It's not a bad book, but not a super great one either. It felt repetitive and long. Some of the characters werent likable at all and i was annoyed that Eden had to deal with them. Lol! I really enjoy the music aspect of the book and characters. I think if it was a good bit shorter I would have enjoyed it even more.

Congratulations to the author on the book and wishing you all the success in future writings.

Much love & readings,
Lauren B. Haines

I enjoyed this title and thought the mix of music and STEM was well done. The writing was good, making the book move along incredibly. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

Quick Summary: An opposites attract, rocker romance

My Review: I Want You To Want Me by Mary Ann Marlowe is book #1 in The Most Wanted Series.

About the Book: "A rock star romance with a STEM twist."

In My Own Words: A biochemist meets a rockstar in a bar...

About the Characters:

I couldn't get a good handle on the cast of characters, especially when considering a setup for a series. Additionally, I felt some kind of way about Eden's friends. One was pushy and the other was vindictive, which made them rather unlikable. Regarding the band, I didn't walk away feeling like I really knew them or their personalities.

About the Couple:

In terms of Adam and Eden, they definitely had insta-heat, however, their whirlwind romance's state of conflict fell flat. Their problematic "issue" became this big thing that just wasn't big.

What I Liked/Loved:

- I loved the idea of a rocker entering into a relationship with a scientist.

- I liked the Love Potion #9 concept.

- I liked the brother and sister bond; they supported each other unconditionally.

- I liked that Eden found her voice, in a sense, eventually standing up for herself.

What I Did Not Like/Understand:

- One aspect of the story that kept repeating itself eventually became somewhat irritating, as I continued to read. It was brought up too often and began to weigh the story down. (I will not go into further detail, so as to avoid spoilers.)

- I did not understand why after finally letting her voice be heard, in terms of her mother, Eden seemed to fold. It did not make sense to draw a line in the sand then apologize for it so quickly.

- I don't know that I fully understood the why behind Kelly's actions.

- I did not like Eden and Micah's parents, particularly the mother...for so many reasons.

- I did not understand the distorted expectations or tolerances the Sinclairs had, regarding their offspring. There was a double standard at hand.

My Final Say: I liked this book, but I did not love it. It was interesting in that it came across as vague, all while attempting to be precise. It was a mixed bag read, in my opinion.

Other: Readers who enjoy entertainment-based romances, will they or won't they love stories, ONS to forever scenarios, and STEM situationships with a twist may like this book.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

It's not bad, but not particularly great. It feels repetitive making it just a tad but long. Some of the side characters are very unlikable and had me annoyed that Eden put up with them. The whole mess with the perfume felt kind of juvenile. I did enjoy the music aspect though. Music us such a great representation of emotions, and this book utilized that well. I actually adored Adam and Micah. I think if it was just a little shorter I would have enjoyed it more.

I found I Want You to Want Me to be a very enjoyable read. I like both Eden and Adam, but especially Adam. What a strong MMC! Eden had to work on herself for their relationship to work, but it was a believable love story for me with one of them being famous. Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy for review.

I really, really wanted to like this book, but boy Eden was not a likable person at all. She's insecure to the point of ridiculousness. She judges Adam all the time. The drama seemed forced. Adam was the only saving grace in this book.

Quick entertaining and a bit emotional of a read. As a dual POV, I Want You to Want Me isn’t just the worker of this book, it’s the main theme from both of the characters thoughts. I adore Eden and Adam’s story, filled with happy fun moments, and a couple of heartbreaking ones as well. It definitely left me more emotional than I realized it was going to, but not in a bad way at all since I kind of love sad sappy angsty parts of books.

I didn’t realize until after I finished the book and was looking into this series that the entire series has already been published, and these are all being re-released with new titles, not sure of anything in them as changed as I never previously read them, but looking at the old titles and then the new title for this book, the new titles are most likely much better.

I received a copy of this from NetGalley, I hesitate to refer to it as an ARC as like I said it’s been published previously, however what you want to refer to it as I did receive it from them but read it and enjoyed it enough to come leave this review
