Someone is trying to blackmail her sna so begins, what seems like an Agatha Christieesq stlye drama.

This is a good read and well told tale. I loved the suspense and I was trying to guess the whos and whys.

This is the perfect book to take away on holiday. especially to Italy I was hooked from the start and for me is was brilliant.

Vivi is dealing with the recent death of her husband. She decides to pay for her sister, nieces, and three friends to join her for a little birthday getaway in Italy. Vivi discovers someone is blackmailing her and that someone else slept with her husband and lied about it. Enter an old senile woman running around with guns, and a suspicious younger man with drugs spending time with the 16 year old girls. Then someone ends up dead. And there are connections between some of these people that were not known before. Great book!!!

Intriguing, Immersive…
In the midst of a tragedy, Vivi Savidge has booked out the Palazzo Stellina, a former convent and now a luxury hideaway at the foothills of the Italian Alps. A celebration of her fortieth birthday - it is to be an intimate company, close friends and close family only - quite different to the original big bash plan. But, under a stifling sun secrets and lies will fester and will soon out - before the week has ended, someone will be dead. An atmospheric and slow burn mystery with an underlying vein of menace and a carefully executed plot populated with a credible and well drawn cast of characters. Intriguing, compelling and immersive.
