Another stellar edition to this riveting series.

A strength of this author has always been her description and development of her characters they are all unique with their own individual characters and they compliment each other to a tee.

I have learnt since reading this book that it was connected to a case that was investigated in book one (I joined the series at book four) but I feel enough detail was given to be able to follow the case.

Fast paced, action packed, intently engaging read.

This is the eighth book in the Detective Rob Miller Mystery series by @author_bibapearce. However, this is the first of her books I have read. I didn't realise when I requested this book on netgalley that this book features a returning storyline from the first book in the series. However, having finished the Putney Bridge Killer, I don't feel like this book couldn't be read in isolation. However, I'm sure reading the Thames Path Killer would fill in some questions I have.

The story follows DCI Rob Miller who is called to a murder scene below Putney Bridge, only to realise this murder echoes some previous murders. However DCI Miller killed the Surrey Stalker five years ago during the investigation. Did he get the wrong man, or is this a copycat?

I found this book a fast paced thriller which delighted all the way to the end with suspense building all the way through. The plot was well thought out and planned. I really enjoyed how all the threads came together. Overall a great read and I look forward to going back to the beginning of this series!! This book is out now!

This is another excellent police procedural in a smashing series which has become one of my favourites. The plot is clever and full of surprises for both the reader and the detectives alike, and features a very likeable team of officers, especially Rob and young Trent who I’m glad has made the move from Marlow. It was interesting to see Rob having to revisit the horrors of his first big case and Det Supt Felicity Mayhew came over as a lot more vulnerable and human than previously. Jo also made a great addition to the investigation and it’s clear why she and Rob are such a good match. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can recommend it for anyone who wants a gripping read to keep them completely hooked till the end!

This was a thrilling read right from the start of the book. This is the first time I have read this author but it certainly won’t be the last as her level of detail is immense and she plots a story well. I got into the story straight from the start and found the story to be very intense. It was written really well and the plotting was superb. The characters were interesting and we learnt about the Murder Investigation Team although this is book eight which I thought was good. I liked the author’s writing style and found it easy to get into. The synopsis drew me to the story and I most certainly wasn’t disappointed by this story as it was a brilliant read. The story is very detailed with a lot of descriptive text. I look forward to reading more of the books in this series.

DCI Rob is in charge of the investigation of the brutal murder of a young woman whose body is found under Putney Bridge. Clearly there is a sick villain at work but when the murder starts to mirror murders from five years ago, things begin to get very strange. A second murder that mimics another from the same killer proves one of two things. The first one has Rob, his team and everyone else wondering if the first perp was the right guy, sending shock waves all over London. The second says it is a copycat who has access to some very sensitive documents. In other words, there is a leak. After some questioning what Rob knows to be true, they realize this is someone with the vendetta to ruin Rob’s reputation and get off on some very sadistic “jollies”.

This book is filled with tensions that build and build. I suspected the killer but I had no idea of the what or the why. That was an absolute stunner. The suspense did not let up until the very end and it was a nail biter. The characters are great. Intelligent, dedicated, insightful and human. It made for a thrilling read that kept me up past my bedtime because I just had to see how it ended. Five purrs and two paws up.

A fast paced plot with intriguing twists and turns. Full of suspense right up to the end. I guessed the identity of the copycat killer quite early on but that didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the book. Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for allowing me to read this book.

I love Biba Pearce novels and was really disappointed when I had difficulty downloading it from Netgalley to my Kindle. However, with a lot of perseverance I managed to get it on my ipad and it was well worth the effort. Exciting, nail biting and lots of twists and turns. A gripping read which, I was pleased to learn, is part of an ongoing series. You can read it as stand alone, but the characters are really engaging so, like me, you may want to go back and read the previous books. It’s a strong police procedural, reading almost like a true crime account at times, and has a sense of atmosphere almost like noir detective thrillers. A really good read.

I enjoyed this book and found it easy to get into. I liked the pace and thought the story flowed well. The different narrators give perspective to the story and allow readers to get a glimpse of the characters’ personalities and personal lives alongside the solving of the crime. However, I found the inclusion of the victims sections a bit weird and not really necessary. Overall, a solid crime thriller. I can imagine it being a good holiday read.

First novel I have read from this author and it didn’t disappoint. Enjoyable from the first to last page. Plenty of twists and turns to keep me enthralled. Well rounded characters and very well written. Look forward to her next offering. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to review it.

I love me some detective books. I read this as a standalone and now I think I need to read the others. This one was great and this case I think was great. The book was well written. Now off to read the others!

Is this a copycat, did Rob kill the wrong man? And who is leaking police information to the public?

This is an excellent police procedural, the plot is interesting, the characters well fleshed out. It can easily be read as a stand alone but it's a good series and I do recommend checking out this book and others in the series. 4 out of 5 stars.

A good murder mystery which is a real puzzle with lots of twists and clues. It works well as a standalone but probably best to read the series in order for full enjoyment.

Ah this was amazing. This book fulfilled all my suspense and thriller needs. Gritty, not obvious...I was gripped right until the end and left wanting more.

I have really enjoyed the previous books in this series and The Putney Bridge Killer is a great addition to a very good series. The story begins well and I was quickly drawn into the story and its characters. I've always liked the main character, Rob Miller and he and his team are tested here when a historic case returns to haunt them and puts them under heavy scrutiny. The writing is very good and engaging and the story flows well. The plot is intricate with lots of different threads that grabbed my attention and had me wondering what would happen next. Biba Pearce certainly knows how to connect with her readers and I think this is a cracker of a read full of tension and suspense. I really liked how the story ended, it sets up the next book perfectly and I for one will definitely be wanting to read it. If you like police procedurals I woukd recommend this book, although would say if you're new to this author read the previous books in order to get to know the characters and their histories from the start.

The eighth outing in the Detective Rob Bridge series of mysteries finds Miller called to a brutal scene - all the more concerning as it mirrors almost exactly the crimes of a previous killer. As the body count rises and media attention escalates, Miller works against the clock. With a well drawn cast and a pacy, gritty plot, this is a worthy addition to the overall series.
