Grimstink is a hilarious and clever sci-fi adventure that blends alien invasions with British everyday life in the most brilliant way. Layla and Reece are a relatable sibling duo, and Grimstink is both chaotic and oddly lovable. The humour is sharp, the plot moves at warp speed, and there are touching moments that give it real depth.

Perfect for fans of quirky, fast-paced stories with heart. I loved every page!

This is a really fun and engaging read. I love how the author has taken everyday aspects of British retail life (Subway, NEXT, Argos) and woven them into this tale of aliens sizing up our planet and wanting to take it over.
In Grimstink we have a lovable anti-hero. Layla Tenby and Reece Tenby are brilliantly relatable brother and sister combo, and the cast of characters from Qarl are at once familiar and at times mildly terrifying.
There are some big themes (dementia, friendship, love, lgbtq) in there, which are touched upon lightly and add to the story whilst in no way feeling preachy.
It was also very, very funny. Even though I enjoy reading humour, I don't often laugh out loud. This gave me chuckles aplenty. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys science fiction and silliness.

What a story! It's got it all: goodies, baddies, love, sibling jealousy, aliens, annihilation of Earth and friendship. What more do you need? There are twists and turns that have you guessing the whole way to the end and then there's the humour. It's laugh-out-loud funny in places and su the in others. An absolutely brilliant read for anyone who like fast paced sci-fi funny books!
