Dating After the End of the World was my first Jeneva Rose book and I loved it. After a zombie apocalypse and her fiancé ditching her, Cassie has to return to her doomsday prepper father's house in order to survive after staying away for 10 years but finds her father is now best friends with the boy who made her life hell growing up. Let me just say, I love a zombie apocalypse story - and a zombie apocalypse romance is everything right in this world. This book strikes the perfect balance of funny, heartwarming, murdery, and heartbreaking. My only qualm is that I wanted more yearning from Blake. Otherwise, I did see the twists coming but that didn't make the book any less enjoyable. Thank you Net Galley and Montlake for the eARC!

Love it! This genre was so unique. Every time I would spend time reading it, I could just picture Jeneva as the main character.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC. I started reading Jeneva’s and was thrilled to learn she lived locally. She has quickly become one of my favorite authors. I would read her grocery list.
I never thought I would be one to read a zombie apocalypse book, but this one pulled me in from the start. This book gave me all the feels. An action packed enemies to lovers.
Highly recommend this book, even if zombies aren’t your thing. Jeneva’s personality shines right through.

Thanks to NetGalley I had early access to this book. As an avid lover of Jeneva I will read whatever she decides to publish even if it’s about the apocalypse! Even with burners and nomes she held true to her Jeneva ways and delivered an incredible book that leaves you desperate to read 6 more! As a part of her flock of geese I may be a tad biased, but she’s truly become my favorite author and I cannot wait for the next book, or 20!

Love every book by Jeneva Rose even apocalyptic books. There was so much in this book- you have enemies to lovers romance, zombies, family drama, humor, some broken trust, and more. I loved the characters in this story so well written and witty. This was thrilling and fun to read!

Wow! How do I even begin? This book made me cringe, laugh, cry, and gasp! I loved all the emotions I got while reading this extremely well written book. I have read all of her books and was lucky enough to get an ARC of this thanks to NetGalley. I did not want to put this book down as it had me needing to know what happened next at the end of each chapter. This book was so descriptive that I felt like I was the MC the entire read. This book comes out in September and I highly recommend you preorder it! Amazing job once again Jeneva!

WOW is an understatement!!
I love all of Jeneva’s books but went into this one thinking I would probably be disappointed since I’m really not into anything post apocalyptic but omg I loved it and didn’t want it to end!! From beginning to end the book keeps you hooked. I NEED the next book ASAP!! Well done Jeneva!!!

Thank you NetGalley, Montlake, and Jeneva Rose for opportunity to read this ARC!
When I read Jeneva’s comment saying this book is “unhinged”, I knew it would be a fun ride. I can honestly say I never expected to read, (and enjoy) an apocalyptic enemies to lovers story.
The enemies to lovers portion was multi-faceted, considering there was a past and present at play in the story. The tension was palpable and you know what they say, the line between love and hate can be so very thin. Their banter did not disappoint!
There is one character in the story that I think we will all love to hate. Utterly pretentious and perfectly written for the part.
The descriptions Jeneva used regarding the Zombies was gag worthy at times. I felt myself cringing from disgust. 👏 I think the gross visuals added the right element to the apocalyptic environment to help you remember this isn’t just a fluffy romance.
The *Twist* was good, and unexpected!

Enemies to lovers during a zombie apocalypse?! Jeneva Rose is one of my absolute favorite authors right now so I was very excited to get the ARC through Netgalley.
This book was just a good time! It has romance, betrayal, family drama, humor and zombies! It's not what she normally writes and I really do appreciate not being able to take this read too seriously.
Casey has childhood trauma that comes from her prepper dad. She spent summer after summer prepping for the end of the world. Of course she knew they would never have to use it. As an adult Casey has made a life for herself in Chicago while cutting off all communication with her father. One day everything is normal in the hospital where she works but suddenly the hospital is overrun with patents. When the chaos of helping patients is at his highest, she notices something alarming! ZOMBIES! This CAN'T be happening! Casey and her Fiancé decide to hide out in their apartment for a while. Before they know it, Chicago isn't safe anymore and they need to leave their home. With no place to turn Casey starts her trip back home in this new world that she was sure would never be.
When she arrives home, Casey is surprised to see not only her father but other survivors as well as her enemy.....

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. This book was an interesting read because I am not at all a fan of zombies or post apocalyptic worlds, but it kept my attention and I enjoyed the banter and dark humor. Fun read that I think many people will enjoy!
Overall the story was good and fast paced and despite some of the characters being a little over the top annoying I thought this was a fun read and will look forward to more from this author.

TW: gore, lots of gore
Thank you, net galley, for letting me get my hands on this early! I surprisingly enjoyed this one and that’s saying a lot because I’m not a zombie anything type of girl. This had the perfect mix of thrill, laughs, tender moments, and an enemies to lovers storyline. There was a lot of descriptive gore, so be warned.

So I want to start off by thanking Netgalley and Montlake for the advanced reader copy of this book. I am such a fan of zombies- if a zombie apocalypse is happening I want to read about it or watch it etc. There was a lot I liked here - it was fun, loved Casey, enjoyed all the battles and gore and sense of community. I just had such a difficult time with the romance in this book - enemies to lovers is for me but I’m not sure if former bully to lovers is. Maybe I don’t have the right level of forgiveness in my heart - but I just couldn’t get there to loving Blake the way Casey did or cheering for them to be together.
This book is a lot of fun - and I really enjoyed it. If I hadn’t struggled with the romance between these two characters it would have easily been a 4.5 star read. So if bully’s to lovers doesn’t bother you or if you have a more forgiving spirit then me - I’m sure this will hit a real sweet spot.

Dating After the End of the World was a quick an entertaining read! It has pretty much everything... romance, action, zombies, violence, drama and emotion. The characters are likeable and I found myself unable to stop reading because I wanted to know what happened next and what happened to them.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me this ARC.

❤️Zombies
❤️Doomsday prepping

❤️Forced proximity (end of the world style)
🌶️ Spice!
This is officially my favorite Jeneva Rose book to date! It’s action-packed, funny, spicy, heartwarming, and had me on the best of emotional roller coasters throughout the whole story!
The best parts of my recent days have been the moments I’ve spent cozied up with these quirky characters and all of the new kinds of zombies created in this story. No-memory zombies, biters, and the worst kind of monster… the douchebag ex. 😅
Jeneva Rose has such a magical way of making you invested in her characters in the most original ways. I’ve read so many books, but always feel like her books bring something fresh and exciting every 👏 single 👏 time!
A MASSIVE thank you to #NetGalley and Montlake publishing for the chance to read this story in exchange for an honest review. It was a total blast!

I recieved an ARC from Netgalley.
Omg... I just finished the ARC of Dating After the End of the World. I laughed quite a few times, was on the edge of my seat w zombie battles, I got BIG mad w a plot twist and cried at the end. Omigod it was FANTASTIC. I told my book club (20+ people) and they are all so mad I recommended a book that doesn't come out until September. This will be ordered and 100% going on my trophy shelf ASAP!
I think i may go reread it... Jeneva, you knocked this one out of the park!

This read like Walking Dead fanfic with original characters, but honestly I was so here for it. The story was a fun apocalypse romcom, with lots of action and excitement.
The premise of this story started out really fun for me, but I didn’t love that the main character’s love interest was her high school bully. I’m 100% here for enemies to lovers, but straight up bullying feels too hard to come back from for me, and that made it hard to get on board with their relationship.
The “big twist” was also very predictable. I wouldn’t normally care in a romance, but I know the author writes thrillers as well. Regardless, it was still a fun read and very entertaining.
Read if you like: Zombie movies, badass women
Thanks to Netgalley and Montlake for providing me with a copy of the book.

I really enjoyed this book. I found it to be a really quick read and I did finish it in a day. I felt like Casey was a little immature during some points. Casey's dad was really relatable. I loved her best friend Tessa, she is a true ride or die. This book made me laugh and made me cry. I really liked that every single women in this book was able to hold their own and not rely on the men.

Thank you so much to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this arc in exchange for an honest review!
Dating After The End of The World is not a book I would usually go for but I love Jeneva Rose so I thought I should give it a try and boy am I glad I did. I really enjoyed this book! It’s like an apocalyptic romance with zombies! It was so good I wish that it was longer! I really enjoyed this book and stepping my toes into a different type of book! I hope we get more books like this from Jeneva in the future!

YES.
Just… YES.
I love Jeneva’s books, but this one was so different from the rest.
Enemies to lovers…. Check!
Apocalypse…. Check!
Zombies everywhere…. Check!
This was such a fun book to read, I loved every second of it. It kept me HOOKED the entire time.
Casey grew up with her dad being a doomsday pepper. She was constantly ridiculed and made fun of as a child. Her biggest bully? Blake. He took every chance he had to make her life awful. Until he didn’t. Miraculously, their senior year, he made her change her mind and she fell in love with him. Only to have her let him down again and humiliate her beyond belief.
When the world actually does come to an end, Casey heads back home to her father and finds that he’s become besties with her biggest enemy. Blake has not only sunk his claws into Casey’s dad, he has moved into her childhood bedroom. Of course she has to share a bedroom with him.
Casey and Blake have to learn how to get along in order to stay alive. Life-threatening situations make them start to see one another more clearly and maybe even makes them feel things that they don’t want to admit they feel.
Out 9/30/25 🧟♂️
Thank you @jenevaroseauthor and @netgalley for the ARC!

This is not a book I would typically read, however I have enjoyed every single book Jeneva Rose has written. This book did not disappoint! The banter between the main characters Casey and Blake were hilarious in typical Jeneva Rose style. You do have to be willing to embrace the whole zombie/apocalypse trope, however, there is very cute love story in the mix. Parts were a little gory at times, but then I found myself laughing on the next page. Some spice, but not a ton. There is a very good balance throughout the book. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting a lighthearted, easy read that will keep you entertained. Solid 4 star read for me.
Much thanks to Jeneva Rose, Montlake, and NetGalley for allowing me an advanced copy of this book.
