Though he’s a vampire, Count Dracula is known for one thing around town: his famous brunch club, featuring his famous blood-orange jelly filled donuts. However, after coming back from a trip, he’s found that all of the jelly has mysteriously disappeared and his nemesis, Constantine, has taken over his brunch club.
When humans also start disappearing, it’s up to Dracula to figure out what happened to them. And his jelly. And hopefully set his brunch club back to normal.
Thanks to Oni Press and NetGalley for an advanced copy of Dracula’s Brunch Club by Brian Gonsar to review! I was drawn in by the cover of this one, as it just looks like a delightfully good time. Plus, who wouldn’t want to read a story about a vampire who started his own brunch club?
Kids will definitely get a kick out of this story, as it reads almost like a cartoon. Dracula gets up to plenty of silly antics, especially when it comes to solving the problem of the missing jelly. The art fits the overall tone of the story perfectly, and I really can’t wait to recommend this to kids once it comes out.
There’s a lot to love about this book, and if your kid is a graphic novel fan, this should definitely be on your list when it comes out at the end of August!

Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to read this book in exchange for a honest review. I promise my review is 100% accurate to me.
Fun graphic novel with an entertaining lovable cast of characters.

An adorable book that middle grade readers will enjoy. The story has a nice mix of suspense and humor that middle grade readers will "get". I loved the blood orange jelly donuts. I can see my middle grade readers wanting to attempt making their own blood orange jelly donuts! A cute storyline with good graphics.

Oh, this was fun! There is such great humour wedged between the pages of this graphic novel. I was a huge fan of the illustration too, it was stunning!
I really loved the Chef and Dracula's dynamic, it was so light and fun to work. One of the things I also enjoyed was the character development and how well the characters were formed, there was so much attention to detail. For instance, when Dracula talks about being younger there's attention to detail that really added such a special, funny touch ('when I was younger, maybe 240 years old'). Also Dracula's crush on Elena? Absolutely adorable.
The overall premise was so much fun, this quest for jelly for the famous jelly doughnuts. It was the perfect combination of light and adventurous. My only pet peeve was the illustration on page 60, it felt misaligned and the illustrations felt separate at the top of the page vs the bottom which made the flow feel clunky. But other than that - such a fun ride!

I absolutely loved this book! It was cute and sweet as well as entertaining. Definitely a good read if you want something that isn't too long but also has a good plot.

This was a cute graphic novel that, at first, my six year old really enjoyed reading. However, it took a bit too long for a resolution for him to stay interested so we ended up abandoning it. I think kids who are a bit older --2nd-4th grade--would enjoy this more. It would be a good fit for those who love spooky or vampire stories, graphic novels, or mysteries. Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC.

Super cute spin on Dracula. I envisioned Adam Sandler’s Count Dracula from Hotel Transylvania but less childish. The whole spin on jelly donuts was cute and unique. I loved the art style and color palette,

I thought this was adorable and would be perfect for middle grade readers. The illustration style and a lot of the humor reminded me of a Cartoon Network show. In all honesty this had a really good cast of characters and would make a good series. I also really enjoyed on the last few pages where they showed the evolution of this graphic novel, how the cover came to be, and the process for going from a page of notes mapping out the panels to the finished product. Very neat.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a chance to read this as an earc so I could give my honest opinion.

I loved this graphic novel. It was so much fun. Not a new story but definitely a new take. Great graphics and engaging characters. I would love a sequel.

Watch out, don't read this unless you have donuts within reach! DRACULA'S BRUNCH CLUB is one of the cutest graphic novels I have read in a long time. The illustrations are AMAZING, and remind me a lot of classic Cartoon Network shows from Genndy Tartakovsky, like Dexter's Laboratory and Power Puff Girls. If you have kiddos in your life who enjoy kid-friendly horror, I encourage you to get DRACULA'S BRUNCH CLUB and eat some donuts!

Brilliant graphic novel I could definitely see becoming a favourite for the people who have loved Garlic and the Vampire. Definitely one to add to the collection and a fun story for kids and adults to both enjoy. Pick it up if you get a chance it won’t let you down!

This was a super cute world, and I liked the characters a lot. But the story was a little off. I would definitely try others by this author though

This was a cool book. Out of all the reimaginings of Dracula, him as a burgeoning restauranteur who specializes in jelly donuts is certainly one of the most unique. Him and his chef are fun to watch. Its got humor, its well illustrated, it’ll be a great read before you go to brunch

4/5⭐️ First of all, thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for an arc of “Dracula’s Brunch Club”. What a fun read!! The art style reminded me a lot of “The Powerpuff Girls” and the story reminded me of “Hotel Transylvania”, which is one of my favorite movies! Also, i absolutely love donuts filled with strawberry jam…so this book was pretty much made for me xd. The story was very fun and compelling, i really enjoyed this book!! Also, I think the art style really suits the story 🧛🏻♀️🦇🩸

This book is so funny. I love the puns and jokes throughout. The characters are well thoughout and very humourous. It definitely gives me some nostalgic feels as well. The art is beautifully done and everything is so vivid. Such an enjoyable read.

Thank you to Net Galley for giving me the opportunity to read Dracula's Brunch Club before its release date, August 12, 2025.
Dracula is not your average vampire...he's a vampire that loves to bake! This middle grade graphic novel is hilarious and the illustrations are giving Hotel Transylvania vibes, which I absolutely LOVE! This graphic novel was so much fun to read and I think children of all ages would enjoy it!

This was a real cute and cozy graphic novel, I really liked how the artsyle was reminiscent of cartoons in the 90s and early 2000s. This was a fun read that I recommend for readers of all ages.

Dracula's Brunch Club is a fun middle grade graphic novel about Dracula and his love for jelly donuts. The cover didn't really reflect the inside book for me, but it was still a delight! Very quirky humor that would be great for the younger side of middle grade readers. I did feel like it was a bit too long for a book about jelly donuts, but the illustrations were great and kept me reading. Thanks to NetGalley, Brian Gonsar, and Oni Press for the chance to read and review! My opinions are my own!

I thought the art style was going to be a little more vibrant based on the cover, but it was overall underwhelming. I'm sure the target audience will enjoy it - it was not for me.

I had a lot of fun reading this graphic novel. As a girl who loves all things spooky and Halloween, I immediately knew I was going to love this read. And boy was I right! The artist did such a phenomenal job of putting a cute and unique spin on the classic Dracula tale. As well as incorporating a delectable delight of humor and wit that had me chuckling across every page. The added mystery element to the plot was definitely a plus too. I highly recommend this read for anyone looking to dive into a funny, mysterious, and wholesome story!
