This is the second book from the Annals of Dorohin. I loved the first one and whilst this was written in the same excellent style, it was the subject that let it down. The book focused on Yui, who is caught up in a developing war and this was where it felt apart. There was an awful lot of focus on the fighting and preparation for the war to the exclusion other aspects of a story. After more than half the book I found myself skipping pages in the hope that I would get more plot other than more fighting.
This book may we'll appeal to this who like war stories rather than someone who prefers fantasy and is looking for a more balanced story.

This book was full of action -- I loved seeing more of this world! I cannot wait to see what else the author comes up with!

This story was just as amazing a d the previous book. The author had done it again and the world building was amazing. It was fast paced and action packed and it was amazing to see how it all was beforehand.

If you lovedthe Wyvern‘s Plague you will surely love this one1

Kin of the Pure Blood by A.K. Bryce is such a good story. I read this book in 12 hours because I really couldn't put it down for a second. Omg so so good.
