This was a book that I just couldn't put down and wound up finishing in one sitting! It was filled with thought-provoking plot, well-timed puns, and, of course, jelly donuts. Dracula hosts a brunch club that is almost completely ruined by his enemy, but Dracula demonstrates good problem-solving skills and reminds everyone why humans and vampires get along so well. My library has already ordered copies of this graphic novel. I will definitely recommend it, especially to the middle-grade range, because it is a light read with elements of mystery and humor as well as great illustrations.

Really fun graphic novel where baking meets the undead, with a good mix of humor and adventure! Love the illustrations and they truly made me hungry for donuts.

thanks to netgalley and the publisher for access to an eARC! all opinions are my own.
this was just delightful. such a great time. the art was absolutely beautiful, the story so much fun, i even got hungry while reading it. this was such a breeze to read, just what i needed. definitely recommend!

Sweet and fun, a wonderful spin on the Dracula storyline, with community and heart at its center! An incredibly fun and sweet read.

So, how DID the undead acquire a taste for blood? If vampires are your -jam-, check out this fun title from Brian Gonsar, which provides some answers, alongside endearing puns and even more endearing friendships. Boasting great, expressive art and a fast-paced story, the book was likely written with middle-grade readers in mind; fans of Hotel Transylvania and Adventure Time's Marceline the Vampire would fare well here, as would adult fans of What We Do In the Shadows who are looking for something new to sink their teeth into.

Okay, so I just finished flipping through Dracula’s Brunch Club by Brian Gonsar and Keenan Gaybba, and man, this graphic novel is like if the classic vampire tale got a sugar rush and crashed a bakery party. It’s a middle-grade comic that’s all about Count Dracula—but not the broody, cape-flapping bloodsucker you’re used to. Nah, this guy’s got a serious baking obsession, running a brunch club in Transylvania where his secret weapon is these killer blood-orange-jelly donuts that keep the vampire crowd powered up and immortal (without all the messy biting, at least at first).
The plot kicks off when Dracula comes back from a jelly donut world tour to find his club’s been hijacked by his smug nemesis, Constantine, who’s turned it into a humans-not-welcome snoozefest with kale smoothies or whatever. Worse, there’s a weird shortage of those magic blood oranges, folks are vanishing from town, and Dracula’s gotta team up with his human chef buddy Elena to sleuth it out before everything goes fangs-up. It’s got mystery, a dash of spooky vibes, and tons of punny humor—like, “not just jelly donuts at stake” level stuff—that’ll make you groan and grin.
The art by Gaybba is super fun, with this retro ‘90s cartoon feel that’s colorful in a moody, nighttime way (lots of blues and purples, fitting for vamps). The characters are quirky and expressive—Dracula’s got this dorky charm, Elena’s the cool sidekick you root for, and Constantine’s the perfect over-the-top villain. It’s light on the scares, keeping things silly and gore-free, which makes it perfect for kids dipping into horror without nightmares, or adults wanting a quick, feel-good read. Oh, and bonus: there’s a foreword by Kevin Jonas (yep, of the Jonas Brothers) and back-matter with donut recipes and behind-the-scenes sketches that add extra charm.
Overall, it’s a delightful, bite-sized adventure that’s hilarious and heartwarming. If you’re into vampire twists like Hotel Transylvania or just love a good foodie comedy, grab this—it’s got more flavor than a fresh batch of jelly-filled awesomeness. 4.5 out of 5 fangs!

Such a fun comic book!
It's hilarious and cute at the same time. Vampires, starved for donuts, turn to bloo,d and it all goes downhill from there. A failed brunch, stolen jam, and conspiracy lurking behind! Highly recommend it!

OMG! This was such a goofy, spooky comic! I loved every minute of it and I cannot wait to buy it and read it to my kiddos. This is a perfect fall read and would be easy to re-read every year!

First I must say the art style is delightful. It reminded me of Gravity Falls as well as the story itself, the suspense, the humor, the character's face expressions, their eyes. The story itself was pretty engaging with a hint of mystery that was quite obvious but it didn't take away from the overall enjoyment. I'd like to read more stories from the same universe since I believe this has a potential for series rather than a stand alone comic.

Dracula loves baking - that's all I needed to know going into this one. Blood jelly donuts and the potential loss of his baking business, what a fun romp. I look forward to more from this creator.

I will read anything with a vampire and I am so glad that I received a review copy of this graphic novel.
The story begins in a way that I thought it might be for 8-or 9-year old children. And then it gets a bit "darker." Definitely middle school, more toward the older students than the younger. Sensitive children/pre-teens may not enjoy this story, so I recommend a parent read beforehand.
The novel begins with Dracula returning from a long trip where he was a celebrity chef. His specialty, blood orange donuts. He shares them with his fellow vampires and the local humans. Everyone gets along great. However, while he was gone, Constantine takes over the brunch club and actively works to escalate tensions between vampires and humans.
I won't ruin the story, but it takes an interesting twist and ends on a positive note.

Dracula's Brunch Club is an entertaining graphic novel about a vampire who gets along with humans and unites vampires and humans with his famous jelly donuts at brunch. It tells of his return from a trip in which his absence has led to discord between humans and vampires and how he has to fight injustice and inequality. it's funny, witty and enjoyable.

This was a fun middle grade graphic novel that I think the target audience will drink up! The artwork is beautiful and the story is fun and easy to follow! I would definitely check out more releases from Gonsar in the future!

This was so cute! What an interesting and child friendly introduction to a not so scary monster for children. The illustrations were excellent and the plot was just silly enough to keep it fun while also having a message. A great middle grade graphic novel just in time for spooky season!

Quick and silly middle grade graphic where vampires' main source of sustenance is blood orange jelly-filled donuts. It wasn't laugh-out-loud or anything but was fun enough, and I think late elementary or early middle school would enjoy this.

This new middle grade graphic novel that I received as an advance readers copy from NetGalley is high on the humor and mystery side and low on the horror. Dracula has returned to his village after donut tour of his famous blood orange jelly donuts, but to his surprise another vampire, Constantine, has banned humans from Dracula's Brunch Club, and all his jelly and blood oranges have disappeared. Dracula and his chef have to come up with a new donut with a new ingredient but much to the humans disappointment and illness Constantine and the other vampires decide to ban Drac from the Brunch Club that he founded unless Dracula and his friends can solve the mystery. A fun read that pokes fun at various vampire tropes. Recommended for middle graders that like their monsters on the light side. End notes include recipes for Dracula's donuts.

Thanks NetGalley and Oni Press for this arc!

This was a fun and cute graphic novel all about Dracula and his jelly problems. He's a world renowned chef for hisbjelly doughnuts, but once he comes back from holiday he finds his jelly stores missing, a shipment of doughnuts also missing, and a rival vampire taking over his brunch club and trying to turn everyone against him - and all humans! This was a cute read, with simple and fun artwork and lost of silly puns, which are my fave :P An easy on the brain read, perfect for fall and vampire lovers of all ages

Thank you to NetGalley and Publishers for this ARC
This was such a fun read and will be a fangtastic (not sorry) addition to any bookshelf.
This would be loved for all those from the Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon generation!

Jelly donuts, vampires, and a mysterious jelly shortage come together in this gorgeously illustrated graphic novel.
Count Dracula is famous for his blood orange jelly donuts, humans and vampires love them. When he returns from a trip and realizes all of the blood oranges AND the jelly in the town is missing, he doesn't know what to do. Constantine, a vampire that wants humans and vampires to stay separate is back, and he is trying to turn everyone against Dracula.
Can Dracula figure out how to solve the jelly donut shortage before Constantine can turn everyone against him?
A fun humorous take on vampires and donuts. (I love anything about donuts!) This book also tackles standing up for what's right, inclusivity, and standing together against those that spread hatred.
Recommend for all ages.

What a wonderful plot in this graphic novel, and the artwork! Overall a wonderful story that hit all the spots!
