Carli and Naill were best friends and then lovers when they were younger and then Niall left and broke Carli's heart. Now both of them have returned to Scotland and run into each other. Trust is hard when it has been broken, and Niall wants Carli back. His reasoning for leaving is kinda sill y but so is Carli's inability to move past it. Overall, though, a good read!

My introduction to Amber Cooper's work was highly successful, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Carli and Niall's poignant tale of second chances was expertly woven. This narrative is a rich tapestry of emotions, encompassing regret, drama, sadness, love, friendship, bullying, adventure, illness, and ultimately, the transformative power of love. Niall's journey from Scotland to Australia, driven by a desire to establish a surfing school and unresolved personal issues, is a compelling exploration of the human spirit. As he confronts the loss of his partner and friend, coupled with his father's terminal illness, Niall's long-held self-doubt is heart-wrenching. His past heartbreak, particularly the pain inflicted upon Carli, serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of trust and communication in relationships. Following their reunion, they effortlessly rekindled their relationship, picking up where they left off 17 years ago. This beautifully crafted narrative of second chances is a testament to the enduring power of love.

Ah here we are in a book that means a warm hug for all and a hug you will want to give to the characters too. What a truly emotional and well thought out book full of such love and deeply moving moments. I wanted to sit with this book and then re think all I'd read long after each sitting.
We have Carli who once loved Niall and vice versa with all their hearts. Or so Carli thought becuase Nial went and shattered it and her heart. It's clear neither have gotten over this either.
So Carlie moved a long way away. But finds herself coming home to Scotland on her mums memory.
And it feels right being here. But it's means she faced with him...the one that sue thought she never could or would again.
But Niall isn't doing so good either. He never stopped loving Carli. But seeing her again makes all his troubles feel lighter, possible.
Their connection is instant and knowing. It's true and brilliant and sexy.
But there is alot to bear for each of our sweethearts. There's old secrets and hauntings that feel too much. And current troubles of pain and loss.
What will they do.
Please all I can say is read this and have your hearts ready!
