I thought this was a fun read. It did feel a bit rushed and while I have enjoyed other books by this author, this one fell a little flat.

This is my first Sophie Andrews book, but she’s got a new fan! I absolutely loved her writing style. It was so easy to read and kept my attention throughout. One of the aspects I enjoyed most is her character development. The progression of Andi and Griffin’s love story was perfectly paced. It was hard not to fall in love with these fun but flawed, relatable characters. They made each other better just by being together.

Andi fit into the Stone family like she was meant to be there all along. It had that found family vibe that just speaks to my soul. Family isn’t always blood. The emotional connection Andi shared with not only Griffin but his twins was so special. This book is the perfect mixture of fun and emotional. It’ll give you all the feels! ♥️

It’s full of everything I look for in a contemporary romance… witty banter, palpable tension, and all the heartwarming moments that put a smile on your face while reading. Not to mention the spice… woo buddy, that spice! Griffin’s praise was HOT. 🥵🔥 Yes, sir Captain Stone!

• Fire Captain & Former Navy SEAL
• Single Dad (of twins!) x Nanny
• Found Family
• Small Town
• Love After Loss / PTSD
• Teach Me Sex / Praise
• Age Gap (he’s 42 & she’s 28)

Under One Roof is a series starter, and I can’t wait for the next book!

It was an enjoyable read, quite fast if you really get invested into the story. I guess the only thing that bothered me is how there was a lack of development to the relationship of main characters. The female main character get together with the male main character at the early part of the book which make the readers anticipate more in the latter part. I don’t know if it’s just my personal preference, but I want the to main characters to slowly develop their own perspective towards the other person before the finally confess at the last few pages of the book. The right kind of spice, and the forced proximity trope gets me every time too. I still enjoyed it overall.

This book was a really quick read once I was sucked in. There was not a lot of relationship development, they just went straight to the physical, which I personally would've liked to see more of, but overall the book was cute. Spice level was just right in my opinion.

Under One Roof had me smiling while reading. This book has all that you can ask for, a meet-cute, an age gap, spice, and so much more. I can't wait to read more of Sophie Andrews books as she really knows how to write the perfect amount of sweet and spicy. Anyone who loves a good forced proximity and found family trope must read this sweet and steamy read.

Thank you Sophie Andrews for this eARC in exchange for an honest review!

A nanny, a firefighter single dad and an age-gap. HELL YEAH!

The MCs got together very quickly in this book, which made the rest of the book feel a bit uneventful. I want longing and angst!! I feel like instalove is so unrealistic, especially when there are kids involved, and that is a big turn off for me in contemporary romances.

I do feel like there were some big decisions made quickly & off page, which was kind of a let down for me personally. However, the book is VERY well written and Andrews is clearly a skilled author.

3/5 stars. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a nanny x single dad trope or a romance with no angst.

This was such a cute read—everything you’d expect from a single dad/nanny romance, and in the best way! The dynamic was sweet and heartwarming, and I especially loved how happy the kids were by the end. It gave me all the warm, fuzzy feelings. 😭❤️

The only issue I had was the overwhelming number of pop culture references early on. I almost DNFed it at around 5% because it felt like there were a hundred references per page. Thankfully, that eased up as the story progressed, and I’m so glad I stuck with it!

Overall, it’s a feel-good, charming story that fans of the trope will enjoy.

I enjoyed this book overall, despite some slow parts. It served as a good palate cleanser aside from my usual thriller reads. A storyline that strikes a balance between depth and entertainment can be quite satisfying, providing a pleasant escape without demanding too much mental energy. It's always a delight to find a book that offers a mix of engaging characters and a storyline that holds your interest.

Under One Roof by Sophie Andrews is exactly what I needed — light-hearted, charming, and full of heart. I really enjoyed the characters, especially their chemistry and banter. The plot felt fresh and engaging, with just the right amount of tension and conflict to keep me hooked without ever feeling heavy. It struck a great balance between fun and emotional, and I found myself rooting for the characters every step of the way. If you're looking for a feel-good romance that’s easy to sink into, this one’s a winner.

Thank you Netgalley and publisher for providing me the ARC of this book.

I have mixed feelings about this. I liked the story and the vibes this book was giving. But for me, it was too insta-lovey and had too much spice for the length of the book. Also in most parts I didn’t really care about the age-gap, but in the end I started to mind it a little bit (the nickname sweetheart didn’t really connect with me)

What I liked was the impact our FMC had on the MMC and how he started noticing that he was too closed of and how he was regarding his children. Those were really cute and behaved according to their age. I maybe wish we got to see a bit more pranks of theirs.

Overall it was a fun, sweet and quick read which I recommend.

3.5 stars (rounded up since it was good)

Reading Andi and Griffin's story was like watching a hallmark movie. You knew there was going to be instant love and it made the story sweet and perfect. I consumed this one within 24 hours and loved every minute of it. Griffin is super protective with a dirty mouth and the kids played some good tricks. The banter had me giggling and I cannot wait to read the second book in this series.

Single dad
Found Family
Age Gap
Grumpy sunshine
Forced proximity

Thank you to the author, Sophie Andrews and The Author Agency for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

I'm new to the firefighter trope, but this was 🔥 Andi and Griffin's story was sweet to watch, and I enjoyed the pace of the book. I was a bit thrown off with the insta-love aspect, and I think the story could have done without this trope because the couple had enough chemistry to build up the romance quickly anyway.

I give it a 3.5 spice level, with more vanilla scenes, but there are quite a few, and they are more descriptive than a slow burn novel🌶🌶🌶

Sweet, fun, sassy and sexy read. Grumpy ex Navy SEAL turned Fire Chief who is a single dad to 10 year old twins meets fun and sassy songwriter turned nanny. The twins are rockstars on their own, pulling the tricks on their nannies just to get their dads attention. Classic. The entire story was really sweet but each of the main characters have their tragic backstories that make your heart pang. Lessons about following your dreams but also how dreams can change when your circumstances change.

Andi was such a fun fmc. She was determined, independent, funny and just charismatic.

And then on the other hand you have Griffin who is a little bit grumpy, has routine, family man and.

I absolutely loved the relationship the kids have with Andi. It was a little rocky at start with some twin shenanigans but they eventually smooth things out and had a great relationship.

The way that Andi seamless just fit in with his family.

I just really loved the relationship that Griffin and Andi had. They communicated effectively and Griffin in the end just wanted what was best for Andi and her dreams. But Andi also knew what was best in her heart and where she wanted to be.

okay that was flipping adorable and sexy as hell and EVERYTHING I was looking for in a single parent / nanny age gap small town romance.

Pick it up for:

- coaching in the bedroom
- adorable twins
- stern brunch daddy vibes
- small town with lots of character

can't wait for the next one!

This was super fun and sweet and spicy. I'll be honest, the nanny/single dad trope is hit or miss for me. But when it's done well, it really works! This one definitely works. I think the kid being older helped.

I truly loved this book. It reads fast, pacing is good, and the love story is a lot of fun. I appreciate all of the Sound of Music inspiration! I have a feeling this won't be my last book by this author!

This book was heartwarming, funny and sweet.
One of my absolute favorite movie is Sound of music and when Author mentioned Captain Von Trapp, I had to read it right away.
There are lot of similarity between sound of music and this book that made me laugh out loud, nostalgic and misty yet I enjoyed as much.
Andi was running away and end up with car trouble and Captain Griffin Stone shows up to rescue her from rain and car trouble. She wasn't even sure where she was until he told her where she is. He took care of her car and her lodging. She never had anyone care for her except her best friend Dahlia. She had big dreams in LA but now no job, she doesn't know what to do until applying for a baby sitting job. Not knowing Griffin was the one seeking a nanny.
Grumpy Griffin's world is all about rules and discipline until Andi becomes his nanny. Living under his roof, Andi brings colors and life into their lives. They were suppose to remain professional but they can't keep their spark away from each other. Andi never knew love like Stone family and Griffin never opened up to anyone until Andi knocked on his heart.
Andi and Griffin needed each other more than they realize.
This was more than I expected, I really enjoy reading this book. It did remind me a lot of sound of music and I didn't mind the references and made the story even better in my opinion. It has enough steamy scenes and with HEA.
Trope: age gap, grumpy/sunshine, sweet twins (10 years old), single dad, found family, abused childhood/home

When Andi’s car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, she wasn’t expecting her whole life to change. But then she meets Griffin and everything changes. Suddenly her life is filled with a gruff, former Navy SEAL and single dad who is surprised to discover his need to take care of her, two children known to terrorize their nannies, and a cat, named Cat, willing to provide some snuggles. Although much of the storyline was predictable, this book is well-written and kept my focus so much so that I didn’t want to put it down. A fun story with just enough spice. I’m looking forward to reading each book in this new series!

Maybe 3.5. This was a great book. The were parts were I was getting bored, but they weren’t long and I love the characters, I love their relationship and the kids. It was a good pallet cleanser. I did love the storyline, it wasn’t super deep, but it wasn’t superficial.

Oh my, this was brilliant!
Andi and Griff were literally perfect for each other ❤️
There was so much good about this book: the characters, supporting characters, he falls first, single dad, fireman, the spice and the delicious slow burn 🔥
Im now going to hunt out any more books by the author and will definitely read the next book in the series.
