Gorgeous travel read! I highly enjoyed seeing a perspective of traveling to Italy through such young eyes. It was refreshing and hopeful. I highly enjoyed reading it and am would love to read more from this author in the future.

I'm giving this book two stars because of all the references to Italy. Otherwise, I don't think I'd have finished it. The story is superficial. Few of the plot points have any support, substance, or reason. I don't find the characters compelling, except maybe for Issa, who is compelling but not loveable. The story could certainly be fleshed out, but this felt like an outline rather than a novel.

This one took a little time to pull me in, but I’m glad I kept going! ✨
A heartfelt story about love, family, and finding your path. It blends cozy moments, real struggles, and emotional growth in the best way ❤️ The setting made me want to pack a bag and fly to Italy! 🇮🇹
A warm, hopeful ending sealed the deal for me.
4 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me a free ARC copy to read!

Thank you City Owl Press for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
I laughed out loud so many times! Isa was a hoot and I enjoyed Diego and Paolo quite a bit as well. I really loved Juliet's relationships with her new international friends, Isa (Marco and Sofia), her parents, and of course Jake. I liked how imperfect the characters were and how everyone embraced each other as is.
This book definitely made me hungry with all the mentions of food. The descriptions of various locations make me want to go to Italy. Pacing was great. I thought the character's journey was fantastic, if a little too easy. Overall this was a very enjoyable YA read.
Wish this nanny job was available when I was in college!
There were only a few things that kinda took me out of the story: most native Californians do not refer to the state as 'Cali'; Souther California is SoCal; UC San Diego spelled out every time (instead of referring to it as UCSD or SD); in any other part of the world the first HP book was Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone; and no mention of the whole soccer/football terminology.

What a beautiful novel! I couldn’t wait to read it and I read it practically all in one sitting. It was romantic, funny, and don’t even get me started on the scenery! I love escapist travel type books and I think this may be part of a series so I’m very much going to be checking them out’
