Caleb and samantha story.
Sometimes things aren't always as they appear. Sometimes people aren't sure about others until well, time is spent together. And you develop feelings, you didn't know. We're there.
So many friends gathering at the farm. The square dancing so much fun time out for ice cream .
I have to say my favorite parts of the book. We're with the dog.🐾 you put a dog in a story, and you have the perfect story.
the wedding was absolutely the best.
This was another wonderful story. Second story in this series, and I absolutely adore it.
Thank you miranda for this wonderful story.

This is the second book in Miranda Liasson’s The Amazing Doctors of Oak Bluff series of contemporary romance, although it’s about a different couple and can stand alone. Some of the featured tropes are enemies to lovers, sister’s best friend, matchmaker, and forced proximity. If you enjoy Hallmark movies, you’ll probably enjoy this clean romance between coworkers Dr. Samantha Bashar (best friend of Mia from the first book) and Dr. Caleb D’Angelo (Mia’s brother).
The story is told from Sam and Caleb’s dual points of view. I adored orthopedist Caleb from the very beginning. He’s sweet and protective and good with kids, although he can certainly spar with Sam. Anesthesiologist Sam was hard to like at first because she was so abrasive. However, she regrets having gossiped about Caleb, spreading a lie that hurts his chances to reignite a romance with his first love, Lilly, and she attempts to make amends. Over the course of the story, we learn why she tends to push people away, and she softens into a character I could root for.
Overall, this was an enjoyable romance with some sweet scenes between the main characters as well as with their family members and friends. The D’Angelo family are so supportive, and I especially loved the touching scenes between Sam and Caleb’s mom.
The language is clean, there’s an injury but no violence, and sexual activity takes place off the page, so this would be appropriate for a wide audience.

A charming small-town romance with all the warm, fuzzy feels you'd expect from Miranda Liasson. The family dynamics were sweet, the setting was cozy, and the wedding chaos kept things fun. The romance was okay, but left me wanting more. I found myself wishing for more of an emotional connection rather than the insta-love that they seemed to have. That said, the few chapters after their first kiss were solid, showing how they bonded through shared “trauma” and fell into a routine together. A lovely weekend read if you're looking for something light and heartwarming for somewhere like the beach.

I love a best friend's brother romance trope. Make them co-workers and adversaries who are the last to realize all that friction between them signals something far different from aggravation simmering beneath the surface and I am well and truly hooked. Liasson uses all of the above in her newest novel, Take Me to the Wedding.
I am loving this series. Split between the small town of Oak Bluff and the city children's hospital where Sam and Caleb work, this second book in the series is filled with the humor, heartwarming charm, and emotional depth I've come to expect from a Miranda Liasson novel. I love the family dynamics (Caleb's mom is a favorite), the strong friendships, the sweet romance, the snappy banter, and the heart tugs that come from the kids the docs work with at the hospital. It makes me even more invested in these characters.
The ensemble cast adds rich texture to the story, catching readers up with characters from book one and introducing new characters I hope we'll be seeing in future books. I feel like these characters have become friends and I'm eager to see all of them (or at least the ones I like) happily snuggled up with their soulmates.
You don't have to have read book one, Take Me Home for Christmas first in order to enjoy book two though there are crossover characters. I enthusiastically recommend both.

Title: Take Me to the Wedding
Author: Miranda Liasson
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Review: Miranda Liasson's Take Me to the Wedding is a delightful blend of wit, warmth, and slow-burn romance. Set against the backdrop of a friend’s wedding, the story follows Dr. Samantha Bashar and Dr. Caleb D’Angelo—rivals, neighbors, and soon-to-be something more. When Sam accidentally disrupts Caleb’s romantic plans, the two agree to work together, only to discover unexpected chemistry beneath their banter.
I really enjoyed this light, closed-door romance—it struck the perfect balance of humor and heart. The emotional growth, strong character dynamics, and charming small-town setting make it a satisfying read. I’ll definitely be visiting other books in the Amazing Doctors of Oak Bluff series!
Thank you NetGalley and Amazon publishing for providing an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Take Me to the Wedding casts a spell on the senses and steals away with the heart. From frustratingly, funny to heartachingly tempting, Samantha and Caleb are hauntingly clueless. Liasson shakes up the soul with deep emotions and an ironic sense of humor. Captivating, must read romance.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for sending me a copy of this book to review.
This was a fun romance novel, and I enjoyed it a lot. I am looking forward to reading more by this author.

This romance novel centers on doctors Samantha and Caleb, colleagues whose relationship is initially strained due to a mistake Sam made based on another colleague's gossip, which negatively impacted Caleb's personal life. Now, attending a mutual friend's wedding, Sam attempts to mend things by using her grandmother's matchmaking skills to help Caleb reconnect with his first love, Lily. However, Sam finds herself falling for Caleb, despite her growing realization that Lily isn't the right match for him. Adding to the complication is Caleb's initial perception of Sam as his "sworn enemy," though he begins to see a different side of her as they spend more time together. The reviewer highlights the enjoyable "frenemy" dynamic between Sam and Caleb, the palpable chemistry that builds between them, and the way kissing intensifies their connection. The presence of characters from the first book in the series further enhances the reading experience, which is described as delightful, humorous, and filled with family and friendship. The reviewer highly recommends the book, noting it as a must-have..

Dr. Samantha Bashar can't stand Dr. Caleb D'Angelo her best friends brother, for some reason he just rubs her the wrong way. Caleb is looking forward to a second chance with his first love but thanks to Sam it looks like that chance is ruined. She spread a rumor and it got back to the young woman now Caleb is furious. Sam feels bad and wants to help fix things but he just.wants her to stop and leave it be. The two end up having to spend time together and their feelings for one another begin to change. Follow along and see how they try to work around one another but can't help the rising feelings making their self known. Will Caleb work things out with his first love or will his new feelings for Sam lead to romance.

Heartwarming rom-com done the Liasson way
For readers who like the romance in a rom-com to be sweet, little angsty but wonderful, Ms. Liasson is for you! She can write the sweetest stories without getting syrupy about it. In reading the very end of the book, I saw where Ms. Liasson was a former pediatrician so writing a series about young doctors sounds perfect for her. If you enjoy clean but passionate stories with humor and a wonderful cast of characters, you really need to read her books. Start with this one!
Dr. Caleb D’Angelo is just finishing up his fellowship in pediatric orthopedics and hoping to go home to Oak Bluff to practice. At the moment, he is planning to attend and be in the wedding of his friends: Ani and Tyler. Also attending will be several others including “the love of his life” Lilly and the woman anesthesiologist who drives him crazy, our FMC: Dr. Samantha Bashar. They squabble constantly. And, they are neighbors so the angry words don’t stay at work. Can they get through the wedding festivities without killing each other or ruining the wedding? So much happens and the reader discovers so much about Caleb, Samantha and Lilly. Sam’s back story is touching. Caleb’s attention is just what this doctor ordered for a wonderful and entrancing story. I’ll admit that there were times when Sam irritated me but I chalk it up to good writing. I am already looking forward to Ani’s story next. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through NetGalley.
Pssst: Look for the scene that inspired the cover of this book!

This was such a cute book! I definitely recommend it. It will stay with you long after you finish it! Maybe grab a few tissues too!

Miranda Liasson is the one author that I know I can always turn to for sweet, heartfelt, small town modern day romance. Her stories put you right in the thick of the hardships and highlights of relationships and Take Me to the Wedding was no different.
Caleb and Samantha are doctors at the same children's hospital in Milwaukee who really don't care for each other, but are forced to get along for the sake of their friends and family (Caleb's sister is Mia, Samantha's best friend). When an upcoming wedding forces them together, they are forced to spend a weekend together with all of their friends and Caleb's college sweetheart (who he is trying to rekindle a relationship with) while trying to be civil to one another. The dynamic between Samantha and Caleb is so fun and I really enjoyed the way their characters found themselves in that weekend. They both allowed themselves to be open to new experiences and open to things they hadn't realized they were feeling.
The banter, found family and love that Miranda Liasson puts into all of her books will always have me coming back for more. She does it in such a natural way that you feel like part of the group and I do love her happy endings 🩵
Caleb and Samantha's was so very sweet indeed🥂

Take Me to the Wedding is the second novel in Miranda Liasson’s Amazing Doctors of Oak Bluff series. Dr. Samantha Bashar, anesthesiologist, is best of friends with pediatric oncologist Dr. Mia D’Angelo, however Sam finds it hard to be in the same room with Mia’s brother, Dr. Caleb D’Angelo, orthopedic surgeon. When Sam and Caleb first met there might have been an attraction, but when he left her hanging at midnight on a New Year’s Eve the division began and continued to spread with them picking at one another regularly. It doesn’t help any that they have apartments across the hall from each other.
It also doesn’t help that they are both scheduled to be a part of colleague and pediatrician Ani’s weddings as she marries Tyler Banks in just a few weeks. They will need to endure the weekend country outing planned in lieu of bachelor and bachelorette parties. Then, there will be the wedding festivities and events back in the same country locale. This in mind, Caleb extends an olive branch and even asks Sam to help him win back his former girlfriend Lilly. But this just might backfire in unforeseen ways.
This is a fun novel, but it touches on difficult topics as well. The characters are well written and endearing. I very much enjoyed this book, as I did the first in the series, and not only recommend it but I also look forward to the next book in the series.

This is the second book in Miranda Liasson’s series The Amazing Doctors of Oak Bluff, and I loved it! I look forward to reading the next one in the series!
Dr. Caleb D’Angelo thinks he met the love of his life, Lilly, at the age of eighteen. Circumstances dismantled the relationship, but he hasn’t been able to let it go. He still thinks she is his happily-ever-after. That is, until he gets to know anesthesiologist Samantha Bashar who works at the same Children’s hospital. These two are as different as night and day and are constantly arguing. Samantha also happens to be a good friend of Caleb’s sister Mia.
The story centers on a farm pre-wedding weekend for Samantha and Mia’s friend Ani’s wedding party. Caleb is hoping the weekend will help him reconnect with Lilly, and Samantha has told Caleb she will help him win Lilly back. However, it doesn’t take long for Caleb to realize that Lilly is no longer for him. Being away from the hospital, Caleb and Samantha go from being enemies to friends and the sparks fly. Samantha has fought to get where she is and has taken care of her younger sister, Wynn. Samantha does not believe that love is a big fairy tale and has always run away from love.
Just when she decides to take a chance and embrace her relationship with Caleb, Lilly interferes. Will Lilly convince Caleb to get back together, so that Samantha will lose her chance for happiness? You need to read this wonderful story of what love, families, and friendship is all about!
I received an e-ARC copy of this book from the publisher/author via Netgalley and my honest review is my own voluntary opinion.

Enemies to Lovers story that will have you staying up way past your bedtime. I just loved the family standing behind them and not interfering with them. They gently led them in the direction they knew they wanted. Light and fun story. Enjoyed it from start to finish.

Take Me to the Wedding by Miranda Liasson, book two in The Amazing Doctors of Oak Bluff series, is wonderful, heartwarming, humorous, emotional, enemies-to-lovers, best friend’s brother, friends and family romance. It is heartfelt reminder that when you let your guard down and allow yourself to be vulnerable, the right person won’t let you fall; they will catch you.
Caleb D’Angelo and Samantha Bashar are both residents at Milwaukee’s Children Hospital, he in orthopedics and she in anesthesiologist, live across the hall from each other and who know how to push each others’ buttons. In addition, Caleb is the older brother of Sam’s best friend, Mia. Growing up, their lives were completely different. Caleb, almost finished with his pediatric orthopedic internship comes from a loving, boisterous Oak Bluff family who is loud and full of love. Sam’s childhood was difficult until she and her much younger sister were taken in by their grandmother, a matchmaker. Sam doesn’t really believe in love, is very competitive, and determined to take care of her sister and accomplish her goals.
At first they seem as compatible as water and oil but when they are forced together during a drive to a friend’s wedding, Sam apologizes for a rumor that was started by her about Caleb; agreeing to help him reconnect with his old love, Lily. The more time Caleb spends with Lilly, the more he sees her in a different light, and he's not sure it’s positive. The more he sees of Sam has him having a change of heart about his feelings for her while she is also seeing him differently. There seems to be something sparking between them other than their former antagonism toward each other. That maybe what a person shows the world is a cover-up for the real person; covering up their true feelings and fears.

This book is told from a first-person point of view, but the author switches between the perspectives of both main characters, which I appreciated. I really enjoyed the friendships between the characters—they felt mostly genuine and believable. However, I felt there was a lot of unnecessary drama for a group of adults. At times, the conflicts felt more like something out of high school rather than involving people in their 30s. By the end, I found both Sam and Caleb to be immature. I did like Mia—she seemed honest and straightforward, someone who saw things clearly and didn’t sugarcoat the truth. She tried to keep life simple and less complicated, which I admired. Overall, the book was just okay—a decent read, but not especially memorable.

A heart warming romance of enemies to lovers, workplace romance, and best friend's older brother. Just from that description I was hooked on Caleb and Samantha. Loved the banter that they shared. Loved how Samantha was helping Caleb reconcile with his first true love, only to find out Caleb was falling in love with her.
This is a book that I highly recommend, left me smiling through out the whole story. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

How to be nice to your best friend brother, who you work with at the hospital? The biggest thorn in your side! And of course you would have to be both standing up at the same wedding. Samantha is really fed up with the good looking Dr. Caleb and when he pulls her from surgery that was the last straw. Caleb had it with the overbearing, obnoxious anesthesiologist but for the sake of their friend’s wedding a truce must be made.
Love the enemy to friends, small town vibe of this story. The author really does a wonderful job bringing the characters to life on the pages. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC. All opinions expressed are my own.

Take Me to the Wedding is book 2 in the Amazing Doctors of Oak Bluff by Miranda Liasson and what a great read!
Caleb and Samantha are neighbors, coworkers but they don’t get along in or out of the hospital. Now they must attend a weekend retreat for another friend who’s getting married. What happens next…tensions are high, banter, matchmaking, helping friends, breaking down walls, Mr Romantic, enemies to lovers, listening to their hearts and maybe finding they really are soulmates…read on to see how it all ends!
