Thank you NetGalley, the publisher, and Sophie Andrews, for giving me an opportunity to review this ARC. I was able to finish this book in one sitting. The story was fairly straight-forward, and I liked the writing style. The relationship between Andi and Griffin was fine. However, this is a personal preference of mine... I wished the romance would've taken a bit longer to develop. It was a bit too instant-love and fast-paced for me. However, I did enjoy the family dynamics and the banter between all the characters. I especially liked it when Andi didn't just back down in the beginning! Haha. I will be giving the rest of the series a read once it comes out. p.s :') I really do feel for Grace, the poor girl and her stage fright.

I will now be reading everything by Sophie Andrews! 💖 Griffin & Andi are so good for each other. She adds sunshine to their family and he keeps her focused. I really love this story. It’s the perfect single-dad/age-gap/nanny situation. She needs to start a new life and he needs help with his kids. What we see is a beautiful love story come together. I love the kids so much too. 5 stars, highly recommend!

Let's see, I liked the book, but knowing the author's previous works, I was expecting a little more. The story of Andi and Griffin started out in a way that really grabbed me, but then it was like, well... okay, the romance was good, the chemistry of Griffin's kids with Andi was nice, but Griffin as a character didn't really click for me, like I said, I think I had a lot of expectations with this book and well, it played tricks on me, but I enjoyed it and had a good time reading it.

5 stars.
Thankyou Netgalley for the opportunity to read this arc. Expect an honest, unbiased review from me, always.
Dual POV, single dad firefighter, a wholesome, feel good, age gap, grump x sunny, romance. This book gives and has all the feels. I was hooked from the get go and is basically the book form of a hug. It is exactly what the doctor prescribes when you need a perkup from your current not so perky mood and just go to another world for a bit for some good old feel good escapism. Love all the chara tdrs, maim and side, cannot wait to see and read what's next!!
This book does not disappoint. The steam between the couple, the adorableness of the interactions with the kids and the fact that she didn't habd to do an it's either your dream career or your dream family...NO, it can be both and can work if you make it so!! Loved that.

I went into this book almost completely blind. All I had to go on was the cover, the title, and the designation of it being the first in the Stone Family series. I wasn’t at all sure what to expect, but I’m really glad I gave it a shot.
"Under One Roof" centers around Andi, a woman in her late 20s who tried to make it big in Los Angeles as a songwriter, only to lose hope and start wandering across the country until her car breaks down in a small town in Pennsylvania. Griffin, captain of the local fire station, sees her on the side of the road and stops to help. Total meet cute, right? He helps her out (in more ways than one), and then fate really goes to work when Andi applies for a job as a nanny for a single father, only to discover that it’s Griffin. Andi has to find a way to handle taking care of twins who seem hell-bent on scaring her off in the beginning and trying not to melt into a puddle every time their dad walks into the room.
The book goes back and forth between the point-of-view of both Andi and Griffin, which I really enjoyed. I’m not always a fan of dual POVs, because inevitably one person is more interesting than the other, but in this case I loved seeing inside both of their heads.
Andi and Griffin do have a rather whirlwind romance, however, there is a lot of delicious sexual tension that leads up to them finally giving in to their desires. Still, it all does happen rather fast in the scheme of things. Listen, I totally understand that some people prefer to have more of a slow burn leading up to characters developing feelings for each other. All I’m saying is that if I was single, my car broke down, and some sexy fire captain stopped to help me, and then I ended up living in his house as his nanny, I’d probably catch feelings pretty quickly too.
On top of being a quick-love kind of story, it also involves an age gap. As I said, Andi is in her late 20s, and Griffin is in his early 40s, so there are about 15 years between them, give or take. It may not be for everyone, but I’m all about age-gap romances. I’m probably a little biased since I’ve been living my own age-gap romance for the past 18 years (there are 20 years between us). Having this personal experience meant I could easily relate to the dynamic between them.
It wasn’t just the age gap that I could relate to, though. Andi deals with some insecurities throughout the book and I found that they resonated with me. The cause of my insecurities doesn't come from the same place, but it was still nice to find a character that was so relatable.
We get introduced to several of Griffin’s siblings as well, and seeing as this is book one of the Stone Family series I imagine we’ll be getting front-row seats to their love lives as well. I am looking forward to getting to know them all better, and hopefully seeing some appearances from Andi, Griffin, and the twins.
If you’re looking for a light, sexy read with a hot-as-hell fire captain, then "Under One Roof" is definitely worth picking up. It hit me with a lot of different emotions; one minute I was laughing, and then I found myself tearing up (which I totally didn’t expect from this fast-paced romance). I can’t wait to spend more time with the Stone family and see whose story we get next.

This was so heartwarming. Andi just wormed her little way into this family and really made them whole. She was the perfect fit and no one could be a better mom to those kids than her. At the beginning when she pranked them back, that's when I knew I was done for. Andi and Griff just complete each other.
I received an arc through netgalley.

As a firefighter and former Navy SEAL, Griffin is used to rescuing people until it comes to Andi Halton. It turns out the young woman in her broken-down Jeep has applied to be her nanny. Andi is trying to escape a toxic family background.
Both characters are quite endearing, with Griff struggling to cope with twins whilst maintaining a job. Andi is a great musician, but she has struggled with relationships, which stems from the trauma of disapproving parents. I did find that the relationship started quickly, but the attraction between the couple started before Andi commenced the job. Griff’s twins added to this storyline in a positive manner and made for a more realistic read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Oh, this was difficult. I really wanted to love the story and the plot, but the speed at which things happened were just WAY too fast and way too unrealistic. The writing style was perfect and something I enjoyed - variety of sentence lengths, italics to emphasize, and other techniques which I enjoy, but it was the speed of the plot and the unrealistic actions (touching her lip when he didn’t know her, objectifying her from the minute he saw her, etc) that I just didn’t vibe with. Unfortunately, this was a DNF for me, but I’m grateful for the opportunity!

Josie and Jacob know each other. Jacob has had a crush on Josie for awhile and Josie has a animosity toward him. he has kept his distance from her. Josie is a nurse and her brother sign her up to take care Jacob to recovering. they spend time together and some truths come out about each other.

I went in completely blind to this book, not really knowing what it was about, but I'm glad I did! I loved how fast-paced the story is. Even though there was an age gap, it didn't feel creepy, and you could feel the characters' growth at the end. The main thing that I didn't care for was the insta-love. I prefer when there's a strong build-up to the characters' love story. This just felt too insta-love/lusty. The romance was cute, and the spice was definitely there. So if you're in the mood for a light and sweet romance with a fast-paced story, this one's for you.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

This was a totally charming and entertaining read! My favourite trope is the single dad/parent trope, and paired with grumpy/sunshine it’s like this book practically BEGGED me to read it and I was not disappointed. It advertises Captain Von Trapp vibes and that is absolutely correct.
Griffin is a former Navy SEAL with a first responder job that is overwhelmed with parenting solo and his kids constantly act out due to missing out on time with him. His need for order and control has bled into his home and it’s clear that meeting Andi is going to change that for his household. Andi is a little bit hippie free spirit, a little bit grandma chic and homey. She brings comforting and fun vibes to the household, and the kids eventually are charmed by her. Captain Stone is also immediately smitten with her, and while she’s living in his house, nannying his kids, he’s a man down bad.
There was a lot I liked about this book, but mostly I loved how smitten Griffin was with Andi. I like that once she tells him that physical touch is her love language, he can’t stop touching her. Plus any book that references Cowboy Carter multiple times is a win in my books. Griffin’s accidental “I love you” was sweet and funny. Overall this was a light and sweet read with excellent spicy bits and great emotional depth.

I am really conflicted because there are so so many aspects of this book that I not only liked but truly loved. The relationship that Andi and Griffin build throughout the book is so special and wonderful, you can feel their emotions as they start to grow and I really do believe in their love even though it starts very fast and seems to be very insta-love. Andi also forms a healthy and lovely relationship with his children and helps him and his family by just being there and showing them love. However, the writing tended to get repetitive and went on and on at certain points and there were way too many s*x scenes that simply didn't need to be there. They love each other, they have done it a few times and it made sense but if you keep inserting those scenes afterwards for no reason, I just feel like I'm not there for their growth and development but only for spice. And for me personally, that is not the case. This is honestly 3.5 but I'm feeling generous.

Cute, cute, cute! A quick little read with a really realistic story progression giving Andi confidence and not taking away dreams! I really enjoyed this wee read! Thanks NetGalley for letting me read and review.

This book was absolutely amazing 👏🏻, I was enjoying the plot and storyline. The spice was the perfect level for me and I would definitely recommend this to everyone. I really like the writing and I really loved the age gap

I am so pleased to know this is Book 1 in a new series. After I finished this title, I immediately craved more from Andrews. It was spicy and well-written, too! Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

I freaking LOVED this book 🤩 It's soo good. Sophie did a wonderful job with creating Griffin. God, this man 🫠🫠🫠
Let me use this quote from Andi...
“Is there anything you don’t know how to do?”
This man is just so perfect. First, he is a SEAL (yeah, a former SEAL, but once a SEAL, always a SEAL). He is also a FIREFIGHTER, or even better, he is the captain!!! It's clear that this man is 🔥af, right? Then he knows how to cook. A man who can cook!!! 🫠 He knows how to dance! Loves to read 😍 He has such a filthy mouth 😎 And he is so perfect in bed. You know. She comes first. Yes, pun intended. He cares so much 🥵
I can't stop swooning about "Captain America". Do I have to? Ah, f it. It's MY review, I'm allowed to write what I want. And I want to swoon 🥰
For sure, he is a gump, how could it be any other way? 🤣 He loves his kids, even though he misses something. But that's where Andi comes in and has to deal with Thanos' kids 🙈
So, if you need to know anything else, you either need to read other reviews, or better, you need to read the book, because I'm not saying anything else 😎 But be aware, Griffin will destroy you for future men!!!

This was a really fun read! Age-gap without being creepy, instant feelings, and a plot that kept me interested. The spice was perfect and the pace was great. It's a fast read with a HEA.

When it comes to the combination of nanny, single-dad, age-gap tropes, I prefer when it's a slow-burn, which this one was not. It was immediate attraction and insta-lust, which I did not care for.
There are other small things that did not land well with me, like how <spoiler>Griffin was kinda dismissive of the mother of his kids and his wife when Andi asks about her. Also, the fact that he was solo-parenting his kids for ten years, in a super strict manner, and no one in his immediate circle talked to him about it.. until Andi</spoiler>.
I went in blind because I have really liked some books by this author, and unfortunately it didn't work out that well for me. That said, I would still recommend it to readers, because I think this will work people who love these tropes.
Thank you to the author/publisher for the ARC via Netgalley. All opinions are my own.

I just reviewed 'Under One Roof' by Sophie Andrews.
OMG... Grumpy single father...LOVE IT...retired Navy Seal turned Firefighter....THIS IS MY JAM...
Meet Griffin...your next book boyfriend....he rescues our heroine Andi from the side of the road as her jeep broke down and soon becomes his live-in-nanny for his twins. Instant attraction for both characters.... I loved the start of this book; I was enthralled by his bossy, protective nature and Andi's shy, 'don't catch me looking' smiles. These two dragged me into their story from the very first page. I loved this book from start to finish... It's a fast-paced romance journey with past family trauma and lots of growth on both characters' parts that keeps you rooting for them. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.
A sweet, small-town romance with the right amount of spice. I can't recommend this book enough. Ladies, go out and read this when it releases on May 1st. You won't be disappointed.
"Captain Stone" is your new book boyfriend.

This was a pretty cute modern day retelling of The Sound of Music just with less kids and taking place in Pennsylvania as opposed to Austria. And also no nuns or Nazis. Andi is a down on her luck aspiring song writer and Griffin is a former navy seal turned fire captain and a single dad in need of a nanny for his 10 yo twins. There's a pretty sizable age gap, she's 28 and he's 42, and she's got some serious hangups about sex due to her toxic family and a past bad relationship. And while he's no Captain Von Trapp (not the real one, the fictional one immortalized by Christopher Plummer), the sex is steamy, the romance is cute and I liked watching these characters become a family. I'm hoping his siblings all get a romance, given the name of the series and if the end teaser is right, I'm real eager for the sister's book.
