Looking for a quick spicy read? This book is perfect for fans of darker, smutty stories.
Anna, the main character, has a traumatic past and is both sassy and submissive. After her family leaves her at a winter retreat for two weeks, she meets Grant, the hot and dominant male lead who owns the house. He knows what he wants, and sparks fly between them.
One of the standout features of this book, beyond the steamy scenes, is the author's portrayal of healthy kinks. Readers like myself turn to erotic novels specifically to explore taboo topics such as kinks and dominance/submission dynamics. It is essential to present a clear understanding of what these experiences should look and feel like, as this empowers readers to confidently explore new possibilities in their own lives.

Thank you NetGalley for this ebook in exchange for an honest review.
Short and sweet. Maybe too short. I know this is probably not the book where you want a background story, but I did. We knew nothing at all about Grant and barely anything about Anna, just that she has issues with her mother which was spoken about at the beginning and then ever again.
It would have been nice to dive deeper into this as I felt the characters didnt have much depth, which made me indifferent towards them and this did not help in appreciating the story.
Everything started too fast for me, which is probably because the book is so short but I wish things had happened slower.

Snow Bound was a fun, very spicy quick read. I really enjoyed the main characters as well as the side characters. There was humor throughout the book and both the FMC and MMC were very likable. The spicy bdsm scenes were written well and written with care.
I’m hoping this is the first in a series because I would definitely read more from this author and in this world. Bring on Lola’s book! 🤗

No better combo than good banter, forced proximity, and realistic dynamics. My only complaint is that it felt a little insta-love towards the end with the pacing. However, I loved that MMC's dynamic was generally healthy and that of two consenting communicative adults. I also want to point out that this book was funny, which was pleasantly surprising given the description of the book.
Be warned, some heavier topics are touched on but not necessarily fully explored, probably due to the length. Make sure to read trigger warnings. Also, want to say that this is told in 3rd POV, for those who are allergic!
Of course, worth mentioning that this is a very spicy book, so there is a lot of explicit scenery along with the plot.

The start of this book was great, but it got a little rough because at some point, one of the main characters was having a phone call with a side character about something the side character shouldn't know by then. I got the sense that the author got that call mixed up with another one between two other characters. It took me out of the story, and I almost DNF'd by then because I didn't always love the way they spoke about one another, but I decided to stick it out and ended up having a fun time.
I loved the discussions around kink and consent and feel like they were handled in a way that was both graceful and realistic. That was by far my favorite aspect of this book and something I greatly appreciate, as I tend to think BDSM is a subject that authors have a huge tendency to handle in what I find to be incredibly problematic ways.
Obviously, the romance moves incredibly fast, but for an erotica boo,k that's to be expected and didn't bother me that much. Good read, overall.
Thank you, Netgally and Solitary Vice Publishing, for the ARC.

This book actually surprised me in the best way possible. I went into this book expecting spice, and boy did it deliver there, but it ended up being more than just that.
Snow Bound includes characters who feel like real flawed human beings who come together and find comfort. Anna and Grant’s chemistry was believable and felt appropriate for the story. I also appreciated that the author, Hannah Murray, made sure to include the characters communicating about their wants and kinks instead of them just jumping into their BDSM relationship with no limits in place.
I also really enjoyed Anna’s friend Lola and I’m hoping that maybe we will get to see her as an FMC in one of the future books of this series.
Thank you Hannah Murray, NetGalley and Solitary Vice Publishing for the ARC. I look forward to reading more of the Odyssey books when they come out!

I absolutely adored this book!!
Started in a really busy work week and reading slump and ended up keep going back at it. The detailed description, the complexity of the character emotions and how they unfold and most importantly for me, the goofy moments... it was all making it a 5 star read.
Special appreciation note to the most cuddliest sounding dog and the apple missles!

I was lucky to read an advance copy, thank you Net Galley. Everyone needs a friend like Lola. Lola where are you and can we be friends. Whoa! Is all I can say. Snow bound is 90% smut and 10% storyline. I wish we knew more about Anna’s family and what happened. Anna is left to spend time alone in a rental where she was lucky enough to have a nice unintended guest, Grant. After a painful first day for Grant they agreed to have some kinky fun for 2 weeks. I won’t spoil what happened during the 2 weeks, so just get ready. At the end Anna has a panic attack and leaves before their 2 week stay. Thankfully her best friend Lola is there to save the day. (Yes I will give her all credit, he he, he). They work things out and they live happily ever after. I gave it a 3 out of 5 because while the smut was wild I felt like it was missing a lot of the story line and found the last chapters the most exciting. Congrats Hannah on your new book!

Very spicy with an dom an sub relationship. The main female character runs in the guy that she thinks stood her up for a date . When he was honestly stuck in a country for work . He does security for the rich and famous.

5⭐️ 5🌶️ Well, this book started off with a bang! Chapter 2 and we are diving right in head first! This book was everything I was expecting and more. This was my first true BDSM book and while I would never in a life time want to be in that situation, it was interesting and thrilling to read.
Anna is such a brat and I love it, she had me cracking up as she said my thoughts, haha! Her friend Lola is the best girls girl and hilariously had Anna’s happiness in mind at all times. Grant was caring and attentive when it counted the most, I adored him.
This was my first Hannah Murray and I’m excited to read more of her work!

What a blast! Fast paced and full of all the shenanigans right from the get go.
The main characters are fun - a bratty FMC and a dominant MMC that knows how to handle her.
The side characters that make appearances are great - I hope we see more of them in this series.
I read this real quick too - it's not chunky, there's not too much waiting around or excess of anything, we're just down to business and getting jobs done 😉
It's a romance but weighs heavy with sexy time content and a very specific type of that kind of content. The writing of all the play scenes is great - it doesn't seem to go overboard and we get enough in-between that the romance that builds between Grant and Anna seems believable.
What a start to a series!
Thanks to NetGally and Solitary Vice publishing for the review copy of this book :)

Sorry, but this book wasn't for me!
I couldn't connect with characters, the plot wasn't for me either, although it really has a potential. What I really missed is the deepness of the story... I felt like I was thrown in the middle, so I wasn't able to connect with it.

This book was one spicy tamale!! 🥵 and it took no time to jump right in there until the very end! It was done in a different style then I'm used to, like some of what they said or how she described what they were feeling or how they said something was described in more of a British English than an American English. All in all it was a great story line and cute love story and cant forget the HEA! The BDSM Dom/sub scenes 🥵🫠 so intense and describes them so well you feel every part deep down!!

So much sex. I liked it though. I didn't want the story to end. Lola, Simon and Michael were great side characters. I hope they get a story. I would love to read them.

This book was good for what it is. Plenty of smut and kink, as well as, perhaps most importantly, respect between the consenting parties. Appreciated that there is still an element of feelings/romance; these characters clearly develop a bond beyond their sexual relationship.
Overall, a quick, spicy read. Would be interested in reading more from this author.

I did not expect this to be as good as it was. Anna ends up spending her two-week vacation alone in a rental house after her family ditches her.
Grant shows up, completely unaware his mom rented out the place finding Anna in the house. But it’s actually not their first time meeting. After a chat (and some mutual vibes), they decide to spend the two weeks together in a D/s relationship.
This was such a fun, light read with solid banter and very satisfying spice. Really nice seeing a healthy D/s dynamic for once—no toxic alpha a-holes or broken, voiceless heroines. Just two consenting adults having a good time. It felt a little bit rushed towards the end with how quickly their feelings progressed in only two weeks.
That said, it does need a bit of editing. The POV shifts mid-chapter caught me off guard more than once, so some cleanup before publishing would definitely help.
Also, I wish Anna’s relationship with her mother had either been left out entirely or explored deeper—it felt like a heavy topic that didn’t get enough page time in such a short book.
Overall? 3.5 stars. Super enjoyable, steamy, and refreshing in the way it handled kink and communication.

I was in a reading slump and this came along at exactly the right time. It was very spicy right from the start and I was Here. For. It. Didn't enjoy the miscommunication (I never do) but the spice more than made up for it. This was my first book by this author and I will seek them out for future reading!

What an interesting, spicy book! I liked the premise, just the characters meeting the way they did is kinda. Cliche and unrealistic. I did enjoy it tho!

This is the second book I've read by Hannah Murray and was a change of pace from the romantic suspense and PNR books I've been reading lately.
There were several scenes in this book that had me laughing and any book that has a dog gets bonus points from me. The book was more spice than plot, which I expected based on the blurb, and it lived up to that expectation. I still would have liked a bit more character development, but what was enough to tell the story.
There was a lot of conversation regarding consent and interests related to BDSM, and there were no scenes that I felt were non-consensual between the main characters.
Overall, the book allowed me to escape reality for a while and I'm sure I'll read other books by this author in the future.
