Dracula's Brunch Club is a colourful, funky comic that follows vampires with famous names like Vlad and Orlok, but above all Count Dracula, the renowned creator of delicious doughnuts. Dracula is about to suffer a disastrous shortage of ingredients and a political U-turn!
This is a very enjoyable read for young readers, with a good touch of humour and a Hotel Transylvania vibe mixed with Gravity Falls.
I wasn't at all expecting the foreword by Kevin Jonas (one of the Jonas Brothers) at the beginning!
Not to mention the little doughnut recipe at the end, which is the icing on the cake!

This was so fun!! What a great middle grade graphic novel - the characters and plot are so fun and the style is perfect too. This is one I'd love to read and re read with time!

What an utter disappointment. The cover is perfection. The idea is perfection. Everything was anything but perfection. I wanted to love this but I simply could not.

I recieved a digital ARC of this graphic novel from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for review.
Dracula’s Brunch Club is a fun graphic novel featuring a Count Dracula returning from his jelly travels to find that not everything has stayed the same in his absence. All the jelly he has sent home is missing and all the fruit crops are dead. What will Dracula do to stay in the Vampire Brunch Club? How will he provide the donuts for the auction?
This graphic novel is so cute and I loved the illustration style. The story was fun and fast-paced. I enjoyed all the characters and the overall plot.

I struggled with this graphic novel. I think the animation and color just didn't fit what I wanted and I found the story slow and a bit boring. I appreciate the humor of a vampire enjoying jelly filled donuts, but the plot didn't come together for me nor capture my interest.

I'd like to start of with saying that I absolutely loved the small punchlines and jokes about being undead, a vampire and with the blood. I had a few chuckle moments! The art feels cozy and fun and is pleasant to read. It's a very fun and original concept and I was super interested in the story all throughout. Loved this graphic novel!

This graphic novel is fun for ALL ages! The artwork is stunning and this graphic novel gave me all the laughs. Dracula was a loveable character and as a fan of vampires, I wholeheartedly am about to make this comic my entire personality!

This would be a fun book to buddy read with your child (or any child!) who likes spooky things and Halloween. The humor was light and the art style felt very nostalgic for me; reading it felt like watching an episode of The Fairly Odd Parents or Danny Phantom. The conflict? Jelly donuts! I mean, how fun. Speaking of jelly, it would be a great exercise to assign kids to count the number of times it’s mentioned in the book, because it’s quite a lot. I could even see a teacher doing this as a challenge for their students. As an adult with no kids, I wasn’t exactly the target audience for reading this, and I did find it quite on the young side (I would like to say this is more for elementary school kids than middle grade), it was still enjoyable and a lighthearted read compared to the big kid spooky books I’m always reading, haha. The humor was good and I enjoyed the funny facial expressions the characters would make. I also liked how there were several different vampires from popular culture featured. Another detail I really appreciated was how consistent the color palette is. There’s lots of kids books out there that are just every bright color under the sun all on one page and it’s kind of an eyesore- but with this one each page has a distinct color palette (with few exceptions) that made it feel smooth and cohesive, and oddly I found it comforting.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this book for kids and think it’s an enjoyable one for adults as well.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me a copy 💜

A fun, humorous read with great characters and a brilliant art style.
I loved the throw back to old school vampires and their lifestyles. The characters were interesting to read about and all were extremely funny.
The plot was great and easy to follow. The perfect comic for kids!

Dracula having a donut brunch club? Sign me up! This was absolutely adorable, funny, and cute. If you like graphic novels, specifically spooky wholesome vampires or food, this is for you! I loved the art style, I loved ALL of the puns, I loved all the banter between the characters. I loved Dracula loving jelly donuts and just jelly in general. I absolutely loved the cover of this, as well. I will be buying a copy when it comes out to read with my son. It is definitely a good autumn read.
Thank you to the illustrators and authors, publishers, and netgalley for this!

A charming graphic novel! I was initially surprised by the different art style compared to the cover but the story style gave me all the nostalgia of watching an old Cartoon Network cartoon from my child hood. The humour is light and the story is suitable for young and adult readers. My son is currently learning and reading more graphic novels and I think he’s enjoy this too (7yr). The additional contact of a real recipe was super cute.

ARC REVIEW (8/12/25): dracula’s brunch club by brian gonsar & illustrated by keenan gaybba 🧛🏻 a comedic graphic novel that reimagines the famous vampire as a restaurateur running a popular brunch spot.
✨ stake it or leave it, all photos in this carousel have already been shared through the interwebs. I promise I’m not a total pain in the neck! enjoy the sneak peek! ✨
love at first bite! it’s been so long since I’ve read a graphic novel & this one didn’t disappoint! we start off with a foreword from kevin jonas… literally one of the jonas brothers 👀 consider me gobsmacked.
🍩 dracula’s brunch club was a wild ride, reminiscent of 90’s cartoons! the color illustrations were beautiful (truly capturing the mood) and kept me equally as invested in the story as the writing. this was all of things: spooky, cozy, goofy & full of jelly filled stakes- pun intended.
if you’re a fan of the hotel transylvania and gravity falls franchises, you will feel right at home here 🖤 I didn’t know until today that I needed vampires & donuts to exist in the same world.
definitely worth the preorder or library request!! thank you oni press for an early copy 🦇 4.5 stars!

A fearsome vampire’s favorite food is a…jelly donut? Readers who dig into this not-so-spooky debut will discover that Count Dracula is quite the donut aficionado. Having recently returned from his worldwide donut tour, Dracula finds that his popular Brunch Club has been taken over by his nefarious rival Constantine, and the ingredients for his famous blood-orange jelly donuts have gone missing. Gonsar infuses his distinct culinary style into the vampire mythos, brimming with references and silly side characters. Together with Gaybba’s illustrations, this adds a Saturday morning cartoon flavor to the story. Some readers may find the story too packed in the middle, but for those seeking a unique graphic novel, this story is something to sink their teeth into.

This was such a delightful read. The drawing style was really cute and it reminded me of the cartoons I used to watch when I was younger, the plot was quite fun and I loved the humour as well!
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an e-arc copy in exchange for an honest review.

This story follows along Dracula, who is determined to bring humans and vampires back together with his donut brunch club. When his club is overtaken by another vampire, he scrambles to find a solution to continue to make his famous jelly donut. This story was really adorable and gave off Hotel Transylvania vibes. While this was definitely a book for middle schoolers, I still enjoyed it.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishing house for an advanced reader's copy of "Dracula's Brunch Club!"
I adored this. Between the art style reminding me of early Cartoon Network days, and the light-hearted twist on vampires and their brunch, this was a fun read. I rally liked the plot between Dracula and Elena too, with her dad not believing he was a vampire until the very end. I liked how the blood was a secondary energy source, and they all preferred jelly donuts.
I really loved this read.

Thanks Netgalley and publisher for allowing me to read this graphic novel for free.
Now I will admit, I went in here blind not knowing that I requested a child’s book…. Story is way too simple for me which obviously I’m not the exact age group. The only positive here really is the art as it looks nostalgic as if I was watching cartoons on Cartoon Network as a kid all over again.
Btw I want the “bloody” donut 🍩

Thank you NetGalley and Oni Press for this arc.
4.5 Stars
This was exactly the vibe I look for in a graphic novel and hoped from the cover.
It's a fun interesting read with a spin on vampires diet and a story of acceptance of all types of people.
If you also enjoyed graphic novels like Garlic and the Vampire I would really recommend this for you.

**Review: *Dracula’s Brunch Club* by Conan & Brian Gonzar**
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3.75–4 stars)
*Dracula’s Brunch Club* was such a fun ride — I definitely liked it and think it deserves more attention! To start with, the vibe of this graphic novel is *cinematic*. The artwork is a solid 10/10 — vibrant, expressive, and full of personality. I couldn’t help but imagine it as an animated movie while reading. In fact, this book gave me strong *Hotel Transylvania* vibes in the best way possible. If you're a fan of that franchise, you’ll likely feel right at home here. It feels almost like a spiritual continuation or a spin-off, with a familiar sense of humor, spooky charm, and endearing characters.
The villain, the hero, even some of the side characters — all of them felt like nods to the *Hotel Transylvania* world, at least to me. Whether it was intentional or not, it totally worked and added an extra layer of nostalgia and enjoyment for me as a fan of that universe.
Story-wise, it’s a quick read, but I did feel it could’ve been a little tighter. Around 20-25 pages could have been trimmed to improve the pacing. That said, I still flew through it in a day. The characters were entertaining, and the quirky supernatural twist kept things interesting.
All in all, it’s a fun, easy-to-enjoy book with a lovable spooky flair. Not the most groundbreaking story, but definitely a worthwhile read. If you’re in the mood for something light, funny, and visually appealing, give this a go!

If you need a lighthearted read, this one is it! I definitely was not the target audience, but sometimes you need to read something fun and cute! Also, who doesn't love a good jelly donut!
I am definitely going to recommend this to my library's children librarian!
