This second book in the Blackwood Legacy series is a fun enemies to lovers spicy historical romance. The characters steamy, chemistry along with their arguing, flirting, that led to sexy adventures were entertaining. I enjoyed revisiting Chuddleigh Bittoms with its energy and funny side characters and interesting lore. I can't wait for the next book. I highly recommend reading!

Grace Callaway is truly just such a delight. Even if I don't always rate her books a full five stars, I always have a fun time with her books and this one is no exception. Two Secrets to Surrender is about Gigi, a Lady who is determined to make the town of Chudleigh Bottoms thrive, and as part of this goal, she is helping her friend renovate this spa that had been in the friend's family for a long time. Meanwhile, super rich Conrad Godwin is determined to bring down Chudleigh Bottoms. Unfortunately for both of them, they have an immediate attraction when they have a chance encounter in the woods and then once they figure out who the other person actually is, they realize their goals are in opposition. And yet, they can't seem to resist one another.
I love the plot of this one. It was so much fun. I like the way Callaway plots her romances, actually. They're almost always fast moving and she does a great job weaving in character development as well. This one was really wonderful and I would definitely recommend! (Also, I'm obsessed with the sense of building community happening in this series and I can't wait for more.)

Gigi and Godwin are at cross purposes, but can’t fight their attraction. They fight every time they meet, but also kiss every time they meet. I enjoyed the book, it was definitely hot, and Gigi was great. Godwin was a lot less likeable, but I think that was the point and love somehow redeems the most unlikable.

A hot and sexy read that is guaranteed to jumpstart your heart. It is not for the faint of heart ❤️. Lady Gigi is visiting her brother’s country estate when she spys Conrad Godwin swimming in a nearby lake. He catches her when he overhears her as she catches a glimpse of his nude body. When he approaches her, he assumes she can’t talk and his boon for her spying on him is a kiss. When they meet later, she knows because of his reputation she cannot have a relationship with him but they are both attracted to each other and find ways to meet without benefit of a chaperone or her family being made aware. As they get closer, they test the bonds of decency with their actions and are soon head over heels. With Gigi’s disapproving father, Conrad will have to decide which he wants more, revenge against his enemies or the love of his life. Well done Grace. Looking forward to your next book!

The spice levels are off the chart in this wonderful journey back to the quaint village of Chudleigh Bottoms. You may need to wear oven mitts while reading this, the passion between Gigi & Conrad is that hot! This time we are treated to the steamy story of Gigi Harrington, the youngest child and only daughter of Marcus & Pandora from The Lady Who Came in From the Cold (Hearts of Enquiry Book 3). Gigi has the beauty, brains, & strong will of her mother, she's bored senseless by the tedium of the Season and flees to Chudleigh Bottoms first to help her middle brother Ethan in book 1 (One Kiss to Desire) and stays to help rebuild the village suffering from a rumored curse.
Opposing her is Conrad Godwin, a wealthy financier/industrialist with a secretive background. He wants Chudleigh Bottoms to continue on it's former path to ruin due to deeply personal and painful reasons from his past. Reasons he's not about to share with anyone, especially sassy Lady Gigi. But even as Conrad and Gigi face off against each other, the powerful attraction between them cannot be denied. The verbal sparring and sizzling passion between them was so enjoyable to read.
I'm a huge fan of Grace Callaway, I enjoy her writing and all of her books. Two Secrets to Surrender is definitely on my favorite book list. Grace writes such amazing and interesting characters, puts them in fascinating worlds, and creates wonderful stories for them that I am riveted to until the book ends. I am eagerly looking forward to James & Evie's story in Three Chances to Cherish, and hopefully Owen's story not too long after.
If you love steamy romance with well developed characters and a great storyline not only do I highly recommend Two Secrets to Surrender I recommend checking out the rest of the books by Grace Callaway. You won't be disappointed.

If you like your historical romance extremely spicy, Grace Callaway may be the author for you. In many ways, this felt like an old school historical romance: the MMC is set on REVENGE and only the love of an innocent-yet-extremely-horny-and-sexually-adventurous woman can stop him from turning into the kind of man he hates. Also, there are plenty of "feminine instincts" and "masculine urges" our main characters have to master (or give in to).
I liked this but I didn't love it. I usually like a high heat romance, but not all of the intimate scenes worked for me (there were some difficult word choices and a whole lot of beej content). I think this is a matter of personal preference; if you like bodily fluids in your sex scenes, you'll be pleased.
This objective review is based on a complimentary copy of the novel.

I thoroughly enjoyed this second installment of the spinoff series of Marcus and Penny's story from the book "The Lady Who Came in from the Cold" ("Hearts of Enquiry" series)! This time it is about their youngest child, daughter Gigi who wants to help her friend preserve her family legacy and turn it into a thriving business, saving the village from ruin. Her adversary is ruthless Conrad Godwin, who wants to buy the Roman bath out of revenge and destroy Chuddums.
The captivating plot is very well written, fast-paced, has enemies to lovers, opposites attract, hidden identity, broken hero, tragic past and revenge tropes, unexpected twists and turns and the author’s signature blend of emotion, humor, suspense, action, danger, dirty talk and spicy love scenes.
The tragic ghost/curse legend from the first part also plays a role in this instalment.
I loved the main characters, their verbal sparring, witty banter and the crackling chemistry between them. Conrad is a jaded morally gray alpha hero with a painful past and secrets, and Gigi is a determined, kindhearted heroine who values loyalty and honesty above all else. It goes without saying that tensions between them are inevitable. It was also nice to meet the other Blackwood family members again who have a heartwarming, loving bond.
Vivacious Lady Georgiana "Gigi" Harrington enjoys her life on her brother's new country estate in Chuddums and the solidarity of the villagers. With her wit and ingenuity, she helps her friend Miss Letty renovate her grandfather's old Roman bath and attract customers, revitalising the run-down village, which still suffers from the curse and consequences of the tyranny of a former gang of thieves.
Former prizefighter and ruthless self-made businessman Conrad Godwin, living under a false identity, has been plotting revenge for years against the people responsible for the torment and trauma of his childhood. One of them lives in Chuddums and he is determined to destroy the village.
But he hasn't reckoned with the feisty, determined Gigi, to whom he is attracted from the very first moment and who is a force to be reckoned with...
If you like engaging enemies to lovers romance novels with strong heroines, morally gray heroes that are filled with a good dose of humor, emotion, spice, suspense and unexpected twists, this book is for you!
I received a free ARC of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own and left voluntarily.

Lady Gigi Harrington has a plan to reinvigorate her struggling village and prove she's more than just a pretty debutante. But businessman Conrad Godwin has an agenda of his own and soon the two find themselves locking horns...and lips.
This is the second book in the Blackwood Legacy series. The book can stand alone, although Gigi's brother is the hero of book one and their town's history was previously introduced. This is also a second generation series, as the Harrington parents were the featured couple in The Lady Who Came in From the Cold (Heart of Enquiry, book three).
At first, I was worried that there was a lot going on with this tale: a hero with a shady identity, multiple vendettas, and a village that might be cursed. But Callaway manages to weave it all together and make the reader care about these characters. Some of Conrad's past got a little muddy for me...I wasn't sure if I overlooked something or there was just a lot of people that "did him dirty." I was frustrated with his actions in the second half, but that's why I'd lean him into villainous hero territory. He puts his pain and vengeance first and has to redeem himself. As always, Calloway's high heat level gets two thumbs up! 4.5 stars rounded to 5.
Tropes: Enemies to Lovers, Revenge, Anti-Hero/Villainous Hero
Steam: 5+
* I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

This story is a captivating enemies-to-lovers historical romance set in the quirky village of Chudleigh Bottoms. Lady Gigi Harrington, determined to save her village and prove her worth beyond being a pretty debutante, finds her efforts challenged by the arrogant industrialist Conrad Godwin. With a hidden agenda and a complicated past, Conrad is initially deterred by Gigi’s spirited nature. Their animosity soon evolves into a passionate romance filled with tension and chemistry, but dark vendettas threaten their budding love. As they navigate family challenges and village secrets, their relationship becomes both tumultuous and intensely sensual. Readers can expect steamy encounters and a storyline rich with intrigue, culminating in the exploration of an ancient prophecy that could change everything.
Yes! Yes! Yes! to the amazing spicy scenes in this book! I love that it is inspired by an erotic book that Conrad got a hold of as a young man. It fuels his fantasies and makes him a creative lover (whew!). This book is such a fun blend of humor, chemistry, and character dynamics. Gigi and Conrad's witty banter and undeniable attraction create an engaging push-pull dynamic that keeps readers invested. The quirky village setting, intertwined with elements of mystery and a supernatural curse, adds depth and excitement. It's the mystery that keeps the story going and you will not be able to put it down! The novel promises scandalous heat, emotional moments, and an enchanting journey toward love, making it a must-read for fans of the historical romance genre. With its well-crafted plot twists and engaging side characters, this installment in the Blackwood Legacy series will leave readers eagerly anticipating the next chapter in the series. The third book is teased at the end and I am here for it! This book just came out today! Get a copy. You will not be able to put it down and be prepared to swoon.

This is a wonderful enemy to lovers' story that takes place in the fictional village of Chuddleigh Bottoms.
Gigi, who is helping her friend renovate her spa, meets Conrad, a wealthy industrialist with an agenda, who wants to buy the spa and destroy the village for revenge.
The chemistry between Gigi and Conrad is scorching, there is lots of witty banter, a mystery, secrets being kept, and wonderful secondary characters that add interest and depth to the story.
This is the second book in the series but can easily be read as a standalone.
I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Spirited debutante & only daughter of a Marquis Lady Gigi Harrington wants to help revive a fading business in the quaint and quirky village of Chudleigh Bottoms. The arrival of Conrad Godwin a wealthy and arrogant industrialist jeopardizes her plans. The pair lock horns, drawn together by scorching animosity and even hotter passion.
Another riveting page turner from the author, strong characters & a well paced story had me loathe to put it down. I loved both Conrad & Gigi, their chemistry sizzled, their banter was a delight & they locked horns at every turn. There’s secrets, conflict & steam. It ticked all the boxes for me & I highly recommend it
I voluntarily read and reviewed a special copy of this book; all thoughts and opinions are my own

How the nymph tamed her satyr; he thinks he’s winning and puts up a decent fight, but she’s something else!
Gigi is a marquess’s daughter, her family’s baby, but their protectiveness is suffocating. Especially since neither of them is doing so well on their own, and so she organised a little scandal, fled the Season and nudged her middle brother into happily ever after. Now reviving his quaint village has become her new project.
Conrad is a man who, as a young boy, was cruelly cast-out time and time again by people who should have protected him and his mother. He ended up at boarding school – bullied, tortured and scarred for life. Fled, became a prizefighter and invested his winnings to become a ruthless businessman – all in the name of revenge.
They meet by accident, share an earthshattering kiss and part ways.
Their paths cross again when his plans are about to crush hers – and worst of all, she won’t back down!
He’s an obsessed, possessive, coarse brute – a conqueror. She’s anything but a meek lamb; clever, creative and caring – a healer. They spar at expert level, push right up to the I’m-going-to-strangle-you limit, and then scorching attraction obliterates all rational thought. Each and every time! Yes, a wickedly delicious case of ‘fight hard, lover harder’!
I absolutely adore this duo, their irrevocably entwined souls, their journey and the stark contrast between raw passion and heartrending healing tenderness. They see each other for who they are, and don’t beat around the bush – and that’s refreshing!
Add colourful nosy villagers, a curse, a dash of folklore, a titillating little book, foes to annihilate, a villainous mastermind, an omitted truth or two, and, of course, his hidden agenda – it will ruin everything, but nothing a near-death experience can’t fix 😉 – and you get absolutely unputdownable, thrilling, brilliant instant heat, slow burn, enemies-to-lovers romance!

I enjoy Grace Callaway books, they are spicy open door historical romance. I really enjoyed the first one in the series but I didn't like this one as much. I didn't really like Conrad, he had good reasons for vengeance, but his plan to destroy a whole village and the lives of hard working people because he was wronged by one person annoyed me. I liked Gigi she was a big hearted hero in this book. Although this wasn't my favourite I still want to read the next book in the series which is lined up in this book.

A sizzling romance with passion, desire and a battle of wits that turns into undeniable attraction and love. I loved the wonderful setting within the quirky village of Chudleigh Bottoms. Gigi and Conrad are perfection, opposites and enemies with secrets and prophecies but their connection is everything.

This story has everything that makes for great reading: romance, revenge, a mystery and a kidnapping. At times the banter between the two main characters, Conrad and Gigi is absolutely hilarious and I loved it. The story is well written and very entertaining. I loved everything about it and would highly recommend it.
I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley and are voluntarily leaving a review.

I’ll read anything Grace Callaway writes, and I think she delivers so well on creating characters you care about and want to see more from. While Conrad and Gigi are for sure the dominant couple in this book, I like how invested I am in the rest of the family and how the two other siblings love story’s will play out. I love this interconnection to this small town and I think it’s such a nice getaway from reality. The heat is high, the twists just on the right side of melodramatic, and the characters are so consistent to what I would expect. Gigi is absolutely the daughter of Marcus and Pandora, the way she is so scheming and confident while also endlessly caring and looking to do what’s best for others, screamed daddy and mama Harrington. I love this family so any time we spend with them is a win. Did the enemies turn lovers relatively quick? Sure. But there was still so much conflict after the “I love you’s” that I didn’t know how it would go. I enjoyed the small-town aspects of this historical romance, and the ghost story that seems to be intertwined in the series. Sooooo looking forward to Evie and James story since Grace writes such excellent second chance/marriage in trouble books, I know she’ll do these two justice.

This was another well written story where our heroine is so much more than the decorative accessory society would have had her be. She's got a brain and she uses it, not for personal gain but for the causes of this otherwise forgotten village. She is powerful and patient. Our hero cannot help but change his mind about his original ulterior motives. The reader will find themself changing their mind about him too.

When Conrad and Gigi meet, neither knows who the other is. Gigi surprises Conrad while he's bathing in a waterfall. They share a kiss before she runs away.
Conrad, a ruthless financier, is hiding his true identity. Turns out that he's in town for revenge on one of its citizens.
At first, Conrad and Gigi clash every time they come into contact. But, they also kiss every time they're in contact, too. There's an irresistible and fiery chemistry between these two.
This was a sexy, good story. I can't wait for James and Evie's book.

What a fabulous historical enemies to lovers romance!
Gigi and Conrad are at odds over a spa making them enemies, but they also share a a sizzling secret. How could I not fall hard for these two?! Their chemistry and banter was off the charts. The passion between Gigi and Conrad could light an entire village. I gushed over these two HARD! I liked how their romance developed and thought these two were perfect for each other.
The plot and the curse element were interesting and well done. I liked that we got more of the curse explained and am excited for more to be revealed. The plot had plenty of turns to keep me guessing to.
The spice was spectacular. I mean with their chemistry, how could it not be?
A great installment in this series! I cannot wait for the next one.

I was so excited to revisit Chudleigh Bottoms in this second instalment of the Blackwood Legacy series.
And Grace Callaway does it again with her combination of spice, intrigue, family and banter.
Sassy Gigi and “nothing can touch me” Conrad were well matched. We first met Gigi in book one of the series and it was fun to see her FMC energy come out in Two Secrets to Surrender.
Poor Conrad and his secrets. You know that's never going to go well. At times I felt as if I was in a slow motion car crash…you know when you're yelling at the page? I had a few of those!
I enjoyed seeing more of the Blackwood family in this book. They are certainly getting attached to Chudleigh Bottoms. James and Evie's story is up next.
