I love these books. The tie in with a Bible study group and crime fighting works so well. Who knew? This one was really interesting involving scams, double lives, and real estate. Sometimes the people we think we know the best; we come to find that we really do not know them at all. And I like how that was tied into everything as well.

I love how Cooper loves her family and Grammy Lee so much that she would put herself in danger once again to help Grammy's friend. And she actually does try to stay out of danger. She does everything as close to the book as she can. And I love that they come together to pray about the cases and for each other. In the world we're living in, that just warms my heart up to read.

They are just such a family, all of them and to be honest, I am kind of jealous of that lol. I love the books, they're all great. I highly recommend and you don't have to worry about any bad language or anything like that.

How have I missed this wonderful series of books? I love this Hope Street Church Mystery series, where a church Bible study solves mysteries they "stumble" upon! Cooper and her friends meet to discuss things studied in their practical Bible Study, like the importance of gratitude, mentioning how thankfulness also produces dopamine and serotonin. Cooper's grandmother requests that the group help "investigate" a crime that has yet to have happened! This has to do with the grandmother's friend who seems to be pressured into selling her magnificent home by her granddaughter's fiancé. However, he is found murdered! The trail is examined informally by the friends, who meet with danger themselves. The book is not too long and quite appealing!

I’m so glad this series is continuing. I found it late and thought it was done but two more have come out more recently and I love connecting with the Hope Street Church Bible Study group. The writing draws you in immediately, even if there isn’t a mystery to solve, and the characters welcome you in like family. The mystery in this one starts out later but does not disappoint, with plenty of suspects to keep you guessing. The ending was beautiful with more changes coming in Cooper’s life that I can’t wait to see how it progresses.

Cooper and her Bible study group jump in to help a friend of Grammy Lee's when a not so good real estate agent tries to make her sell her home. Grammy worries the man might hurt her friend but in the end someone decided to end the real estate agents life. Cooper and the group believe that the man shouldn't have been murdered no matter how bad he was so they jump into investigating who might of killed him. They so learn the list of suspects is long making figuring out who killed him daunting. When they learn the feds are involved in his case Cooper worries danger could be in store for them. Follow along and see if they can solve the case before someone else ends.up hurt or worse dead.

This was the first one in the series that I have read and I really enjoyed it. It was nice that I was able to get to know the characters easily having not read the prior books. I enjoyed it and I will likely go back and start from the beginning!

I really enjoyed this book, and I gave it 4 stars. Even though this is the 9th book in the series you are able to read them out of order, but I recommend that you don’t. This is the second book that I have read in the series, and I can say I am having a blast.

In this book Cooper’s Grammy is up in the air with one of her friends, Esme. Esme’s granddaughter is in engaged to Ronald, who is into real estate, and they are trying to force her to sale her home. Esme isn’t ready to sale yet and she doesn’t want to go to a nursing home. Grammy ask Cooper to go to Esme birthday party with her bible study group to see if they can get more about Ronald.

At the birthday party Cooper realizes that Esme is really well off because she owns a mansion. There are some nice things in the home, and it is really too big for Esme by herself with the limited help she has hired. While there she overhears an argument between Esme, Ronald and her Granddaughter. All is not what it seems.

In the next couple of days, they find out some things that no one knew, and they have found Ronald dead in the trunk of his car. Who killed him and why? That is the main story in this book but there is also a smaller story going on at the same time. That is Coopers boyfriend is in California for a conference and her friends and family are acting weird. She is worried that he will get a job and stay there and leave her alone and what is up with everyone.

Cooper and friends are doing all they can to Grammy and her friends, but nothing seems to add up. Too many people and motives and no answers on who really did it.

Dying to Sell was another five star in this series. I love the characters so much. I can’t wait for the next one to come out.

A real estate agent tries to pressure an elderly woman into selling her fabulous home. The woman, being a friend of Grammy Lee, Cooper and the Bible study agreed to take a look into the matter. Before they even start digging, the agent is murdered. And the group finds himself not only trying to find out what the agent’s deal was, but also trying to find his murderer.

If you’re looking for an extremely cozy cozy series, this is it this is about as clean and cozy as you will get I’m not big on Christian cozy, but this doesn’t oversell or pressure on religious beliefs so don’t let that stop you. It’s well written, the characters come to life on the page, and you find yourself really engaging with them and wanting to be a part of their group.

Is the best part the story, or is it the recipes? Both are nice.

The Hope Street Church gang is planning an investigation. No, no one is dead. Yet. But this is a pre-emptive investigation to see if Grammy’s friend is being bamboozled by someone wanting her home.

The real estate agent is sketchy and unscrupulous and that is about all they have. Until he turns up dead.

There are suspects galore and then the FBI gets involved and they may all end up dead or in jail.

I just love this cozy mystery series! I always say, if Tina Radcliffe’s name is on it, I’ll read it. She’s such a gifted storyteller—her writing is warm, engaging, and full of heart. The characters she creates are so easy to love and root for, and I find myself completely immersed in their world every time I pick up one of her books.

One of my favorite elements of the series is the Bible study group. I love how this tight-knit, supportive group of friends works together to solve mysteries in their small town. It adds such a fun and unique twist to the usual cozy mystery formula, and their camaraderie brings depth to the story. The faith thread is always seamlessly woven throughout—never heavy-handed or out of place. It feels natural and uplifting, and it really adds to the charm of the series.

I also really love Cooper and Jon—watching their relationship grow and develop over the course of the series has been such a treat. Their dynamic adds a layer of emotional richness to the story, and I always look forward to seeing what’s next for them. Honestly, I think this series could just keep going and going, and I’d happily follow along for every installment!

While Dying to Sell is book 9 in the series, it reads perfectly well as a standalone. New readers won’t feel lost, but longtime fans will appreciate the continued growth of the characters and community.

Dying to Sell by Ellery Adams and Tina Radcliffe is the quintessential cozy mystery: a Bible study group are the amateur sleuths and like all amateur sleuths they tend to get themselves into some pretty tight spots. Copper Lee is the informal leader of the group when they are in sleuth mode. She is a young thirty-something who believes she has finally found her other half in Jon, a local chef and member of a prestigious family, which makes Cooper nervous. She lives in an apartment over her parents’ garage next to her childhood home from which her mother runs a baking/catering business and tries to ride herd on Grammy Lee. The Bible study group is diverse, which comes in handy when they are investigating, which they are now at the behest of Grammy Lee who has a friend who is suspicious of her granddaughter’s fiance.

As it turns out, he was found dead in the trunk of his car in the friend’s garage so they had more to investigate. One of the sleuths is a realtor so they had a reason to go to the house, check all the rooms, and take pictures. It was on one of these trips they discovered what was really going on. It was a clever mystery, and they were instrumental in bringing the culprits of the murder down. It turns out they were guilty of so much more. They got in a fix but manged to get out of it relatively unscathed. Very cute Cozy. Good characters, excellent mystery, great setting, and a very enjoyable read.

A decent mystery with plenty of suspects and twists to keep you entertained. I do enjoy Cooper and her friends and family. Yes, it is a bible study but these people aren't goody goody people. They are very normal with strengths and weaknesses. Decent people. People you wouldn't mind getting to know.

Yes, this is a Christian mystery but it isn't into the dogma of the religion but brings up some of the inspirational messages of Christianity. Plus, it isn't pounded into your head every few pages.

This was the 9th book in the series but it is easy to read as a stand alone book. This is a warm easy to read mystery drama with such lovable characters. The Bible Study Group are not only good sleuths but a superb group of friends who share the same Christian views and beliefs.
I particularly loved Grammy Lee. The recipes at the end are on my list to try as they made my mouth water each time they were mentioned in the story. As well as the story about Esme and the scrupulous realtor there is also a back story of Cooper and her love affair with Jon which adds extra interest.

This is the first book I’ve read in this series, and I really enjoyed it. There was enough backstory sprinkled through the book, so I wasn’t lost. The characters were fun to read, and their close relationships were obvious.
The murderer wasn’t difficult to guess, but the motivation was. I wasn’t even close to guessing that.  Dying to Sell is fast-paced book. It was also a quick read; I finished it in a day.

This is book Nine in this wonderful charming series. I love the Bible study group and all the characters. This mystery centers around a real estate agent who ends up murdered and involves Esme. The sleuth is intriguing and the plot compelling as always. I highly recommend this series for your reading enjoyment. Ellery Adams writes so beautifully I read this cover to cover. It is refreshing to read a Christian based series.

I've read several books in this series (but not all) and have fall in love with the Hope Street Bible study group. Cooper and her friends are such a great group of people! I really enjoy these cozy mysteries and how the crimes are solved! In this one, it starts out as a favor to Cooper's grandma, Grammy Lee, who is a hoot! I've loved her since the first time she appeared on a page that I was reading! One of Grammy Lee's friend's "might" need some help, so Grammy Lee asks Cooper and her friends just to attend a party and give their impression of a smarmy guy! When he then turns up dead later, the gang decides to help catch the killer!
I always enjoy the back and forth between Cooper and Detective Olson. After so many cases now, he's beginning to respect Cooper and her friends, but he still wants them to follow the law and be careful!
And, the other part I enjoy is the relationship between Cooper and her beau, Jon. It's such a sweet relationship and during this story, they are apart due to Jon being away on business and Cooper has doubts about his feelings for her. Ah, the ending is worth the whole book!

Dying to Sell is a delightful cozy mystery involving the Sunrise Bible Study Group. By Ellery Adams and Tina Radcliffe, this is book 9 of Hope Street Church Mysteries. An unscrupulous real estate agent is found dead at the home of Cooper’s grandmother’s friend. Cooper’s grandmother is not concerned once she know that the “Bible Study members and the Lord” are on the case. With a murder victim who daily added to his evildoing, this was one that did not bother this reader. Yet the characters reminded me that everyone deserves justice. Lots of suspects come to the group’s attention so it is not that easy to solve this crime.

A side subplot with Cooper and Jon, that is interesting. Also reminding us that gratitude is a daily needed attitude even during the hard times because the Lord is helping us through those times of our lives too. A fun read that is easy on engaging.

I really enjoyed this book. There’s an unscrupulous real estate agent pressuring Grammy Lee’s friend, Esme, to sell. Cooper and her Bible study friends are worried about Esme and begin to investigate. Someone apparently does not trust him, and he ends up a murder victim. The investigation switches from investigating him to investigating to get justice for him. This is a good, clean mystery with wonderful characters. I recommend this book and the entire series.

I hadn't read the Hope Street Church Series before, and feel that the book is fine as a stand alone. However, I will be going back to read the previous stories to get to know the characters better.
Cooper, who is a part of a church bible study group and lives on her parents property, is involved with helping the police solve a murder at one of her grandmother's friends home. The older women are suspects for a period, as well as others in town. The local policeman does warn her that "things are not what they seem", and does let her know that one of her "suspects" is not. The story is well written & moves along. Who the murderer was is not obvious from the start, which makes for better guessing.
