I really enjoyed this book and absolutely love the cover, this was such a unique idea for a young adult book. I sadly did not like the idea of something having to lose their virginity to be able to hunt certain monsters but other then that I did enjoy my time.

Love the cover, love the synopsis – but it just wasn't for me. I'd read more from this author in the future though.

Maggie wants to become a fully fledged Hunter like her mom, but the supernatural creatures are drawn to her because she's a virgin, so she has to lose her virginity before she can slay the monsters. Only thing is, while she is kick was as a hunter, she doesn't have a clue about dating or boys!!

This book was so much fun!! I laughed out loud countless times and had a ball while reading it. Maggie is such an awesome character!!! This part sums her up perfectly..... Maggie's battled ghosts and goblins and her fair share of house brownies, but finding herself a boy - fitting in with her peers - proves a much more daunting task than any monster hunt. Did you know normal girls don't stuff their bras with holy water balloons? Nor do they carry wooden stakes in their waistbands. And they care about things like "matching" and "footwear." Of course, they also can't clean a gun blindfolded, shoot a crossbow, or exorcise ghosts from a house. Which means they're lame and Maggie's not. Because Maggie's awesome. The Awesome, in fact. Just ask her. She'd be more than happy to tell you.....

Maggie was such a strong character. She was kick ass, independent, fierce, loyal, snarky and a great person. I loved her relationship with her mom, it was more like sisters than mom and daughter. All the snark from Maggie hides her sensitive and loving side though!!!

The plot was fast paced and a fun kind of silly! How many books out there deal with a monster Hunter having to lose their virginity before they can get their license!! It was unique, quirky and a riot.

In all this was a fun, entertaining and quick read. I'm looking forward to more from this author.
