Breaking His Law exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed both main characters, Nathan and Ari there was genuine chemistry between them that made their relationship feel authentic. The office romance was well-executed, with plenty of plot and depth woven throughout the story. Nathan’s family added warmth and heart to the narrative, and I found myself loving every one of them. This book had it all: love, lust, strong character connection, family values, and just the right amount of tension. Overall, a solid and thoroughly enjoyable read.

A strictly forbidden billionaire boss romance.
The Hart brothers book one.
Nathan Hart meets Arianna Donovan and she's out to destroy his father.
Nathan she so desperately wants to hate, is going to be a big challenge for her to resist, this is not part of her plan, this is dangerous, but for her family she has to see it through.
Oh my what a sexy story this is.
Two people ending up not been able to resist the charms and want to be together more and more.
The story is going to end when the truth comes out broken.
But can the strength of this couples love see them through.
Emotions will fly during reading this book.

Breaking His Law by VH Nicholson is a gripping romance that blends deceit, emotional turmoil, and slow-burning tension into an addictive read. The connection between the main characters crackles with energy, their chemistry undeniable and intense. This is a sultry, emotionally charged story of redemption and desire that’s hard to resist.

First time reader of a VH Nicolson book let's say it won't be my last. From the start she has a way of capturing you in her writing.

From what I thought was another kidnapping at the start to Nope... this turned into another can't put it down.

Breaking His Law will have you wanting to know more, laughing throughout, Is Nathan going to play by his rules he's set in place ( because Noone wants to date a lawyer that is married to his work ) He's meant to be alone to keep putting the long hour's in for the hunt family business to keep it what it is and will continue to be in the future for him and the rest of the hunt family.

Just when you think you have guessed the outcome of part's of this story you will be wow did that happen, to feel sad and wanting to help Arianna.

It's a beautiful spicy romance fiction just wanting for you to start reading and been hooked.
Enjoy

OMG i loved this book so much. This is my second book by this author (both ARCs) and ARG they were so good.
The boss x employee was sooo good
Plot=4/5
Spice=3/5 but not till the end.

I could not out this down. It was soo addictive.
I need to read her other books ASAP

The only reason it’s a four is that the ending was super rushed and there wasn’t a lot of backstory for arianna and I feel like the book relied on it a lot

Thankyou netgalley for providing me with with ARC in exchange for my honest review!!!!

Breaking His Law by VH Nicolson had me hooked from the very first chapter. It’s the perfect mix of forbidden tension, slow-burn romance, and emotional depth — and honestly, I couldn’t get enough.

The chemistry between the characters is electric. Every glance, every moment of tension had me flipping pages like my life depended on it. Nicolson does an amazing job of building that forbidden, can’t-touch-but-want-to-so-bad energy that makes a romance totally addictive.

But what really made this book stand out for me was the heart behind it. It’s not just steamy (although... it definitely is) — there’s real emotional connection, real stakes, and real growth. I found myself rooting so hard for the characters, even when they made messy, complicated choices.

If you’re a fan of forbidden romance with all the angst, all the spice, and characters that make you feel everything — Breaking His Law is a must-read. VH Nicolson delivers all the feels, and I’ll be thinking about this one for a while.

Arianna Donovan is looking for revenge against the law firm that let a killer get away with her family’s death. Nathan Hart, the son of the lawyer that let it happen, is now in charge of one of the biggest law firms in the country. To get her revenge, Arianna applys for a job at the law firm, hoping to take them down. But when she meets Nate in the bar before her start date, she has an incredible one night stand with him, thinking she won’t actually run into him much at work. She’d be wrong.

Read if you go feral for:
*** Billionaire playboy
*** Age gap romance
*** Dual POV

This was a sexy, fun read! Will definitely pick up more books by VH Nicolson!

Thank you to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for the ARC of this novel; all opinions are my own.

Oh Vicki, this was SO good!!!

Breaking his law is book 1 in this new series featuring the Hart brothers and what a start to the series!

Nathan Hart is a lawyer who meets Arianna Donovan in a bar one night. She knows who he is but doesn’t let on. When a mix up with her new job means she ends up as his secretary sparks continue to fly, and despite Ari hiding a big secret, neither can deny their chemistry. Nathan falls so hard and fast for Ari, but how will he react when he uncovers the truth?

This was such a beautiful story that I couldn’t put down. I loved both Nathan and Ari, and really felt for them both in different ways. I don’t always love when there is a secret that is carried throughout a book but it worked well here. Vicki’s storytelling continues to captivate you and leave you wanting to know what’s going to happen next! The ending was lovely but I would have really liked a longer epilogue, and hope we see lots more of Nathan and Ari in the rest of the series. I’m so excited to read Eli, Max and Cole’s stories!

Huge thanks to the author, Boldwood Books and NetGalley for this ARC.

VH Nicolson writes such a good story and it was about half way through when I realised the start of the story and the main plot was missing, she brought it back round but in a light hearted way. 4 stars as the chemistry was 100% but there was a few things missing for me. .
Thanks netgalley for letting me read and review.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Nathan Hart should be illegal he's that hot!

Breaking His Law is a deliciously spicy billionaire boss romance set in a huge law firm in San Francisco that is owned by the Hart family.
Arianna is out for revenge against the firm that represented the man who ripped her world apart.
As someone who has lost so much at the hands of another only for it to be covered up, I truly felt that VH Nicolson captured the rage and hurt that comes from having everything you know taken from you. The writing feels authentic, and the author clearly understands and can convey with considerable skill complex human emotions onto the written page.

The prologue sets the scene perfectly for understanding Ari's immense loss and why years later, she's understandably out for revenge. I thought the balance between understanding Ari's feelings whilst telling the story of revenge amidst the smoking hot chemistry with Nathan was brilliant. Grief is such a complex process, and the author has captured the dichotomy of how sadness and joy can co-exist in a split second. Whilst grief and revenge is the initial driver of Ari's actions, the author hasn't allowed the book to become bogged down by it and the love story between Nathan and Ari shines through.

If you put the brilliantly written revenge plot aside, you have a smoking hot alpha male in Nathan, and the chemistry with Ari is intense. Whilst he's initially a bit of a boss hole when Ari shows up in his workplace, the development of his character through the course of the book is perfectly pitched.
Ari, like other VH Nicolson leading female characters, is hugely likeable - she's trying to be strong so she can avenge her family, but she shows vulnerability, too. Nathan's brothers and their banter is top-notch, and I can't wait to read their books. I also loved Nathan's mom, and everyone should have a Joseph as a work bestie.

If you like the following, then you'll love Breaking His Law:
✅️ Contemporary romance
✅️ Spicy, combustible chemistry
✅️ Billionaire romance
✅️ Workplace romance
✅️ Standalone books in a series with 4 hot brothers
✅️ Banter between siblings
✅️ Swoony moments

5-stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 100% recommend

Nathan Hart starts out as a conceited jerk! But he does redeem himself! The love scenes are very hot!! And there’s lots of angst and tension. I’m not a big fan of deception but in spite of that I did really enjoy the story. And I’m very much looking forward to reading about the other Hart brothers in future books!

I'm so sad, I love V.H Nicolson's books but unfortunately this one missed the mark for me.
Arianna was insufferable and decided to try and ruin an entire company because she thinks the man who used to run it helped the man she believes killed her family in a car crash. the car crash that was confirmed an accident based on weather conditions, but she's spent her whole adult life convinced this man was drunk or high or something and plans to take down the law firm that represented him even though the lawyer doesn't work there anymore.
she listened to bullshit from a woman she 'trusts' but when she thinks about it she was helping her old dodgy boss who had links to the cartel! but never questioned anything she said because it fit what she wanted to believe.
Nathan was also a bit of an asshole, but was at least somewhat redeemable.
Also, 3 Harry Potter references, in 2025 and especially with the current goings on of that author, really rubbed me the wrong way.

Easiest 5 stars from me! And that’s praise coming from the fact I’m not a lover on “office romance” books!

This book was fantastic! It has everything,

The spice : 5/5
The plot : 5/5
Characters: 5/5

I love Ari & Nathan together, his alpha dominance and her setting him up with all kind of wacky relaxation methods to get him to chill out had me howling!! (Did someone say goats?)

The plot was so addictive that you were honestly unsure what the outcome was going to be with Ari and her family case! But so glad of how it ended and what we seen!!

I reaaaally hope we continue with the other brothers because I cannot wait for those!!

Also.. Nathan’s mum! I love her 🥹

i could not put this one down. Ari is determined to take down the law firm that defended the man killed her family in an accident. Nathan runs the law firm. Meeting Nathan turns their world upside down. The chemistry is instant and
they both are changed. Ari started working at the firm to find evidence that Nathan's dad did something bad, but there isn't any. She never tells him what she's looking for and feels so guilty for it. Lies always come to light and they are both miserable from being apart. They hash things out with prodding from his family, but they belong together. Looking for an age gap, boss romance? Run, don't walk to this one.
