This is an exhilarating thriller that keeps readers hooked from the first page the suspense builds so well. With fast-paced action and well-developed characters, this book is a must-read for thriller enthusiasts.

Sam is keeping a low profile scared that her past will be discovered but she goes to a book signing and is catapulted into romance that seems beyond her wildest dreams but is it what it seems? Slow in places where Sam argues with her conscience whether she should come clean the story is otherwise well constructed. The character of Lalita is also well-portrayed, an illegal immigrant working as a maid she keeps her head down but watches everything that is going on.

A brilliantly twisty tale! When one of the richest men in the world chooses an ordinary girl to be his wife, the world is stunned. But at the wedding venue in an exclusive Cornish resort, the bride-to-be starts to receive notes and warnings about the man she is due to marry.
Told across two timelines, the present and from when the couple initially met until a crime is committed, Renita D'Silva cleverly combines police interviews with an unnamed member of staff about "the victim", with the drama surrounding the bride, groom and their families in the lead up - they all have secrets and they all have their own agenda. As everything came to a head, so many truths were revealed and the revelations were life changing for several of the characters. Speaking of who, the characters were well developed and I was fully invested in their stories and finding out the truth. The epilogue was particularly brilliant, cleverly told from the perspectives of three very different viewpoints, tying up all of the loose ends.
A really enjoyable read.
4 ⭐️ Thanks to Netgalley, Renita D'SIlva and Boldwood for an ARC in return for an honest review.

My first book by Renita D'Silva, The Dream Wedding a great read.
Ideal setting for a wedding, what could go wrong?!
Fast-paced, short chapters pull the reader through quickly wanting more.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

First, thank you Netgalley and Joffe Books for this ARC!
A dream wedding in an exclusive resort? That is the stuff a good thriller is made of! Especially when one of the guests ends up being murdered at the very beginning of the story. I was lucky that Easter holiday meant I did not have to work, so I was able to read this in one sitting (minus some sleep)! I think this was my first Renita D’Silva book, but I feel like it will not be my last, at this point!
Also the cover is just beautiful! I do really have a thing for the white/red/gold combo!

Rich man plain woman fancy resort wedding. Things arent always what they seem. It started a bit slow but then picked up, some of the twist were easy, and others not at all. I loved the multiple endings for each character. My first book by this author.
3.25 stars

Renita D'Silva's "The Dream Wedding" is a thrilling blend of romance and suspense that captivates from the very first page. Set in an exclusive resort, the story follows Sam, whose fairy-tale wedding to billionaire Suraj Sharma quickly turns into a nightmare when anonymous threats and a shocking death disrupt the festivities.
D'Silva's writing is engaging. The short chapters create a fast-paced reading experience, making it difficult to put the book down as the tension escalates. Each chapter leaves you wanting more. Sam is a well-developed character, navigating her past while facing the chilling reality of her present. The supporting cast adds intrigue, each harboring secrets that keep readers guessing. This was my first book by D'Silva, and I look forward to exploring her other works in the future! Told in multiple POV, mostly in 3rd person, it can be read as a standalone novel. All in all, it was an enjoyable read and hope you enjoy it as well!
Thanks to Renita D'Silva, Netgalley, and Joffe Books for the advanced digital copy in exchange for an honest review. (Expected publication: May 14, 2025)

A luxury resort. A fairytale wedding. A murderer hiding in plain sight.
She should’ve known happily-ever-afters don’t come easy. Marrying Suraj Sharma — the billionaire heartthrob who pulled her out of obscurity — was supposed to mark the beginning of a brand-new chapter. A chance to start over. Wipe the slate clean but just as Sam is about to step into this glamorous new life, the past she tried to leave behind starts creeping in.
First, it’s the anonymous messages. Then, the sinister letters and then, on the night before the wedding, a scream echoes through the resort — followed by a body plunging from the cliffs. Her picture-perfect wedding has turned into a nightmare. They’re calling it an accident. But she knows the truth...

Just wrapped up this psychological suspense thriller and it definitely kept me guessing. It’s not the kind of story that gives you a neat, fairytale ending — and honestly, that’s part of the appeal.
There were a few twists that totally caught me off guard, and others I kind of saw coming, but they all worked to build the tension. The pacing starts off slow, so it took me a little while to get into it, but once things started unfolding, I was hooked.
What I really appreciated was how the author tied everything together at the end — it felt thoughtful and well done. If you’re into slow-burn thrillers with a darker edge and a satisfying conclusion, this one’s worth a spot on your TBR.
Thank You @Netgalley and @Joffeebooks for allowing me to review this ARC.

Great book! Was so invested in every second of the story. Thank you for letting me read in advance. Cannot wait to read other things from this author.

This one seemed like a slow start but when it started to pick up it just kept coming I enjoyed this read very much kept me turning the pages !! I will recommend

First of all, I want to give compliments for the beautiful cover. It immediately drew me in, and I think it fits the story particularly well.
This is truly about a fairytale wedding. A rich, handsome man meets a simple girl — though one who carries a secret. Only, the prince from the fairytale turns out to be more of a nightmare prince than a dream one.
I had great admiration for Sam who, although intimidated by all that wealth, still stands her ground, yet at the same time continues on despite her doubts. Will she change her mind or resign herself to it?
My favorite character was Lalita.
I thought it was lovely to see how three women from totally different backgrounds built such a strong bond.
There were a few surprising and a few less surprising twists, and although the pacing was generally quite slow, the story became more interesting as it progressed.
What I also found original was the epilogue, which was divided into different parts and gave us a glimpse into the future of several characters.
At times maybe a bit too much detail for me, but overall a good book. 4 stars.
Thank you.

The cover sold me on this book and I wasn’t disappointed with the story. Oh the secrets that the H and h have. The twist and turns as the story moves forward. Kept me guessing until the end.
Writing style is really good. Author knows how to build a story and make the reader imagine it all easy in their mind !!
I would read books by the author again and will likely reread this one again.

This book reminded me of something I have read before. I didn't love or hate it. It was the middle of the road for me. I would explore more from this author thought just to see more.

Review of ‘The Dream Wedding’ by Renita D’Silva, published 14 May 2025 by Joffe Books.
The ‘normal girl’ set to marry the most eligible bachelor at the wedding of the year, except she has secrets, and he has some of his own.
The book starts with an unnamed character murdered, with plenty of twists and turns.
Personally, I had figured some of the secrets before the big reveal, however you were kept in suspense over the victim and their murderer until the very end.
Recommended read for lovers of mystery/thriller.

An exclusive resort. A dream wedding. A killer among the guests. I should have known a fairy tale ending was too much to hope for! Good book! This book had gripping suspense, murder, mystery, intriguing, dark family secrets and a few wild twists! The story was interesting! It wasn’t one of my top favorites but still worth reading! Thank you NetGalley and Joffe books for sharing this book with me!

Thank you sooo much Joffe Books and NetGalley for an Excellent Read!!! Joffe Books turns out another great book with The Dream Wedding. Nice cover and this one I read and finished on a rainy Sunday. Great characters, Awesome plot and I also felt like I was there at the resort watching the story unwind. Super ending EXCEPT the last paragraph, did not like that at all. Loved the remaining characters and the wrap up they each had. Thank you again.

This book was completely unputdownable it reeled me in right from the very start. The twists left me speechless I did gasp out loud at the ending which I thought was brilliant!
Every chapter has a slap bang feeling to make your heart skip. The plot was interesting and kept me glued to my kindle! It was action-packed, suspenseful and intriguing!
