I loved the idea of this book. My children 5 and 7 helped pick the title and were really excited to read it. The colour and illustrations were lovely too.
Sadly the scavenger hunt itself was a little confusing. Firstly it was hard to understand what we were being asked to find- I think a page with some further clarification or an example would work better.
There were also a couple of colours that really were hard and my children couldn’t guess it, which sadly ruined the fun of the book.. a great idea but unfortunately too hard for younger readers which is I believe the intended audience

This book has absolutely gorgeous illustrations and fun rhymes which i’m sure will be very attractive to young readers. The scavenger game itself is slightly confusing; but overall it is a fun and cute concept! thanks to netgalley for letting me reading an advanced copy of this book

I can't wait to use this with students! From the colors and bugs and the enrichment tips in the back will be great for the classroom. Plus the concept of the beekeeper needing to smoke out the bees for honey and this is their activity to wait it out was really cute.

This book was really cute! I love interactive books for my three year old and she loves them too. I liked the color rhyming. A couple of the rhymes were a bit of a stretch (difficult to find a word that rhymes with orange, for example). I really enjoyed the discussion questions at the end.

Great illustrations in this fun read. It can be an interactive and fun when reading together. Thank you for the opportunity for reading this book in exchange for an honest review. Recommend.

"Scavenger Hunt" is a fun children's book about finding colorful flowers that rhyme with the given clues. The story takes kids on an exciting adventure as they search for flowers based on rhyming hints. The pictures in the book are bright and colorful, making the hunt enjoyable and engaging. Some of the clues were extremely challenging, one in particular- a child would not know what it is and when reading to children you want it to be easy for them to make their guesses. I think an extra page with an example would've been good to help clarify that the picture clue is a word and that word will rhyme with the color.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Why does a bumblebee wear a hat? Nope, not telling, not that I'm sure there's any one right answer, but it's one of the fun things you get to ponder as you read this book. Given the day off because the beekeeper needs to "smoke" the hive, a term you'll learn within, Betty Bumble Bee organizes a fun Scavenger Hunt for her friends, friends of all kinds.
The catch is that the clues ask participants to guess the target color from a visual hint. They're very well done, too, and kudos to the author for finding a way to use a tricky, two word rhyme for orange. Never fear if you don't get it as Betty Bumble Bee quickly explains each. The illustrations are bright and fun and be sure you pay attention to the background and who/what turns up in each. That was an added bit of fun and challenge. The friends work together to solve the riddles, a nice way of emphasizing teamwork as an important skill. And, needless to say, they're learning their colors and about rhymes all at the same time.
Bottom line, this was a fun book that will have children giggling and chiming in to answer with Betty as answers are revealed. Needless to say, they all involve colors, mostly illustrated via lovely, perky flowers although you may not some bug friends in the pictures that fit the description, too. Friends work together, you know. I definitely liked the different level activity suggestions at the end, falling right into the category of challenging young minds while engaging them in a fun task. My only "Huh?" moment was at the start when I wasn't quite clear on how the clues worked but that quickly became obvious to my tired ol' brain. This would make a great addition to any elementary teacher's library or parent's book stash to keep their children entertained and learning at the same time. Thanks. #BooksGoSocial for the sneak peek at this fun read/activity book. As noted, kudos for the way the author managed to find a way to work in the color orange.

Scavenger Hunt is a picture book dedicated to teaching young readers about identifying the many colors of the light spectrum. Betty Bumblebee leads the insects on a delightful scavenger hunt through the garden and gives everyone clues to find the perfectly colored flower. with rhyming text, young readers have the ability and opportunity to learn new sight words, the names of colors, and to also not only work as a team but simultaneously learn to compete in a fun task-oriented activity.
Scavenger hunt features loveable characters and a unique solution-focused theme. Children will be engaged to search for objects of certain colors as they read this action filled story either alone or with a parent, reading buddy, or teacher.

The idea behind this is super cute - I like the use of rhyming words, colors, and different insects in there as well. I'll be honest that it took me a little bit to realize what we were "looking" for was rhyming with the item on the scroll. Also props for trying to rhyme something with orange!

The illustration is lovely. The idea and story also great. At the end of the books, author also give some activity thru question to improve or value of lesson learnt.
I’m a bit disappoint when I read it via Kindle, each page is cut into two, and it is unpleasant to read it. However when I try to read it via NetGalley Reader, everything is good.

The illustrations and font choice were great in this book.
It took me a second to realize the underlined words were what we were to rhyme especially because on random pages the key words were not underlined. I think maybe it was an oversight with publishing. I def think that should be fixed.

This was really cute! I loved the repetition, I think it would make for a really fun and educational read for kids. The illustrations were so vibrant and eye catching!
