The premise hooked me right away- doomsday-pepper dad builds a compound, so when the apocalypse happens he has everything he and his daughter need. His now older doctor daughter returns to the compound only to find her high school bully is hunkering down. Overall the zombie scenes were well written, and it felt like a book you could easily read in one sitting. I liked the banter, though I do wish there had been more lead up from the prepping to the apocalypse itself. It felt like a book that could be a series if the author wanted.
