In an effort to be honest, I DNF'd this book before I got a quarter of the way through it. In the first couple of chapters, you have a horrible best friend who tricks her unwilling friend, the FMC Charlotte, into going to a sex party. What happens next? Eh, Charlotte decides the best thing to do when being forced to go unwillingly to a sex party is to get finger banged by her bestie's target dude, Steve. Follow that with a why the heck not moment, and Charlotte immediately going to the beach and shagging a stranger. She then goes into a tizzy when (panic!) she finds a ring in his pocket. He is married and she is so betrayed by the random stranger at the sex party. Then Charlotte and Bestie hop in a conveniently idling taxi in the residential neighborhood outside the sex house, go home, and Charlotte can't get Steve out of her head.
Really? What did I miss here? Charlotte came off as immature and unlikable. The bestie is not a great person to drag a friend to something like that without knowing first. And then you have two dudes who come off as misogynistic, creepy, emotionally abusive, and gross.
I am all for erotica and don't necessarily need a great storyline or well-developed character list. All That Remains just hit wrong for me.

I only read about a quarter of this book, then lost interest.. It lacked a good storyline and I found it trite and simplistic. Maybe the draw was because the word sex was in the description. I didn't read enough to know.

First of all thank you for approving my request!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The authors writing style had me hooked throughout this book.
I didn't want it to end, a book I really couldn't put down.

I appreciate the opportunity to read All That Remains, but I have to be honest—this book was a struggle for me. At times, I felt like I had literary whiplash trying to keep up with the plot and character developments. I almost didn't finish it, and the only reason I pushed through was because I wanted to give a fair and complete review.
To start, I found it difficult to connect with any of the characters. None of them felt particularly likable, and their behavior came across as far more immature than their supposed ages. The main character’s immediate, all-consuming connection with Steve felt forced and unconvincing. Frankly, Steve read more like an emotionally manipulative narcissist than a love interest, which made it hard to root for their relationship. If the protagonist were a teenager, I might have understood the impulsive attachment—but as a young professional, her reactions felt unrealistic.
I understand that some suspension of disbelief is necessary, especially in this genre, but this story really pushed the limits. The sheer number of hospital visits due to violent encounters became absurd, and the male characters all seemed overly aggressive. Yet despite that, the main character remained inexplicably infatuated with them. It stretched plausibility too far.
Another recurring issue was the way sex was used to resolve everything. Every emotional moment, injury, or conflict seemed to end in a sexual encounter. Bad day? Sex. Fight? Sex. Hospital visit? Sex. It became repetitive to the point of being unintentionally comical. I imagine this might appeal to some readers, but personally, I found it tiresome and unrelatable.
In the end, All That Remains just wasn’t for me. The emotional arcs didn’t land, the characters felt underdeveloped, and the story leaned too heavily on clichés. I can see how some might enjoy the escapism, but I think today’s readers expect more depth and nuance.

2.5 ⭐️
I have pretty mixed feelings about either this book… it started off strong, with Charlotte, who’s had a pretty rough time, being convinced to go to a party with her friend Abby to celebrate a new job. Only when they show up does she realise Abby has brought her to an exclusive sex party… but this is where we meet Oliver and Steve… and then the chaos.
I liked Charlotte to begin with, but the shy character we were introduced to suddenly became very immature and was ready to jump in the sack with anyone.
There’s a lot of emotional abuse, a lot of jumping back and forth, and to be honest it felt a little messy.
The ending was also a bit disappointing.

overall interesting, definitely towards the end. Basically a woman with 3 love interests. there’s a lot of characters with traumatic backgrounds. I did slow down in the middle when a pregnancy trope was brought up but then things completely spun in a different direction. The last 200 pages were intense and the ending was very unexpected.

Loved this book so many unexpected twists and turns right from the word go never expected it to go from bakery to sex party 🤫

This book is definatly worth the read

Thanks to the publisher for the ARC—it was definitely an experience! From the very beginning, this book threw me into a whirlwind of twists and unexpected turns. At first, I wasn’t entirely sure where it was going—it felt a bit chaotic—but once the story found its rhythm, I was completely pulled in. The drama was nonstop, and honestly, I couldn’t look away.
There were so many tangled relationships and secrets that I kept second-guessing everyone’s motives. Just when I thought I had something figured out—boom! Another twist. The tension between the characters kept building, and I kept wondering who was really being honest and who was playing games. And that ending? Totally caught me off guard. I never would’ve predicted it, and I love when a book can surprise me like that.
Charlotte went through so much, and I have to give her credit for holding it together. What started as one wild night spiraled into a full-blown mess of betrayals, hookups, and emotional chaos—and yet it somehow all worked. It was messy, dramatic, intense, and completely addicting.

I think this book could use more structure. It was absolutely all over the place. I had a hard time enjoying the book, especially in the last 20/30%,
I also took issue with the FMC. She was abusive both physically and verbally. I think this is fine if there is character growth but she had none.
Overall, I unfortunately would not recommend this book, I’m sorry!!

Thank you for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of All That Remains by Camelia Varga. I’d like to provide my honest feedback, though I won’t be posting this review on any public platforms.
I ended up DNF’ing this book at around 30%, simply because it became a real struggle to stay engaged. The writing style felt unpolished and made the story hard to follow, while the dialogue often came across as forced or unnatural. Most conversations between characters seemed to exist solely to move the plot forward or to explain the MC's emotions. Many scenes felt more focused on delivering exposition than on showcasing meaningful character interactions.
I also struggled to connect with the characters. Most seemed to exist only to support or react to the main character, lacking depth or individual purpose, making the narrative feel flat and one-dimensional. The portrayal of the main relationship was a big issue to me. The love interest’s behavior felt intense and controlling in a way that made me uncomfortable, especially since this dynamic wasn’t questioned or critically explored within the story. Instead, it seemed romanticized and enabled by the side characters, which made it difficult for me to root for or believe in the relationship.
I genuinely wanted to give this book a fair shot, but by a third of the way through, it became clear that it just wasn’t for me. I’m grateful for the opportunity to read it early, and I hope this feedback is helpful in some way.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion/review.
I shall not be posting this review to Goodreads or Fable due to DNF-ing this book at the end of chapter 9 (29% in)
Clunky dialogue, poorly developed characters and the normalisation of possessive and emotionally abusive behaviour made it a genuine struggle to get through each chapter. I kept trying to give the book more of a chance, and each successive chapter eroded more and more good faith and any hope of the quality improving.
The plot seemed paper-thin, just a series of events with no overarching structure or seemingly building towards anything, and side characters appearing to just be enablers of the emotionally abusive relationship between Charlotte and Steve.
The insta-love vibe from Charlotte to Steve seemed unbelievable when comparing to her initial thoughts of him when he was introduced, and Steve's insta-obsession with Charlotte and his clear anger issues/stunted emotional breadth and depth made him a humongous red flag, and completely unlikable.

Hi, there. I am 68% into this book and at this point I would DNF it for now if I'd bought it myself. It is not for me. If I did a review on it I'd have to give it between a 1-2. I do not want to do this since it was an ARC. The story is fine, there are some things in the writing style I don't love but mostly I am not connecting with the characters at all. I find them all rather annoying and the storyline isn't believable. Please let me know if you'd like me to finish the book and post a review. Otherwise I will DNF it and not post a public review. Thank you for giving me the opportunity.

The story was interesting. It could have been written a little better I was about to quit many times. But I saw it through to the end. I did like the ending it had a twist I didn't see coming.

Spicy, male female, 1st person single point of view (female main character). After reading some off word choices (tuxedo instead of suit) and mixed tenses I googled this author. I believe this book was translated from another language into English, and I hope the author has another editor go through this. The story was a bit disjointed and had a web story or telanovella feel to it (tons of insta-spice/love). Twist ending that does make me want to read the next book out of curiosity.

3 stars – DNF at 35%
All That Remains starts off with an intriguing premise and a unique setup. I was curious to see where the story would go and appreciated some of the emotional threads starting to unfold.
That said, I struggled to stay engaged—mainly due to how quickly the relationship between Steve and Charlotte developed. I’m not usually a big fan of “love at first sight” stories, and in this case, it felt a bit too fast for me to really connect with their bond. While I can enjoy that dynamic when it’s well-paced, I just didn’t feel fully grounded in the characters’ relationship.
This wasn’t quite the right fit for me, but I can see it resonating with readers who enjoy fast-burn romances with a bit of mystery.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
I will not be posting a review to my Goodreads page due to dnf-ing this book at 27%. The book began so abruptly, and it seemed like there should have been more to the story before the events in the beginning of the book took place. Steven's possessiveness immediately didn't make much sense, because he hadn't known for more than five minutes before he was trying to make her off limits to anyone else. It really seemed like there should have been more of a build-up for that type of relationship. The book itself also seemed so disjointed. The way it was formatted made trying to follow the story, especially the dialogue, almost impossible. I spent so much of my effort in trying to figure out which character was saying what, that I completely lost interest in what was actually happening to them.

WTF did I just read?!?! This book was nuts! I don’t even know how to begin to process what I just read. The amount of twists and turns that this storyline took sent me on a mental whirlwind. But as crazy as it was, and oh, it was absolutely crazy… I still could not put it down. That is the fastest I have read a book in a very long time. I need book 2 NOW.

Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for providing me an ARC copy of this book.
This was a wild ride if I have ever been one!! I feel like with every turn of the page, I didn’t know what was going to happen. There was so much drama and so much mess that I couldn’t get enough of it. I will say at the start it felt a little off, but then, as I kept getting into the story, I was hooked!! Then I’m not gonna spoil anything, but I could not prepare myself for the end. Like I genuinely didn’t see that coming. It was so unpredictable that I loved it. I felt like there were so many different love triangles going on that I had no idea who we were focusing on l. That added to the drama and the mess of the story and it definitely kept me on my toes. I was like should I be rooting for this person? Who do I trust? It was so much! Like I credit Charlotte for dealing with everything she did because I don’t know how I would’ve coped with this. Then all of this started because Charlotte went to a sex party with her best friend Abby because of this guy Steve, I couldn’t believe it. And then don’t forget there’s also Oliver and Chris and it’s genuinely so much to wrap your head around, but I really really enjoyed the story. It kept me guessing and it kept me engaged.

OMG… what a rollercoaster ride that was… it had me laughing, on the edge of my seat and in tears… but that ending… we need a sequel to know what happens!!!
Absolutely loved it, completely insane!!!

This book sure does know how to tug at heart strings and emotions. It's not what you think it will be. Nor is the twist at the end. Spoiler alert I actually did the book gasp! There definitely needs to be a next book. I was hooked from the start. From the blurb it intrigued me. I thought it would be a straight forward people based drama. It was so much more too.
