Amanda and her 2 children have moved home, sight unseen, in an attempt to escape her abusive husband, Mike. Although not the luxury her and her children are used to, they make do and are safe. 11 year old Jordan is extremely angry, and seems he will stop at nothing to see his dad, even risking the safety of his mother.
New neighbour Caroline is quick to head over to introduce herself to the new residents, and is watching their every move. There are secrets on their perfect street, and residents would like to keep it that way.
Told in multiple POVs, there is plenty of drama, lies and betrayal throughout this domestic thriller. Reminded me a little of Desperate Housewives, and all the secrets that street wanted to keep to themselves. Narrator Taryn Ryan did a grand job and kept me hooked throughout.
Thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

is a tense domestic thriller exploring themes of escaping abuse, hidden secrets, and the clash between community and privacy. The story follows Amanda, who flees a violent marriage with her children, only to find that her new street harbours its own dangers and deceptions. Through multiple points of view, Trope weaves together the personal struggles of flawed, believable characters, balancing emotional depth with page‑turning suspense. While some plot turns feel predictable early on, the tension steadily builds and the later twists hit hard. This is an emotional, character‑driven mystery that thrives on neighbourhood intrigue. In short: a mother seeking safety discovers that suburbia’s polished veneer hides just as much darkness as the life she left behind.

Loved this one! Emotional, tense, and so hard to put down. The characters felt real and the story had just the right mix of drama and heart. I absolutely love Nicole Trope books!

Welcome to West Street is a story that gradually sucks you in and doesn’t let go until the twisted conclusion. This book proves that evil comes in many unexpected forms. Everyone on West Street has secrets. When those secrets are revealed things take a deadly, surprising turn. No one is innocent on this deceivingly welcoming street. The narration expertly captures the characters, bringing the story to life. Thank you, NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for sharing this audiobook.

This high quality audio draws you in from the beginning. as we focus on the new arrivals to west street. A mother has arrived with her two children she has left her husband while he is away on a business trip. The street is full of strong female characters who each have their own secrets. Its fun learning these and the dynamics of the street. The pacing however felt a bit off in the first half like i was waiting for something to happen and i did not know what. Nothing is at it seems there is plenty of tension once the story gets going. I found the son annoying and the final reveal omg worth it just for that. This felt more about the dynamics of the women than a family. This is a worthwhile listen for all thriller lovers. Thank you netgallery, publisher author and narrator

I found I couldn’t get into this audiobook not sure if it was the narration that bothered me or the story didn’t grab my attention either way this was a DNF for me.
I would like to try the print version and see if I would respond differently

Welcome to West Street is an entertaining domestic thriller about secrets causing chaos on a suburban street. This was a very quick and entertaining listen with great narration.

I enjoyed the audiobook of Welcome to West Street written by Nicole Trope and narrated by Taryn Ryan. It begins with the story of Amanda., a mother of two who is escaping an abusive relationship. She moves to West Street because it is the kind of quiet neighborhood that she is looking for to start her new life with her kids. She soon meets her new neighbors, and the chapters begin to alternate between their points of view. The reader is privy to the secrets of the characters, but we still don’t know everything! There are many twists and turns along the way and the ending is certainly a surprise.
Although the same narrator reads the parts of all the different characters, each chapter begins with her stating the name of the character which helped me keep track of whose point of view I was listening to. The narrator did a great job with portraying each character’s persona.
I will definitely be checking out more books by Nicole Trope! Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC of this audiobook.

In Welcome to West Street, by Nicole Trope, the trader sees a mother starting over in a jew neighborhood with her children. But things aren’t always what they seem. This mother and her new neighbors have secrets that could destroy them all. As the plot unfolds, there are many twists. The narrator brings to life characters to produce a book that compels until the end! I will be on the lookout for more works from this author.

This story was such an unexpected surprise! When I started this book, I had no inkling that it would end the way it did!
Amanda and her two children are on the run from her abusive husband, and she's packed up their things and found a humble abode on West Street. While it's not the luxury she and her children are accustomed to, they are safe. Yet her son, Jordan, is very upset about having to leave his dad and will stop at nothing to be reunited with him, even risking his mother's safety.
Amanda quickly meets her neighbors who welcome her and her children with open arms. But what are the lengths that these neighbors will go to to protect their street and their secrets? From the reclusive woman next door to the nosy neighbor with her own pain tucked away behind judgment, every character felt real and flawed. Caroline was the nosey neighbor, Mary was in her own world most of the time, and Gemma appears to be hiding something. The secrets these neighbors are hiding blew my mind! I thoroughly enjoyed the fast paced plot and character development as I watched the details unfold.
There was plenty of drama, lies, secrets and betrayal in this twisty domestic thriller. Just when I thought I knew what was going on, another twist came and changed my perception of everyone and everything. This one was so good! Taryn Ryan did a great job narrating and keeping fully invested.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for the ALC in exchange for my honest review.

This one totally surprised me—in the best way! It was a quick, easy read that I breezed through in a day (because who needs sleep when the narrators are all shady and suspicious?). Told through multiple POVs, the story had me second-guessing everyone. You know that feeling when you’re sure you’ve cracked it, only for the next chapter to be like, “Nice try”? Yep, that happened. The narrators were unreliable in all the best, twisty ways—kept me on my toes till the end. If you enjoy chaotic minds and piecing puzzles together, this one’s your jam.

Welcome to West Street by Nicole Trope is an enjoyable neighborhood thriller. I found it to be predictable and guessed what happens pretty early on. It is an entertaining story full of secrets… so many secrets.
Taryn Ryan did an excellent job with the narration.
Multiple POV. Thank you to NetGalley & Bookouture Audio for letting me read this ARC.

Thank you @NetGalley and @BookoutureAudio for the ALC. I enjoyed this book very much. It was a fast paced thriller that kept me guessing to the end. Amanda and her children flee to a new town to get away from her abusive husband. She feels this could be a new start but her son is angry and makes her life harder and the new neighbors are not happy about the attention he brings when he runs away. Seems everyone has a secret on this street.

Amanda has had enough of her abusive husband and decides to leave with their two children while he's on a business trip. She moves to a seemingly lovely community. She remains in fear her husband will find them. As time goes on, she grows uneasy at the tight knit group of neighbors. The ending will completely shock you!! Nicole Trope is becoming one of my favorite thriller writers.

Thank you to Netgalley, the author, and Bookouture for the ALC in exchange for a review.
‘Welcome! I hope you’ll be happy here,’ I say, standing on the doorstep and holding out a freshly baked cake. Amanda smiles but it doesn’t reach her eyes. The new arrivals to West Street clearly have secrets. But that’s okay. Because so do I…
Caroline twitches aside her curtains to see the new family moving in. A mother – beautifully dressed in expensive clothes – and two young children. Where is her husband, she wonders? And why are they moving in to the smallest house on the street? They really don’t seem the type.
But Caroline believes it’s important to be welcoming. It’s important to know everything that’s happening on West Street.
Amanda unpacks another box and breathes a shaky sigh. Her son is refusing to speak. Her daughter misses her friends. But we’re safe, Amanda tells herself. Her neighbor Caroline seems nice, if a little nosy. And most importantly, West Street is peaceful. Anonymous. Nobody knows who she is… do they?
But can Amanda really trust anyone on West Street? And can they trust her? Because when her secrets catch up with her…
For fans of Desperate Housewives, this is your book/audio! I was a faithful fan back when you had to wait each week for a new episode and sit through commercials so maybe it made me a little more patient for this story to pick up speed. While a little predictable, it was a great 🍿 thriller with some crazy and some compassion sprinkled in.

Enjoyable listen! This is a gripping narrative that has tension weaving all the way throughout the story. Well written and very intense characters held my intrigue right up until the explosive ending, where there were several mind-blowing twists that were completely unexpected! Overall 4 stars!

Nicole is one of my favorite authors. I really enjoy her books, but this one was not it for me. It was written really well. I enjoyed the characters. I just felt like the plot was not a big twist or jaw dropping. I did like the book it just wasn't my favorite.

Lots of twists and turns, family drama and domestic abuse, it was my first book by Nicole Trope, I really enjoyed it and look forward to another book by this author!

Exciting and I love this kind of neighborhood soapy drama. When you don’t know who to trust, it’s a start of a good and gripping thriller.
All the personalities of the characters are very relatable in real life. The various struggles in the different families, the relationship between the married couples and also with the neighbour. Everything works well in the story.
