I’m disappointed that some writers now think that adding a pet into a story is a must. And other descriptions of this book as page turning and heart-warming, I think not. It is an alright story but no great mystery and nothing to keep you wondering what is going to happen or actually care.

This is a cozy crime mystery with a very wise dog! I enjoyed reading this book, although one particular character I found annoying with her comments. It's a very light-hearted, surface level of emotions story. Which meant I whizzed through the book.

this was a cozy mystery and i thoroughly enjoyed it. it reminded me of all the old style mysteries ive loved before so it was so nice to have a possible new one to follow. it was clever and intriguing and had those lighter witty moments that sew it all together. i think these books are so well written. because it must be hard to get the balance right and Leigh certainly managed it.
oh and there is a dog so youve won already right there.
