I'm sorry, but I had to DNF this. The adult-teen situation was problematic. Without it/making Alexander older, this may have been a fun read.

ADA Jamie has felt her passion for prosecuting sex-crimes because of the suicide of her best friend Gina and her own trauma. In one case she meets Alex who's family is tied to the Russian mob. The legal aspects are similar to courtroom dramas that you see on television with pacing that keeps your attention.
Halfway through Jamie's inner voice and eventual actions hint at a crush on this 16 year old witness which is jarring to read. From a clinical standpoint given my background in higher education, it's true that some survivors have distorted boundaries but this leaves an uncomfortable residue during the read. Luckily a rival prosecutor pokes around and may find out about these interactions.
The ending of the book ties everything in together; mob gets punished, careers change for the better, etc.
The problematic adult-teen situation makes it hard for me to recommend to others without a very firm content warning. I would trim down that subplot or even make Alexander older. If that would have been the case, it would have been a solid and exciting novel for me.
