Ambivalent feelings about this one.

Less of a Resurrection, more of the same old. With some new faces in old roles.

Compared to the last book, it's an improvement. But that's not saying much.

You have your usual political scheming, Russians, British Secret Service and The Twelve shenanigans, convoluted plot, jealousy, Villanelle and Eve, love, sadness, another woman (this time from MI6), a new handler, and the nearly infinite descriptions of sky colors and beautiful landscapes.

Dialogue is a tricky thing in these books. Sometimes, you find yourself asking 'Nobody talks like that in real life, do they?' But then these are fictional characters. Not that that is an excuse for bad dialogue. But still, some of it gets a pass. Although, what doesn't get a pass is the repetitiveness.

Chapters are short, though. That's a welcome departure from the previous books. There is some good character development in this. Especially for Oxana.

It was already jarring when the third book changed to first person (I did this, I did that). Here, it's just annoying, doubly so when paired with the third person narrative in the same chapter. Pick a lane!

Thankfully, graphic sex is... well, not as graphic or gratuitous (atleast compared to the previous books). It's still there.

This is the fourth book in the Killing Eve series. So, if you haven't read the previous three, you'd be pretty much lost as to the identity and the background of the main characters. If you have, on the other hand, read (and enjoyed) the series, you might enjoy this one too. Might.

I'm sure that we have all at least seen some of the TV show Killing Eve?
Well, I've watched all the series and as many have, been obsessed with following the cat and mouse escapades of Eve and Villanelle.

This was my first time reading about them in print, yet this book is actually the fourth book of the series and follows on somewhat from where we left off in the series.
However, I believe that the TV series doesn't fully follow the book series as written.

It was great to be back with the pair who are now living off grid in Russia - but when Eve goes missing, Villanelle is lulled back into her old life as she goes on the hunt to find her.

As this was the first book that I've read, I spent a little time looking out for the differences between this and the TV series.
But, the similarities made me feel instantly at home with these characters and allowed me to settle straight into the storyline.

This was skillfully written and the dark humour that we've grown used to is evident throughout.
The dynamic between the characters is addictive but this still felt as though I'd missed out on something.

Packed with adventure, we find ourselves travelling Russia to Paris and London and I was racing through the pages to find out what had happened and how things would play out.

This was such a good read and I definitely feel like I need to go right back to the start to get the full effect of the series - I've also spotted that book 5 is in progress and I cannot wait to see what the series holds for us next.

I am a HUGE Killing Eve fan so I was absolutely buzzing to be able to read the latest book in the series. It gave me the Villanelle fix I’ve been missing!

It did not disappoint! It’s fast paced and is told through a mixture of 3rd and 1st person, it was easy to differentiate between the two.

It keeps you on your toes, you don’t know what’s going to happen next. It’s thrilling, suspenseful and comical in parts.

Whilst I was reading, I could vividly picture the characters thanks to the portrayal within the show and I really hope that Luke Jennings brings out more, I’d love to keep the Villanelle/Eve story alive, I never want it to end!

I highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of Killing Eve and fans of psychological, spy thrillers!

Overall, I give this 5 stars!

I loved the TV series of Killing Eve but this is the first of the books I have actually read.

I enjoyed reading the characters as it gave me an insight into their thoughts and feelings.
Villanelle/Oxana is just as darkly funny on the page as on the screen. From the book it is even more clear how much she loves Eve.

Such interesting characters and I love their dynamic together.

The book is written in both first and third person and switches between them for each character which I have never seen before so was unusual but I did enjoy.

Overall a good read.

Lue Jennings Killing Eve stories are so wonderful! I was so excited to see a new one and the return of Oxana and Eve. These stories are fast paced and fun! This new title in the series does not disappoint! Highly recommended!

It is SO GOOD to be back in the world of Villanelle and Eve!

Packed with dark humour, ruthless actions - and a complex web of deceit- this 4th book from Jennings is a beauty.

For me personally, part 1 in particular was simply stunning - with Villanellle at her rawest form - and reminiscent of the TV show from years ago.

Short chapters, dark humour and different POV made for a quick read of this fast paced thriller.
Oxana is such a dark fascinating character, if you’re familiar with the tv series you will be familiar with the characters of Villanelle and Eve, this is book 4 in the series and expect action, suspense and violence.
Such a great concept I cannot wait for more.

I have loved these books and the latest Killing Eve: Resurrection by Luke Jennings and this is the 4th book in the excellent Killing Eve series. It was a brilliant read from start to finish with brilliant twists and turns throughout. This latest book continues with Eve and Oxana who are both living in St Petersburg after faking their deaths. They are Now living under the radar, which is very hard for both of them. But, Oxana remains vigilant band she is also restless and she is now drifting back into her bad ways and her old life.
Now, Eve has gone missing, and it awakens Villanelle, she goes on the hunt to track down her prey.

Does she track down her prey before they track her down?

WoW this book was AMAZING and had me turning the pages over to find out what happens next.
I am So glad I read these books as well as what the series. . . . But the books are so much better!

I really enjoy this series. Villanelle is the unlikely hero that never fails to make me laugh in the most unlikely of scenarios!
The first half of this story is action packed, the second half slows down a little in terms of pace, however I was already hooked in by this point and so the slower pace didn't impact on my enjoyment of the read.
Set a little while after events you will be familiar with if you've watched the show, we find Eve and Villanelle living a life in hiding, but its not long before we are back in the clutches of the Twelve and meet the new characters introduced through that. I really liked the new characters we met, and I think there is lots still to explore in this world.
A really enjoyable read that I'd definitely recommend.

As someone who loved and devoured the original Killing Eve books, I was simultaneously nervous and excited to pick this book up. Jennings has done an incredible job of writing a book which continues in the world and feels wholly organic and makes sense to exist. I loved the idea that Oxana / Villanelle was feeling restless after the life she lived, settled in a world of suburbia. I also just love how completely devoted she is to Eve. An absolutely fantastic and gripping continuation, highly recommend.

I have waited so long for this! Can't contain my excitement. Eve and Villanelle are back and I am so here for it!

This is one of those rare occasions where I've seen the spectacular TV show and then wanted to read the books. Luke Jennings is a gifted author who has, in my opinion, created one of the greatest, yet flawed, female protagonists ever - lets just gloss over the fact that Villanelle is a homicidal psycopath with only flashes of vulnerability. Villanelle is the kind of person you should certainly steer clear of in real life, but as a character in a book (or TV show) she is an absolute legend. The interaction between the 2 female leads is exciting, thrilling, tense and emotional. If you jump into this long running saga for the first time with this book, you will miss out on vital character progression...go back and read the others or watch the TV show. Resurrection is a darkly poetic, richly atmospheric read. Fans of the series will devour it. If this is the final chapter, it’s a bloody good one!

I loved the original Killing Eve trilogy - discovered it through the TV series and very quickly found and read all 3 books. So was really excited when I saw a new book out.

In the end, the book was an easy read, and as a fan of Villanelle and Eve - I enjoyed it immensely, however, it fails to capture the original excitement of the original book. It starts very well and as you progress through the book, it starts to become a little hard to swallow some of the story (as in could that really happen?) - but it's still a good book. Thinking back, this is exactly how I felt when I read the 3rd book in the series.

Villanelle and Eve are back—yes, again—and this time they’re doing what any normal couple does: hiding out and being dangerously in love. Of course, Villanelle can't go five minutes without causing chaos, so she makes one teeny-tiny, world-shattering mistake... and just like that, the drama kicks off. Cue a high-speed, high-stakes game of "Catch Me If You Can," where Villanelle is furious, petty, and out for revenge. Basically, if you breathed near Eve the wrong way—run.

Another absolute banger of a book that sucks you in like Villanelle spotting someone wearing off-brand perfume. I especially loved the beautifully toxic dynamic between Villanelle and Balice. It’s a classic case of “will they, won’t they... kill each other,” sprinkled with emotional damage and sass.

As a fan of both the books and the TV series, it was really thrilling to read this new adventure between Villanelle and Eve. This book wraps drama, romance, espionage, and persecution in an entertaining and dark plot. Delving into the perspectives of both during the book, shows how interesting and unique they can be. It can draw you into this intoxicatingly dangerous with these intriguing characters and this magnificent premise. Few twists and turns as well as action-packed scenes which made it more enjoyable.

I loved the other books and tv series so I was excited to delve back into their universe of danger and high stakes. For me this definitely keeps the obsession alive.

Just finished reading Killing Eve: Resurrection and yeah... I’m unwell in the best way. This book gave everything I needed, tension, chaos, obsession, all of it. I flew through it.

The vibe is dark and addictive. The characters are still a mess in the most entertaining way. I don’t even know how to explain it except that I was locked in and could not stop reading.

If you love drama, danger, and a little psychological warfare, this one’s for you.
