Totally unputdownable, this book had me completely hooked from the first to the last page.

I learnt a lot about the Mazzeri legend of Corsica, and also think this may be the first time I have thought anything about water skiing since I was possibly a kid seeing a small bit on TV once.

So between an island setting that interested me, water sports that aren't the most featured anywhere, and a summer to forget this is rather intriguing.

Especially once Lola decides to start asking questions and wants to discover the truth of that horrible summer all those years ago for the sake of her mother's mental health.

I loved hearing how everything unfolded, and really was unsure to know who to believe. I was loving every second of this book, it hit all the right notes for me.

I found this very hard to stick with.

I liked the location and I have never really had a problem with dislike able characters but this had no pay off.

It would be a suitable quick read for those that enjoy a thriller.

I really struggled with this book and i returned to it several times.
I liked the story of Lola but i couldn't get my head around the back story with the mother.
Just not for me, sorry.

OMG THIS BOOK!!! What a rollercoaster of a read! This was a masterful and twisty tale. I literally had no idea who to trust until the very end – I was suspicious of everyone. Just my kind of book! A psychological thriller that’ll keep you up late and read well into the night – guaranteed!

The author masterfully weaves suspense, creating a page-turner that keeps readers guessing! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and read it virtually without stopping I read it in 12 hours!

This book summed up in 3 words stunning, gripping and tense! I loved that I had no idea what the author had in store next for me. I’d highly recommend this book when it comes out it’s DEFINITELY a must read and if you don’t you are missing out!
