A fun biology book that's a good way to deliver some information, but also at the same time just plain daft. It posits peculiar queries ("what would life be like without knees?", "what if your liver and nose swapped places?" etc) and responds with them with their own double-paged spread, with good illustrations, some decent factoids, and the firm answer. Some educators and their clients will appreciate the way it tells you all about the human skin structure, and all about hair, just because the question was "what would being fully furry be like?", that's a given, but it's not the most logical of things at times. I'm glad I know ostriches have two kneecaps each leg, but it's not really on anyone's curriculum, now, was it? At its worst then, more childish than suitable – at its best, with the senses and other bodily functions good and bad, it's really fine.

This is a fun and quirky book, posing questions such as what if your bones turned to jelly, what if we had teeth like a hippo and what if you stored all your poos in a pile, it’s the sort of book that will gross you out but make you giggle, it has vibrant cartoon style images that quickly grab your attention and it is a great book for questioning young minds.

What a fun book explaining some of the simple things in life! My 7 year old loved it and even I learnt some new things!! Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved this one and will get a copy because it is the sort of book that you would like to keep in your library, and look at from time to time as growing up.
This book poses and answers curious questions such as what happens if you stop throwing up?, what if your whole body was covered in hair? and similar.
Engaging, hilarious, accessible, quirky and informative. My 10 yo loved it. I do not know which one of likes it more. Both hooked.
