A fun rom com which had me laughing out loud. This would be a perfect holiday read. Connie and Mateo were perfect characters as well as the supporting cast of utter chaos .
I enjoyed it
Thank you to Netgalley, Boldwood Books, and Jo Lyon’s for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review

In this chaotic and entertaining holiday romance novel, readers follow struggling singer Connie as she tries to save her career after failing her auditions and getting constant warnings from her agent. Sent to Benidorm to work with the Dollz, a hilarious and glittery girl group who live for the drama, Connie struggles to fit in and do what she must to save her career, and she continues to literally run into Matteo, an attractive local who always seems to be where Connie is to witness her screwups. As she muddles through the work trip and tries to find her stride, Connie has to figure out what she really wants and how she will get back on her feet (literally and figuratively). The characters are the absolute stars of this book, and the chaotic, occasionally cringey moments will make readers sympathize with Connie and her emotional journey. The emotional beats are well-written and the level of drama and intensity is just right. Readers will particularly enjoy the chaos of Connie’s time in Benidorm and the chemistry between Connie and Matteo and Connie and the Dollz in this hilarious and spicy but heartwarming new novel -- perfect as a vacation read or escapist entertainment -- from Jo Lyons.

The perfect summer read! I absolutely devoured this one while on a sunny summer vacation of my own.
Loved the humour, loved the romance, loved the fast-paced plot! Loved Connie and Matteo, and their entire dynamic screamed romantic tension!
Definitely a must-read this summer!

hilarious, feel-good novel about finding your confidence, chasing your dreams, and embracing the unexpected.

here were definitely parts of this story that I really enjoyed, including Connie’s personal growth and some of the scenes with Matteo.
I struggles to connect with The Dollz and their storyline and some of the scenes felt a little too far fetched for me but I can definitely imagine this being a perfect read for others as it has some great humour, romance and self discovery.

This book is sooooooo cute! Absolutely adored the summer vibes, our gal who needs a break and a cast of colourful supporting characters who make this read a complete JOY. Dreamy read for summer holidays, at home or away.

This is all of the chaos of a girls' trip put into a fun romcom!
I'm a sucker for a British romcom, + this book delivered! The Dollz are pure chaos with heart, + you can't help but root for them + Connie - even when it feels like watching reality television.
Thank you to the author + Boldwood Books for my advance copy!

Great story, I will definitely be adding this author to read more of
Connie’s mum died recently and it’s thrown her. She’s struggling to do the gigs that her manager is booking for her.
She has one last chance to change things, in Benidorm being a support act.
Will she be able to change things around and maybe meet the man of her dreams although sometimes there is some hurdles to get through to get your happily ever after

Connie is sympathetic but a bit of a stick-in-the-mud. The Dollz seem like a lot of fun initially, but they're way over-the-top. I enjoyed their interplay and watching Connie's growth, but it all seemed a bit too slapstick-y for me.

A fun and a perfect read on the beach this summer. I really enjoyed the characters and their adventure. Fast-paced book. Recommend.

Connie who has recently lost her mother and is still reeling from that is worries that her signing career has stalled and that myabe it will never take off like she wants. Connie's agent offers her a last chance to prove herself and sends her Benidorm, where she is to perform with a group called the Dollz. Connie is nowhere near ready for the drinking and antics that these girls get up to and wonders if this trip will be the grand finale of her career. Meanwhile she has met Matteo a handsome stranger who she embarrasses herself in front of repreatedly and whom she just cannot seem to stop runing into.
This author always writes cute, fun, laugh out loud books. Such great summer beach reads, a nice little palate cleanser for the more intense books that I read, sometimes, you just want a book that will make you giggle.
Thank you to Netgalley, thepubl;ishing house Boldwood Books, and the author for the opportunity to read a complimentary copy of this book in return for a review based upon my honest opinion.

A hilariously funny and sometimes cringey book of a singer and a girl band on a working holiday to Benidorm. I loved the girl's escapades and their sudden laugh out loud group antics. This book has everything you want for an easy, enjoyable read based in Spain including sun, sand and Sangria!
Brilliant, I loved it.

Thank you for this Arc! I’m sorry for the late review…
I thought Girls Just Want to Have Sun was a perfect lighthearted and funny summer read! I definitely enjoyed the plot and like the characters. This is definitely a book I recommend for your summer reading list!

I am sorry, I really did tr.y. I usually love this type of books, but this one was just too much. It was too chaotic, too loud, too many characters, too much going on and I just got stressed out whenever I picked it up to read.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing me an e-copy in exchange of my honest opinion.

I absolutely loved this book! It was fun and easy to read. Couldnt put it down! Fantastic story and characters.

Loved this book! It’s light and funny. Jo has written something that is very realistic with romance and characters that are simply great.

Lighthearted and funny. Connie’s life is falling apart. She sings beautifully but she’s not achieving her goals as a classical singer. Her agent is furious with her as she keeps creating the wrong vibe at a party. She has one last chance for her before sacking her…. Singing with the Dollz on the Benidorm Strip.
This can only go horribly wrong…..

As my first foray into Jo Lyons' writing, I was immediately drawn into the story's warmth and humor. I particularly loved the witty banter and slow-burn chemistry between Connie and Matteo; their evolving dynamic was a highlight of the book. I enjoyed the quirky characters and the comedic situations.
If you're looking for your next sun-drenched escape filled with laughter, romance, and empowering self-discovery, Girls Just Want to Have Sun is the quintessential beach read you absolutely won't want to put down.
Thank you to Boldwood Books for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

A hilarious story of what happens when the life we thought we had planned goes all wrong and somehow right?! Connie's singing career has been stuck, and when she is asked to fill in last minute as the headliner for a tourist town with a rowdy girl group, she has no choice but to make this her best tour yet. Unfortunately, she can't seem to get off on the right foot and when she thinks things couldn't get worse, they get hilarious.

this is a perfect summer book, it's one of those books that you want to read while on vacation or at a resort because it gives summer holiday vibes. the characters all had personality, it felt like we could distinguish them instead of them all grouping together. the mfc was raw, authentic, the type of person you have been or have known in your life. it was cute and quirky, definitely a romcom feel.
