We are rocketed back into Grateful Knight's world right where Queen of the Hill left off. This was one hell of a ride, and I am so thankful that I was able to review this absolutely phenomenal book!

Grateful Knight is having issues with her caregiver, Rick. And they aren't every day problems. Without her blood, and physical contact between Rick, and Grateful, her powers are diminishing, and she seems to be the only one that can't see it. Her familiar, Poe, warns her that she needs to be careful when she goes out on her nightly patrols alone. She doesn't listen though, and is attacked by silver haired goblins that make her question her own powers.

With help of friends, Grateful survives the attack, and goes back to Monk Hill where Rick is waiting for her. Without Rick, she finally realizes that her life is more in danger than she could have ever imagined. When Grateful makes the decision to visit her mother, Hecate, all sorts of questions pop up that make the reader want to rush through the book. Does Rick gain his memories back?! Does Grateful have the chance to gain her powers back!?

Make sure you pick up Book 1, Ghost in the Graveyard, as this is not a standalone, and requires that the books be read in order.

Genevieve Jack has done a wonderful job on the Knight Series. From Book 1, Grateful has proved to be a strong female role that takes charge. While he has Rick as her caregiver, and he is the strong male role in this series, don't let that fool you. Grateful is a great role model, and I really loved that Genevieve brought this entire series to the table. It is sad seeing this series end, but it went out with a bang, and I give it a strong 5 Bars.

I will be revisiting this series this year, and look forward to meeting Grateful Knight, Rick, and Poe - along with others! - all over again.
