I found this book both enjoyable and predictable. Mary and Alex have incredible chemistry together, but the feud is a problem! Mary's brothers practically hate (or just strongly resent) Alex for the way he treated Mary during their senior year. Mary is far more forgiving than her brothers. I think her love for Alex never really wavered. She just kept a lid on it all these years, but it never truly went away.
Working together provides them opportunities to not only clear the air between them, but also to get to know each other again on a deeper level. When they are together, sparks fly. Even in moments of anger, the sparks are still there. But sometimes pride gets in the way.

Overall, this was a very easy read and I had a pretty good idea of how things would turn out. Michelle McCraw writes well. I will say that this is not suitable for Christian readers, so if you are looking for something inspirational, find something else. If you like a romp or two in the pages, this is your book.

A second chance romance for Mary and Alex. They have not really spoken for years since he stood her up on prom night, so now they are spending more time together as she is wedding planner at his hotel, will be open up and give them a real chance? I liked how it was told from both points of view, and look forward to the next books in this series.

Four Weddings and a Feud, by Michelle McCraw, is the second book in the Forza Family series. I haven’t read anything by the author before, but the cover and book description sounded interesting. This book is the story of Mary and Alex’s second-chance romance. Overall, this book is light and entertaining, but the love story didn’t really work for me. The main characters work together during most of the book, and their interactions felt more professional than a couple in love.

Mary and Alex were good friends in high school, and meet again later in life at Alex’s hotel in Las Vegas. Alex, a successful entrepreneur and businessman, is still plagued by angry thoughts about his father, who swindled many people in the community out of their life savings. He is extremely driven and his main goal is to redeem the family name that his father destroyed. Mary manages her family’s transportation business and is trying to start a wedding planning business. She still cares about Alex, but is apprehensive about letting him into her life after he disappointed her by standing her up for the prom in high school.

Alex’s character was cold and rigid. He micromanages all of his employees, including the woman he is in love with. He and Mary are planning a big wedding at his hotel, and he insists on having a hand in every aspect of the planning. When many issues come up during the wedding ceremony, he is furious and blames Mary.

I didn’t really enjoy the love story between Mary and Alex. The author describes their feelings about each other and relationships in a very immature way. Their scenes together had little chemistry or flirtation. Alex was not an appealing male main character. He was extremely serious and seemed always to be stressed or in a bad mood. He was very controlling of everyone in his life, including Mary. If Mary was my friend, I would encourage her to stay away from a man like Alex who insisted on dictating so many things about her life.

Mary is hoping to find love and marriage, and start a successful business. Her friends and family provide a lot of support to her, which was a positive part of this book. I always enjoy a second-chance romance, and I think this book would appeal to a reader looking for a light romance with low steam. The Forza family are interesting to read about and I think it would be fun to read a love story about each sibling. I enjoyed the ending and epilogue of this book and was glad to see that Mary got the HEA she longed for.

Thanks to Michelle McCrawl, City Owl Press and NetGalley for an advance reader’s copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

4 Weddings and a Feud is a childhood friends to lovers romance, offering our main characters, Mary & Alex, a second chance at love and all the wedding chaos! Mary has her dream business and Alex has his Sin City empire and now, they’re stuck having to work together even with a painful history that’s wedged in between them. When feelings of the past are brought back to the light, do they take a chance on love or is Alex still the biggest risk of all?

This book was an easy ready and overall, I enjoyed it. This was my first book by McGraw and I’m grateful to have received an ARC of it, as I was throughly intrigued by the title!

I enjoyed being able for read and find out the reasons behind the two falling out back in high school. The fact that Mary was so open and willing to give Alex a chance after not hearing from him and everyone else holding a grudge against him, showed that she was a strong character. Finding out about Alex’s past was eye opening and made me want to root for him… until he started reverting back to his ways, but in a sense, that it how growth works. Sometimes it’s a back and forth game.

I will say that I felt like there were parts that were moving too fast because of their time jumps and that made sections of the story feel rushed to me.

Overall, though, I really did enjoy reading this book, so thank you to NetGalley, City Owl Press, and Michelle McGraw for the ARC.

I really enjoyed Mary and Alex coming back together to work on a wedding. I liked that she was willing to give him a chance despite not knowing why he stood her up in high school. Once we figure out what happened I definitely had more sympathy for Alex, but he definitely could have used more character growth. He was quick to judge Mary and make assumptions about her.

Mary Forza works at her brother's business and wants to start her own wedding planning business. She goes to a expo at Alex Villa's casino and runs in to Alex. Mary and Alex went to high school together and it seems he stood her up for prom. So, her brothers do not want her around him now. When Mary lands the biggest wedding of the season that will take place at his hotel they have to work together to pull the wedding off.
There seems to be problems with all the weddings that Mary is planning and Alex seems to be sticking his nose into the wedding planning.

Oh my goodness this book! It is so much fun, I sat down with the intention of just reading the first chapter and just couldn't put it down! Mary is an events planner and when she is approached to plan a career changing wedding in Vegas, she jumps at the chance, only to find that the boy who humiliated her at prom is now a mogul who owns the resort the bride wants her wedding at! She now has second thoughts about taking the wedding but the money is just too good!

So she has to put her feelings aside and make it happen, whatever could happen?

A fun fast paced story with two characters who have the best banter and chemistry i've read in a long time

Highly recommend!

This was a cute fast paced read about childhood friends who had a falling out and became enemies. They’re forced to work together to plan a high profile wedding and throughout the process sparks fly and the reason behind the falling out reveals itself so you really get an understanding of what both Mary and Alex experienced. I enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next one in the series!

This book was fun and a relatively quick read. Two childhood friends turned enemies have to work together to pull off a wedding for the daughter of a very rich and powerful man. I love that it was set in Vegas, it’s the perfect backdrop for this kind of story.

Mary bites off a bit more than she can chew trying to get her wedding business off the ground, while also working with her brothers at their car company. In steps Alex to help (even when Mary doesn’t think she needs it). They had fun chemistry, but I did find Alex to be a bit controlling at times, he’s used to making the decisions and has to learn throughout the book to let go of a bit of that control, as Mary is definitely not the type to just let him do everything for her.

Evie and Michael are clearly next up in the series, can’t wait to read their story!

forced back together with the boy that broke your heart on prom night. huh, never going to happen. except what happens when it needs to happen for your dreams and work life to come true? well, its been years. you're both adults. you can be mature. you can just act like its nothing, hes nothing. oh and of course try not to let your brothers show their protective side via punches...of course. what could go wrong?
well this boy is man now. and seeing him gleans a difference to both of you now you have years and lifetimes on your side. both see something great in each other and its clear the spark is still there. more now. its no longer child splay. its real. but does that make it even worse. because the risks are bigger and the heart could breaker harder. can she take the risk?
this book was really readable. as in a just wanted to keep going and going. the story was fab, the characters fab and it was a story i was just involved in right the way through.
id love to read the others as having googled i think there is more from this family or group? but it is absolutely fine as a standalone which was what it was for me. but i def want to go and find out more from this author.

A wonderful read!
This novel drew me in from the very first page and kept me hooked until the end. The characters were vibrant and relatable, the writing was engaging, and the story had just the right balance of heart and humor. Highly recommend!
Many thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this book. It was a cute second-chance childhood sweethearts romance. The brothers, oh swoon, they were great! I really loved Evie as well!

I hope we get a story about Evie and Michael. Not only did I enjoy the main characters but I really enjoyed all the characters in the book.

Alex broke Mary’s heart all those years ago when he stood her up for the prom. He had his reasons though he never shared them with her. What will happen when they are pushed back together? You need to read to find out!

Thank you City Owl Press and NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book. All opinions are my own!

Thank you to NetGalley for providing this ARC.

I loved this book so much! Alex and Mary are such a cute couple and I'm always a sucker for second chance romances.

I really loved that Alex respected Mary as a serious business woman and I loved that Mary was against her brothers beating up Alex even when she was mad at him.

I also loved that at the beginning of the book the two acted like mature adults and were able to work together and be friendly despite their past.

Totally random, but the peanut butter + banana + bacon sandwich sounds so good, I have to try that now.

The two of them are just such a cute couple and they have great chemistry together.

I liked the concept of this book but I'm not sure what it was that just felt a bit lacking, like something was missing almost? It's not bad, but it also didn't wow me I'm afraid. Thank you for the arc.

This is a 3 for me I enjoyed the characters and story line but the writing was just okay. I struggled to envision the story as I read it and the writing was just simple and perhaps lacking some description. The dialogue between the characters was fine but there was a sense of lack of maturity for me in the characters/writing. There also was huge time jumps - it felt like events in the story were happening so fast and they came as a surprise sometimes because there was not much build up to it. It was still a good read and the did enjoy it, it was an easy read and a breeze to get through but lacked the pull to hook me in immediately.
