A trilling and surprising read from Delancey Stewart. I’ve read her romance stories and really enjoyed them but I also enjoy suspense/thrillers and this is a fantastic read.
Intriguing characters, a fantastic story and twists that keep you guessing.
Highly recommend. Thank you Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op and NetGalley for the complimentary copy.

Julia lives a quiet and isolated life in LA. She keeps to herself and goes by almost completely unnoticed. Until she meets Sebastian. Sebastian is kind, charming and handsome and he is the type of person Julia hasn't let herself get close to in years. But Julia's tenuous grip on reality begins to fray when Sebastian is adamant that he has actually met Julia before. When she was someone else. Because Julia is hiding secrets and she isn't who she says she is. When Julia starts to experience some unsettling events, the pieces of a forgotten life begin to come together. What happens when the life you stole starts to slip through your fingers?
This was the first book by this author that I have read so I had no clue what to expect, and I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised! Never in the Mirror was twisty without being too over the top and I felt like the story line was well plotted. It does take a little bit to get into the story though, but if you stick with it the pace speeds up. With the alternating POVs and timelines the reader is able to put the pieces of the story together. I would definitely recommend this one to fans of slow burn psychological thrillers that have emotional depth and complex characters!

This was an intense read as Julia’s lies unravelled and her grip on reality shifted. The twists kept me hooked, making for a gripping and unpredictable story.

This is my very first book by this author.
I thought this book was a bit of a slow start for me personally but it soon picked up and ended up rather enjoying it and glad I perceived with it.

I am a big fan of this author, and have read many of her works, so when I heard she wrote this book, I happily grabbed it. While this genre isn't my usual read, I knew it was going to be worth my time - and it was! I could not put it down, and ended up finishing it in one sitting.
Those early chapters definitely sparked my curiosity and kept me reading. I felt deeply for Lanie and the impact of her mother’s decisions on her life. The relationship’s progression clearly foreshadows the book’s events; despite my initial hope for her, certain outcomes were inevitable.
The characters’ relatability made parts of this storyline emotionally impactful, causing me to pause and consider the events’ effects. I love how unpredictable and well-planned this storyline is. It all clicked for me unexpectedly, leaving me with a bittersweet acceptance of the conclusion, that I wasn't expecting.
I highly recommend this book; it’s interesting, engaging, and incredibly addictive.
I’m grateful to Netgalley and the author for providing me with an ARC, and I’m pleased to share my review.

This book was a good book. It was slow at the beginning and almost didn’t catch my attention but as I continued going it finally started getting interesting. I would recommend this book.

I read this book over a two day period and it kept me turning the page wondering what was next. This book is good if you enjoy thinking what the heck is going on here multiple times while reading it. You kind of know but your curiosity keeps you going.
The real story in this book is truly people with scarred lives and how that affects their psyche. Unfortunately, the main character suffers at the hand of her mother but also shows that being with that mother left the MFC with certain tendencies, but things broke in her for her to fully come into being.
This is definitely the book that you read, wondering what went on and as the puzzle pieces fall into place the story becomes clear.
A great story! 5 stars!

oh this book was so good. i was hooked. from the got go the character intrigued me. i wanted to know her story. i wanted to know her pat and what brought her to being in the position she was. i also wanted to shake her at times to open her eyes to what was actually in front of her. and i wanted to then shake others to stay away!
i wanted to know the secrets that made a woman create a new person and hide in a new place. and what happens when that life starts to unravel. how do you keep your secrets. how do you keep your now. how do you heal from the past. and can the two work without the other happening. but there are people who dont want to help you on that road. so what then? bravery...lots of bravery and i was here for this journey. it was gripping and tense and a fab thriller. the questions you ask the author answers and some moments were guessable but in all the teasing good ways. and something things i didnt guess at all in all best gotchya moments. i thought Julia as a character was so well crafted. i could really feel and see her and felt her emotional roller coaster. i understood so much of what she went through and it felt like Delancey did a great job of giving us her story with reel depth and feeling.

I've just hovered over 4 or 5 stars with this one. I'll admit, the first few chapters I was unsure. I kept reading but I just wasn't as gripped as I like to be when reading, but thankfully I kept going and before long the story had completely swallowed me and I was lost in it (in a good way not a confused way). Some things that happened I'd already guessed that it would be something like that but it didn't spoil it at all. It was suspenseful and it wasn't long before I just had to read more and more, I needed to know what would happen and when it would all come together. I will definitely be recommending this to others.

Julia has secrets. her name isn't her own, the place where she lives is not her hometown and when she meets Sebastian everything she has tried to hide seems to unravel piece by piece.
This is one of those WOW books. It is gripping and intense and brilliant.
I loved the authors storytelling and how Julias life came apart. I found myself trying to tell her to open her eyes.
I loved this..

Never in the Mirror follows the stories of Julia and Lanie through two alternating POVs and timelines through an evocative narrative that is incredibly cinematographical. I pictured myself drivig around the LA canyons with Lanie, walking around Cabo San Lucas with Sebastian, talking to Marilyn about... well, you'll have to read this book to find out!
An absolutely page-turner, Delancey Stewart has delivered a masterpiece!
