Kristine on a flight to Florida with her law enforcement friends & FBI Special Agent Andrew. A hijacker all of a sudden tries to take control of the plane in a whirlwind of suspense. People get hurt but they make it out alive....unfortunately, this investigation is more than just trying to understand why this man randomly hijacks the place. Andrew and Kristine work together to figure out how this all ties in with some past circumstances and as usual, a slow burn romance ensues.
I have enjoyed my time in this series by Lynette. I think they are best read all around the same time since all the characters are friend groups and make cameos in other books. My brain likes to forget names so easily haha.
I really liked the suspense and friend group. The ending was wild, I did NOT guess it, as always! It was a sad situation what our character went through, so much trauma. Enjoyed the faith elements and if you like Christian Romantic Suspense, this series will be up your alley.
My favorite of this series has to still be book 1, Double Take. While I ultimately don't have a ton to say, I would recommend.
Content: parental death, mentions but not extremely detailed of violence like cut throats, blood, suicide, terrorism, deaths, obviously plane hijacking, and standard gunfire/shooters etc. grief, guilt, parental abuse, drugs, toxic parent.
Thank you to Revell for providing a complimentary copy to honestly read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

There’s a reason Ms. Eason has become (in my opinion) one of the best known and enjoyed authors of Romantic Suspense in Christian Fiction and this book reminds readers of why that is. It is the action-packed, suspense driven, delightful romance that we’ve come to love and expect from this author. Though this book is the finale to the series, you technically don’t have to read them in order. But the previous ones were just as good, so why would you want to skip them?
I actually read this book so quickly that I had to go back and reread sections of it before writing my review, because I kept thinking “wait, was that in this book?” It was so edge-of-my-seat suspenseful that I saw midnight more than once while reading after the little ones were in bed! I loved getting to know Kristine and Andrew and how naturally their romance developed amid everything happening and all of the questions needing answered. There were also several red herrings planted that made me question my conclusions, though I did end up being right about part of the mystery! I so enjoy how Ms. Eason both keeps me guessing, but also leaves just enough clues that I’m not completely frustrated when the answers come to light.
I do have to say that I found the final unveiling of the villain and their plan overly complicated and a little unrealistic. I had guessed the villain and figured out a little of the plot, but when everything was explained, it just seemed a bit much. But maybe it was supposed to be that way, to drive home the extremity of their obvious derangement? If that was the intention, then it was spot on!
Overall, I really enjoyed this story and getting to see these characters finally get their story! I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys suspenseful stories that keep you rushing to turn the next page!
*My thanks to the author and publisher for my advanced copy of this book! I was not required to write a positive review and have not been compensated for it in any way. All opinions expressed are my own.

This is book#4 in the Lake City Heroes series but can be read as a standalone book.
From a plane hijacking, a gang, mounting danger, lots of twists and turns all lead to a heart pounding suspense suspense that as you turning pages so you can find out what happens next.
This is the first book that I have read by Lynnette but it definitely won't be my last.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author and NetGalley. The review expressed here is my honest opinion.

Lynette Eason keeps doing it again and again, upping the ante on Christian Suspense and taking it to new heights! Ms. Eason‘s latest release, Final Approach is the fourth book in Ms. Eason’s Lake City Heroes series and tells the story of Kristine, a U.S. Air Marshal and Andrew, an FBI agent. Final Approach open ups with Kristine, Andrew, and their friends on a plane headed for a much deserved and needed vacation, only to have the plane hijacked shortly after takeoff, putting the vacation on hold and each of the Friends respective Law Enforcement experiences to use to solve the hijacking case. No one was more disappointed than Andrew and Kristine because they were looking forward to the trip to get to know each other better to see if their friendship could be something more. After returning back to land, Kristine and her Friends grapple with why the hijacking took place because it’s not your stereotypical hijacking. As they unravel various scenarios, Kristine and her Friends come to the conclusion that there could be multiple reasons associated with the Group as to why the hijack happened in the first place, causing some of the scenarios to hit closer to home than others. As Kristine, Andrew and the others start investigating the case, real life begins to get in the way. Kristine comes face-to-face with family issues and hitting the problems head on, in a Godly manner–especially when it comes to Kristine’s controlling and overbearing Father. Andrew, fearful that the hijacking and the crimes that followed them afterwards may have something to do with his undercover days that he tries to keep buried and hidden, does his best to follow the clues without speaking too much about what transpired during his undercover days. As Kristine and Andrew unravel the clues one by one, they come to a haunting conclusion with an unexpected answer.
I absolutely loved Final Approach! I have read many books by Lynette Eason and I am constantly amazed with Ms. Eason’s consistency to create highly unique Suspenseful reads that Glorifies God and assists others in knowing about Him. I love how Ms. Eason weaves Faith into the plot and into the lives of the Main Characters. I loved meeting Kristine and her Friends. I love how Kristine approached her relationships with others from a Godly perspective, noticing their faults but still showing them Jesus without being pushed over by them. I also love the Goldy man that Andrew was. I love the stance that Ms. Eason took with doing romantic relationships God’s way. I also love how Ms. Eason showed how one can honor their parents the way God intended and still have healthy boundaries. Final Approach put me on a high-flying escape where I honestly did not know story would go. (Hijacking a plane is not your usual opening to a book, but I found it very intriguing from the get go!) Final Approach gave me an escape I needed and gave me lessons about God that I needed to be reminded me of. I have yet to find a book of Lynette Eason’s that I would not recommend to others and I can say the same of Final Approach! Final Approach by Lynette Eason is an suspenseful high-flying escape that shows finger prints of Jesus all along the way! I highly recommend it!

Final Approach by Lynette Eason is a breathless, high-stakes close to the Lake City Heroes series. It opens midair in a storm of chaos … a hijacked flight, an air marshal off duty, and an FBI agent whose instincts refuse to rest. Kristine Duncan and Andrew Ross pull you into a web of danger, deception, and courage. This isn’t just action for action’s sake — it’s a reminder of the constant presence of God in every crisis. I loved how their faith came through in automatic, unshakable prayer, no matter how tense the moment.
Two lines stayed with me long after turning the last page: “God could do miracles” and “I figure that might be God trying to get my attention.” Eason weaves those truths into a story where trust in Him changes how the characters fight, decide, and love.
Perfect for readers who enjoy romantic suspense with authentic faith threads, layered investigations, and characters who grow under pressure. A strong conclusion that leaves you grateful for every step of the journey.
I received a digital version of this book from JustRead Publicity Tours, LLC, the publisher, and NetGalley. I am not required to write a positive review nor paid to do so. This is my honest and unbiased review. My thoughts and opinions expressed in this book review are my own. My review focuses on writing and story’s content, ensuring transparency and reliability.

This book starts off making you think that Air Marshal Kristine Duncan and her friends are going to get a little reprieve from the stress of their jobs, but unfortunately they encounter a hijacking and that thrusts them into quite the investigation and trying to figure out what's happening, who is behind it all and how they can protect those involved.
Talk about fast-paced action and non-stop go! I love trying to figure out the final mystery from the clues that start to appear. And I didn't guess the whodunnit until it was too late! Wowsers! I totally should have seen it though! But one thing I've learned from Lynette Eason is that she is great at using the unexpected in her stories! They keep me coming back for more and more or her books and stories! Love them!!!
And as always, she has a great love story that builds throughout the book. I love that I can count on this author to write clean romance and clean suspense, but still keep me hooked and coming back for more!!!
Content: Clean. Some mild peril, kisses only.
I received a copy from the publisher, Revell, via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.
Happy Reading!!!

Wow, wow, wow, did I love this book! Action packed and exciting all the way through, it was hard to put down. Final Approach is the fourth book in Lynette Eason's Lake City Heroes series. It can be read standalone. This book is about Kristine, an air marshal, and Andrew, a FBI agent. The characters were really well written and people you would actually want to root for. Their romance and the dynamic between them was well done. It was also nice to catch up with the characters from the previous novels in the series. The star of the show though wasn't the characters and their relationships, it was the action and suspense. Just the way I like my suspense novels. It was so action-packed and has so many twists and turns that it was very difficult to put down. It was very easy to put myself into the characters shoes and feel like I was truly a part of the story.

The whole team is back together, but . . . Are they safe? Scrambling to stay alive and safe while struggling to try and figure out who is the target! Andrew and Kristine need all the help they can get to stay one step in front of the mastermind behind the highjacking. Will they unravel this complicated puzzle in time? Be prepared for unexpected twists and turns that will keep you spinning until the end. Brilliantly written Lynette Eason!

Rating 4.5
Wow, this one was action packed and suspenseful with a lof of unexpected twists and turns.
With a bad guy where you only see narcissistic character as the story is revealed, as a reader you feel empathy for the characters and disbelief right along with them as the main characters had to survive attacks and truth revelations.
I enjoyed that all the characters of the series played roles in the story and that the two main characters have a past friendship due to the big group of friends but that there is a clear chemistry connection they would like to explore but events kept them from delaying this connection.
Sad to see the series end.

This story grabs you from the first page and doesn't let you go until the end. I love books where you want to keep reading and know what happens next. I loved that this story did that. I also loved that we got to see characters from the previous books and what was happening with them. I loved the romance between Kristine and Andrew. I loved their teamwork and how they fell in love through solving the mystery. Great book and great series.
I received a complimentary book from publishers, publicists, and or authors. A review was not required and all opinions and ideas expressed are my own.

While Final Approach is the fourth book in Lynette Eason's Lake City Heroes series, one can jump right into it without feeling that they've missed something. This story focuses on Air Marshal Kristine Duncan and FBI Special Agent Andrew Ross. Both bring emotional baggage along that makes them hesitant to enter into a relationship beyond friendship, but it may be the physical dangers they know about and the ones they are unaware of that have the greatest impact on their relationship. Hijackers, kidnappers, shooters, and more rev up the excitement and tension in this romantic suspense story written in Eason's highly engaging style. The theme of coping with difficult familial relationships is well integrated into the suspenseful plot, and shows empathy for those who struggle with these situations, and encouragement for those who seek to extend grace.
I highly recommend this book, series, and author. I am grateful to have received a complimentary copy of Final Approach from Revell via NetGalley without obligation. All opinions expressed here are my own.

Final Approach is a phenomenal read and a strong conclusion to Lynette Eason’s exciting series. Although it's the third book, it reads beautifully as a standalone—though fans of the series will appreciate the deeper connections between characters.
Kristine, an air marshal with a complicated family dynamic, makes for a strong and relatable heroine. Andrew, an FBI agent recovering from his time undercover, was a standout character for me. His depth, loyalty, and quiet strength really added heart to the story. I also loved the introduction of Hank, another undercover agent—his mysterious presence left me hoping he gets his own book!
One of my favorite aspects of the series has been the tight-knit friend group. Their unwavering support and rich backstories add warmth and authenticity to the intense suspense. Eason does an excellent job balancing action, emotional depth, and relationship dynamics.
Without giving anything away, I’ll just say this: the twists kept me guessing. Eason masterfully layers the plot with clues, red herrings, and emotional reveals. There was never a dull moment, and I was fully engaged trying to piece everything together.
If you enjoy romantic suspense with strong characters, unexpected turns, and deep friendships, Final Approach is a must-read!

From the first moments of high stakes in the air, Lynette Eason’s Final Approach grabs hold and won’t let go until the final showdown!
“I hope when all of this over, we can have our vacation at the beach. I have a feeling we’re all going to need it.”
Eason puts the characters in this friend group through the wringer in this series, and they really all do deserve that beach vacation!
| loved getting to know Kristine and Andrew, as well as being reunited with their friends as they work to figure out the most complicated hijacking in the history of hijackings where nothing is as it seems.
“He had no more strength to fight the darkness sweeping over him. He decided to go with it, secure in the knowledge that his friends wouldn't let him die.”
Combined with dangers from Andrew's undercover past, it's a wonder we get our happy ever after! And the romance *sigh* was just so sweet.
"His touch just did something to her insides. It drew her to him like an almost inaudible whisper in the dark."
There's a reason why time and time again if I'm looking for the best romantic suspense I reach for a Lynette Eason book. They just keep getting better and better!
I received a complementary copy of this book from the author and publisher. I was not asked to leave a positive review and my opinions are my own.

Series: Lake City Heroes
Rated: 4
Back of the Book: “She's intent on investigating a sinister plot of revenge, and it will take all her courage to survive.
Air Marshal Kristine Duncan is not on duty when a hijacker attempts to seize control of the plane she and her friends are on as they head out on a much-needed vacation. Jumping into action and aided by FBI Special Agent Andrew Ross, Kristine thwarts the attack and the plane lands safely. But as the investigation into the incident gets underway, Kristine and Andrew are confused at every step. Nothing about the investigation goes as it should, and each layer they peel back just reveals another layer of perplexity.
As the two work together to navigate a web of deception, blame, and personal reckoning, they find there's more to this story than meets the eye--and more to love and admire about each other. They'll have to put their skills to the test--and their hearts on the line--to unravel the truth and ensure that justice prevails.”
Impressions: This book is part of a series, but I enjoyed it as a standalone novel. I think the supporting characters' backgrounds would have been relevant to build depth to their histories; however, the focus was on Kristine and Andrew. The mystery and suspense were interesting as they built up to what was causing all the chaos. The romance was sweet and subtle. The characters have feelings for each other, and the intense situations they navigate together only draw them closer. Kristine and Andrew both faced physical and mental attacks in quick succession, leaving them little time to reflect or come to terms with all that they were experiencing. Although the story was exciting, questions always pop up while I am reading about the practicality and realistic probability of scenarios that I am reading about. This book kept my brain occupied with what was happening next, so that I was not concerned about such pop-up questions.
Quotes: … “(Praying) ‘You know Corey and you know this isn’t a good idea.’ He grimaced. He probably shouldn’t be telling God what was and wasn’t a good idea. ‘I’m sorry, LORD, I’m just worried about this whole thing and need you to give me wisdom in how to deal with it.’” – I related to Andrew’s prayer. It is easy to pray as if dictating to God what needs to happen to resolve an issue. I catch myself doing this and realize how arrogant I sound. I appreciate Andrew’s catch and how he acknowledges his folly and humbly asks for wisdom.
Thank you, NetGalley and publisher, for the opportunity to review this book!
